Love their food, service, and margaritas. Chips and salsa are always replenished. Regularly visit for excellent and consistent food.

This is one of the best Mexican cuisines I’ve ever been too. The restaurant has a very Mexican feel to it. The waiters are so nice and offer assistance whenever needed. Even though it is a bit pricey, the food certainly lived up to my expectations. Waiting for food can be thought because you can see other people eating food of the gods. Dessert is what sums up the entire meal. I would suggest you get an très leches cake with also a flan to split on your date night or any sort of occasion. Out of all the Mexican cuisines I’ve been to this is by far the best one yet. I would suggest this place for any sort of celebrations and dinner with the family.

Had a reservation, but ended up having to wait just under 40 minutes for a table. We would have gone elsewhere, but it was a Saturday night and we didn’t have a reservation elsewhere so we were kind of stuck. The hostess and waitress were very nice. I asked to speak with the manager about the wait — and they didn’t even care enough to come out and talk to us. A woman came up and said hello, but when I asked if she was the manager she awkwardly said«well… sort of.» The food was also really salty, which was good for me but not for my wife. They did give us a free dessert(which was nice but we would not have ordered one), and as I mentioned the waitress was great. But the wait and lack of caring on the part of management really rubbed us the wrong way.

This is a lovely, clean, family run business on the road to Williamstown. The food is above average Mexican. The plating is neat. The service is excellent. The chicken poblano soup is excellent. The menu was somewhat limited in that there was no description of the provenance of the food, particularly the cheeses and charcuterie. The sign outside states it serves Mexican and Spanish food but there was nothing truly Spanish on the menu. The chorizo is from Queens and tastes more Portuguese than Spanish; it did not have that strong paprika flavor you expect from Spanish chorizo. There was no wine list. We tried a side order of yucca fries and they looked like human fingers; they were fried, greasy, and would go better with hot sauce than the mayonnaise they come with. Overall it is a good restaurant and I would return for basic Mexican fare. Don’t expect Mexican high kitchen.

My boyfriend and I are vacationing in the Berkshires and we wanted to try a local restaurant. He really wanted fajitas. So we decided in coyote flaco. And we were not disappointed! I ordered the veggie fajitas and he ordered the chicken enchiladas. And the food was muy delicioso! It was so flavorful, fresh, hot and yummy! The presentation was great and the service was great. I would defined come back if I’m ever in the area again.

Really good fresh Mexican food. We had Enchilada Oaxaca with mole sauce and Spinach Quesidilla. Both entrees were presented well and had distinctive flavors of the regions. I would go there again when I’m in Williamstown.

The best gazpacho I have had outside Spain. I highly recommend this very special place. A must when you visit the Berkshires. The fajitas and margaritas are to die for.

Food was ok but I was very disappointed in the owners. They ask you to submit an email request for a reservation. We did and never got a response. I told the hostess about this and she explained that she didn’t work the computer then gave a lame excuse that some nights they don’t accept reservations for two people despite the fact that the table next to us was reserved(there was a sign on the table) and two guys were seated there shortly after us. In any case, even if that were the policy, we should have received a response letting us know.

I like restaurants that do right by their customers. Any restaurant can make mistakes. And, last night, Cayote Flaco made lots of mistakes. Food was late. One disc was undercooked. The servers looked harried. It was a bad night, which is unusual. I have come here at least seven times over the past two years and really like the food. The guacamole, for example, is among the best that I have ever had. What I do appreciate is that Cayote Flaco knew they had problems, apologized, and took off the bill all of our drinks, all of our appetizers and one of our dinners. We only paid for a handful of entrees. And, the excellent, but overworked server, Jenni, went out of her way to try to make things right. This restaurant stands behind their work and that matters a lot. Support places like this.

Odd menu. Terrible service. And salsa was tomatoes and onion. Blah. We were seated, ignored, forgotten so we left.

I came here because some work colleagues recommended the restaurant. I was less than impressed and even quite disgusted. Poor service. I dat at the bar and constantly had to call for the bartender as she never approached or looked at me for anything. The chips were cold and stale. The chimichangas were very bland and small. So far I’m at a two star, but what gives it a one star is the drink I ordered. I ordered a mojito. Everything was premade. I watched the bartender pour in all the premade juice and syrup. Then I watched the bartender grab some mint leaves and tear them, not muddle, but tear them into pieces with her dirty, unwashed hands, then put them in the drink. She did this right in front of me. I was disgusted. She later grabbed more dirty rags and plates, not once washing her dirty hands. I will never return.

We appreciate the well prepared, well seasoned food, the margaritas are great and the service is good to fabulous(see notes on super busy weekends). Little extras and specials are also a nice touch as even regulars can find something new. Lots of love in the food — fresh and good. One of our favorite local places.

I have been here several times. It is a home-run every time. This review need only be brief, since it does not take much to honestly review this place but to say that I love everything about it every time I go. It is perfect in every way, insofar as I have experienced it. I highly recommend this restaurant. It is clean and classy, but casual and affordable. The servers are attentive, highly professional, friendly, and prompt, but not at all annoying. The food is outstanding and the ambiance is quaint, subtle, soothing, and welcoming. This is easily my favorite Berkshire restaurant!

Great find. Went here with wife while on romantic getaway. The food was delicious, and very fresh. Atmosphere is great — quiet though family friendly. The owner greeted us and sat us– he is clearly Focused on qualify all around. Note that the Unilocal map location is about ½ mile off.

Wow. Not what you expect to find in this touristy western Massachusetts college town. The décor is simple, if not borderline tacky, but who cares. Salad tasted like it was so fresh it was was picked out back and had a fantastic citrus flavor. The streak was great and the margaritas were mind-blowingly good.

A solid 4 stars, this place scores high in quality and strives for authenticity with their Inspired Mexican dishes, like the Oaxacan Enchiladas con pollo and Chiles Rellenos, plus fresh-made salsa and a fabulous guacamole. Nice array of Margaritas too.

We dined at Coyote today. I had a Sangaria my friend had the Coyote Margharita which were excellent. The chips and salsa were fresh. Dinner was vegetarian fajitas and chile relleno with a salad. I had asked they add Jalapeños to my veggies and I was given pickled jalapeños on the side. The mushrooms in the veggies were from a can. The carrots, zucchini, peppers, mushroom, onions and broccoli were in a sauce, not very helpful when building a fajita. The dinner dishes were okay but nothing spectacular. Dessert was custard and apple chimichanga which was very tasty. Quick service and nice ambience.

Coming from the Bay Area to far northwest Massachusetts, I arrived with low expectations that the food could be anything other than some touristy bland version of what passes for Mexican in the hinterlands. I was wrong. The dishes here are fresh, delicious interpretations of some Mexican standards(the owners are from Ecuador, I believe). My enchilada suiza was delicious, the waiters(when they remembered we were there) were sweet… this is a place worth a return!

I think the main thing we need to remember when reviewing businesses is to manage our expectations. Here’s an example: If I went into this restaurant thinking«I’m used to California Mexican food and all other Mexican food should be held to this standard» then I would’ve had a bad time. Authentic Mexican food this is not, but what it lacks in authenticity it makes up for in charm and customer service. The servers were great and the people were very welcoming. Added bonus: Sam Rockwell was at the bar when I came in. You may remember him as Wild Bill from The Green Mile or as Eric Knox from my FAVORITEMOVIEOFALLTIME, Charlie’s Angels. Made for a great story to tell.
