Mediocre at best. The burgers are ok and the servers are rude to students. There are far better burgers elsewhere on spring street. The panini and salads are decent, but for the price you are safer going somewhere else

Always come here when im in the area ! Consistently great food and good service. My 4 year old loves the cheeseburgers. Favorite thing is there are many healthy options

Ate here last weekend. I got a bbq chicken sandwich and my wife got the pulled pork sandwich. Both were not good. My bbq chicken sandwich had no bbq sauce. The bartender took it back and they doused it in cold bbq sauce. I was hoping for a nice hot marinated bbq chicken sandwich. My wife said the pulled pork was very dry and had minimal bbq sauce or flavor. The fries were very good. The bartender made strong drinks, but we only were able to get one the entire time as she seemed preoccupied. We went at around 7PM on a Saturday and there weren’t many people in there. We should have recognized this red flag. Overall I would not recommend or go back. Looked like a cool place, and I have heard great things about it so maybe it was an off night, but just too many issues to overcome.

Just had a surprisingly great lunch here! Sombrero was closed, and this is behind it, so we sat on the patio.(Inside is good for watching sports.) Wasn’t expecting much from the bar food menu, but we were all pleasantly surprised. The salsa is homemade and very fresh and delicious. Two of us had Cobb salads and loved them. Turkey club wasn’t huge(especially for $ 13), but fresh and good nonetheless. Phyllis and Gemma loved the onion rings as well(though they don’t compare to the rings at Teds Fish Fry in NY’s Capital Region). And I can safely say that this was the first time I’ve ever had onion rings, edamame and chips and salsa at the same time. And our server, Rebecca, was new and did a great job!

Service was extremely slow. No water was refilled, no one asked about our food. Salmon sandwich was tasty but with portion control(small) very much in evidence). Burger was baked in an oven served lukewarm obviously pre-cooked. Fries similarly not hot or fully cooked. Bathrooms were filthy.

The food and drinks were pretty good. But the service was sooo slow. Why does it take over 20 mins to bring drinks to the table? And then when we finally got appetizers it was another 10 mins before we got utensils and napkins, which we had to ask for. Also, it was not busy at all. I want to like this place but they need to get it together.

The food here is pretty solid. There’s no question about that. However, the service is some of the worst in the area. There are too few employees working, too many awful attitudes from the wait staff, and too long of a wait. Thumbs down.

The food was great, the only problem was they didn’t clear our plates after we finished eating. Other than that it was amazing, great outside atmosphere and great food.

Really enjoyed this place. Ate outside in a great courtyard. Only complaint is the extreme nachos were skimpy for $ 12.95. Only 2⁄3 the plate when they could have been heaping. Portobello panini and holy guacamole panini with sweet potato fries were awesome and made up for the nachos. Server was very attentive and cordial, I think they deserve 5 stars.

Ducked into the Purple Pub after visiting the nearby Williams College Museum of Art. We enjoyed the ambiance(lots of conversation and classic background music). We were unsure of the beer selection — the waitress offered us a sample first. The«toasted» beer of Von Trapp Vienna Lager was excellent! We ordered a Cuban sandwich with GREAT home-made chips, a delicious bean burger and a couple kids meals. They were generous with the kids portions for the grilled cheese and chicken nuggets and fries. We will definitely stop by next time we’re in the area.

This place has some tasty bar food appetizers. The sandwiches are good, the burger is just ok. The last time we visited our fries were far from fresh. The staff are all friendly.

We decided to have lunch here after a day at The Clark. We decided to sit at the bar. I was impressed with their extensive beer selection. We decided to order the Homemade Chips appetizer, it was paired with blue cheese dressing. I ordered a Chicken Ranch Panini and one of the many IPA’s that were on tap. Food was very tasty. Bartender was friendly and attentive. Would recommend for lunch.

People can talk about the service, which has been bad, but it has gotten significantly better. Now I give it 5 stars. The wait staff is friendly and they do their jobs. They can have a conversation as well, and they also give great suggestions. The food is excellent. It’s tasty and it makes you want more. Overall, I live the purple pub!

Beware! Don’t go here if you want good service or decent food. Today, my friend and I decided to have lunch in to the Purple Pub. Two very disturbing things happened: First, as we were arriving, another group was just leaving. We overheard one person in the party say to another, «That was a TERRIBLE lunch!» Hmmm. Not a good sign. The second thing to happen was much worse. The obviously overworked waitress on the floor sat us in a corner table. So far, so good. As we were looking over the menu, my friend suddenly screamed out in pain. Turns out he had just been stung on the neck by a large black wasp. The waitress walked over and in a casual, nonchalant voice commented, «Oh, we’ve had an infestation of those(wasps) lately.» Then she added lamely, «You should put some ice on that sting.» Not, «Oh my God! Let me get you some ice to put on that right away!» Not, «Are you okay?» She showed no concern at all. Incredulous, I cried, «A wasp infestation? Are you kidding??» She calmly replied, «It’s on our patio, not inside the restaurant.» And with that she walked away. Still reeling from the pain, my friend asked to be reseated to another table. The waitress begrudgingly obliged, but then she totally disappeared. After sitting there for ten minutes with nobody coming by to check on us or take our order, we got up in disgust and left. The place had a very bad vibe. That waitress I’m sure was having a lousy day. But that’s no reason for her thoughtless, rude treatment.(Lord only knows what disease we would have gotten from their food.) We went elsewhere for lunch.

As others have said of this place, the service is pretty hit-or-miss. But, I’ll be damned if they don’t make a mean burger! To illustrate my point, sometimes I’ll ask for a burger medium-rare or rare, and it will come either medium or well done, and missing one or two of the toppings I ordered. They will rectify the mistake of the toppings, but not of the state of the burger. What ends up happening is that I eat the burger anyway, and it is pretty delicious, but not quite what I ordered. Couple that with the price point for many of the menu items as well as the massive wait times, and you get a three-star situation. I still come here often enough, however, as the choices in Williamstown are limited, to say the least, and they haven’t done anything so terrible to scare me away from those tasty, tasty burgers. Happy eating!

Really great service and great food! We were seated right away and had an excellent server this past Sunday; I highly recommend the quinoa salad with salmon. Also they have bottomless club soda and everyone seems super happy who works there! Great local spot to stop at while passing through!

Tucked back from the main street, the Purple Pub a pretty typical pub-ing place for local pupils to partake in a pint. A bit of a loud space, but the bar is massive and there is plenty of seating for in-cohesive conversing or(more likely) watching the game on the gigantic flat screen behind the bar. Our Saturday evening visit included: an impressive wait to be noticed by the moody bartendress, crowd-gauking at the televised basketball dunkathon, more raised eye browing from our o-so-patient bartendress, and then(around 10pm) local music provided at a head-splitting volume(clearly turned up to 11, Nigel would have been pleased). The musician was talented, but almost too loud to listen to(dude, go to an open mic venue where you’ll be appreciated, not this bro-hole). If you’re looking for a place to get plastered and perform the parking lot pukey prance then PP might just be perfect. Drink up, underclassmen(you’re going to need it for your reality check in the morning). On the bright side, drafts were about $ 5 each(pennies!).
