Not real impressed by my cheese steak/bar food… Felt like it was #1 a bar and #2 a place to eat. The locals seemed to like the special, but their appreciation was more around the price than the food

The fall off the bone ribs was awsome. This was my first time there an i will be back. Dont judge the place how it looks. When the food comes out wow… the garlic bread to the entire meal was excellent… an the home made cole slaw!!! Dress down an relax wear, cause food is elegant…

The seafood bisque is absolutely delicious. Large copious chunks of shrimp, crab, and scallops. Devone’s hosted a surprise party for our Mom this past week, and it couldn’t have been a more memorable event. Our server was prompt and knowledgable, and steered us towards the best selections the menu had to offer. The dining room isn’t as elegant as it deserves to be for the grand food they serve here. Half of our party ordered the seafood manicotti, which came out in spectacular portions, drowning in a creamy, white alfredo-style sauce, garnished with crab. We hear it’s all handmade fresh and made to order, so be prepared to wait while the kitchen prepares your delectable dishes, which arrive hearty in size. Among us we ordered crab and shrimp bisque, shrimp balls, crab manicotti, a shrimp appetizer, and seafood with linguine. Everything was outstanding. We can’t wait to come back and try more of their fantastic seafood!

I love Devones! Seafood bisque to die for! Hamburgers are huge! You definitively wait for it as it is prepared fresh for each individual order. Totally worth it. It could use a bit of a face lift, but the food and drinks make up for the lack of aesthetics. Get yourself there! Well worth it!

If I was on death row and I had to choose my last meal it would be Devone’s chicken wings and crab balls! I love this place! Everything is good! The staff is pleasant and professional! I can’t say anything bad about this place! It’s a tasty experience everytime! It’s my favorite restaurant!

I’ve never experienced a restaurant that excepted reservations but did not honor them. I reserved a table for 6, when I arrived the hostess was turning people away. As I stepped to the hostess station I was told they were not seating anyone. When I explained I’d called that morning for a reservation I was told(after she disappeared briefly) that it would be an hour and a half before we could be seated. She proceeded to ask«have you ever been here before?» «We make everything from scratch and it’s usually an hour wait» I was in disbelief, especially since there were 2 open 4 tops, & an 8 top that was awaiting a clean & reset(looked like they have capacity for about 35 in dining room) needless to say we left along with about a dozen other potential patrons. If you don’t honor reservations DON’T EXCEPTTHEM! I will not be back. Poorly run resteraunt.

Don’t judge a bar by the appearance. This is obviously a very old, well established place that I would rate as a dive. However, the food was GREAT. Go there to eat and drink and don’t worry about the fact that it is shabby.

Recently ate here(last night) for the first time. If you like quantity over quality, then this is your place. The service was also horrendous. We actually packed up our own food because the waitress would disappear for several minutes at a time. There was six of us and one other table of 2 in the dining area. Would never go back.

We ended up at Devone’s on a night when there were several large parties in the back room. We ate at the bar, there was a very long wait and many of the entrées were not available. When our food finally came out it wasn’t good at all. As soon as they told us how crowded they were we should have left, but we really wanted to try the food because we heard it was good. It was a disappointing visit, we may go again, but most likely won’t.

I go to Devones a least 1 – 2 times a month! Food is GREAT! Can be pricey but it is worth every penny. I always get stuffed flounder with crab sauce. It is the absolute best. Always enough for left overs the next day. Make sure you have time to sit and socialize, food is made to order so it could take a little long then most restaurants!

Decent drink prices, however the top shelf alcohol is not the real deal. It is obvious they refill the bottles with a lesser quality alcohol. Stick with the wine, or the beer special of the day. Food is however quite expensive, even for the large portions. Food takes a very long time to come out. Supposedly everything is fresh and made to order, however you can taste the freezer burn. The owner, Ms. Dot is an older lady who could use some real help from Gordon Ramsey in order to get this high-priced, hole in the wall the fix it needs.

I used to dine here all the time. Dinner for three was pricey. I always get the muscles marinara. Portions are still big. Wait still long. I’d rather spend the money elsewhere. Never thought I’d say that. I used to crave this place!

The food was very good — my husband had prime rib that was a huge hunk of meat, really too large. I had manicotti — it was fresh and delicious. Here are the buts… the prices were very high. $ 39.00 for prime rib. Seruously. Give a more reasonable portion and lower the price or give an option. No one needs a 32 ounce piece of meat. The last but was that we finally received our meal 1 ½ hours after we sat down. Go with a lot of cash in your pocket and plenty of time to sit and wait.

Dark, cramped, and creepy. I got this creepy vibe walking in the door. It could be no one greeted us, that can’t tell staff from customers, and/or we were the only ones under 55. The menu was large compared to the size of the place. We didn’t eat because after thirty minutes of waiting, even asking our waitress about our meals, with«any minute» or «good food takes time». Well for the price they charge and the wait, we could have cooked, eaten, and watched a movie at home and save money and time. The bathroom was really cold, and even letting the water run a few minutes, was still cold. One time was more than enough

If your looking for an overloaded plate this is your place! However, keep in mind you will pay because Prices are expensive. They served a baked potato that must have weighed over a pound. Overkill. The food is good. I had crab cakes which were good but not the best. Husband had chicken Marsala. He said sauce was delicious but chicken was a bit tough. There was plenty left to take home for the dog. He loved it. I would much rather go to library in Williamstown where portions are reasonable and quality is better. Just my opinion.

Devone’s has the best food. The other reviewers are correct that it takes a long time. It is worth the wait. I don’t mind waiting for food that is actually homemade and not cooked in a microwave. All of the food is made with high quality ingredients so the prices are fair. Must try: Crab and Shrimp Manicotti Crabball Basket Chicken Parm Sandwich Mussels in spicy red sauce Broiled Crabcakes Seafood Bisque Cheesecake Thanks for years of amazing food Devone’s!

A hidden gem. Best bisque soup in the region. Food is made to order, so be patient. For the people looking for a cheap meal the quality here isn’t for you. Try the Greek Diners in the area that will feed you a pile of crap.

Don’t get me wrong, many of their dishes are delicious — but the price on them make a trip here few and far between. The interior is small and dark, and while we all enjoy a little mood lighting, my thoughts are the dim lights help hide the skimpy portions you’re paying a bundle for.

Confused how to rate this, because the food deserves 4.5 stars alone. The prices are high for a dive bar, and since everything is made-to-order, the food takes a long time to cook. So, I’ll meet half-way with 3 stars, «A-OK!» We arrived Sunday afternoon, the place was empty. Very dive-bar atmosphere, but lots of TVs around the bar which is cool. Drinks were good, the bartender, V, was really cool and down to earth. Food was amazingly delicious for this type of bar, but that explains why the prices are so high. the SEAFOODBISQUE is some of the best soup ever, MUST try($ 10 cup, bowl was $ 15-ish?)! Jumbo lump scallops, loaded with lump crab meat, and jumbo shrimp. So delicious, add a sprinkle of old bay for some extra flavor! I also had the open faced roast pork w/fries & slaw($ 13, $ 15 w/baked potato). The gravy on the pork was delicious, the pork was tender and melts in your mouth. The full-pound burgers are enormous, split it with a friend, or get the«Jr. burger.» The chicken cheesesteak was also huge, looked yummy. Sandwiches are $ 9-$ 15, and entrees are more like $ 20-$ 30 a plate. Overall, great place for dive bar with great food. I would recommend slashing prices a bit, and making the portions smaller. No one needs to eat those huge portion sizes! Also, don’t come in a hurry, food takes forever to cook. I liked this place, I would definitely go back.

My parents used to love Devone’s many years ago and when mom and I went on a «date night» last week we decided to give them a try again. It’s an extremely casual place with some cute Christmas tree décor and a big screen tv. Food-wise some things were excellent and others not so much but all in all it was a good meal. The menu has everything from sandwiches to salads to full dinners. We were happy to see they still start you off with a little complimentary cup of firm pasta salad. Then came a basket of garlic bread and it was so yummy — fresh Amoroso-like rolls sliced in half and broiled with a garlicky oil on top. They brought us more later without us even asking for it. The salad(included with the dinners) was old-fashioned — a big bowl of tasteless mostly iceberg lettuce with the usual carrots, cukes etc. It would have been nice if they offered a homemade house vinaigrette or something as I am not into the bottled dressings served with the salad. I ordered the gnocchi dinner($ 12) which was served in a ginormous bowl. You can choose either hot sausage or a meatball and I went for the meatball which was good — big, moist and tasty. The red sauce had a nice fresh taste I loved. The gnocchi itself was not the best gnocchi I ever had though — it was sort of hard but not in a good, chewy gnocchi way — I would have been much happier with just spaghetti. Moms broiled crab cake dinner($ 24) was delicious — wonderful, pure, shell free, lightly seasoned succulent crab meat — quality ingredients that are simply prepared never fail. You have the option of spaghetti or two veg and she got a baked potato and green beans in red sauce. The steaming potato was enormous and served with a generous portion of butter and sour cream and the green beans were excellent too — well cooked and fresh. We didn’t get dessert but our neighboring table got the brownie sundae and it was HUGE — piled high with ice cream and whipped cream. Our server was ok as a server but excellent as an entertainer. I’d go with 3.5 if we had half stars here but since we don’t I will go with a 4.
