Tried to get a well-​fitting bra here but was informed they don’t carry anything under 32 band. I don’t know how a lingerie store can claim to fit any shape and size, yet stock only the same common sizes as any department or discount store … 32 – 36 bands, some 38s and mainly B-​D cups with a few Fs here and there.
Size F sounds impressive until you realize that the UK brands, which Blum’s carries, produce cups up to K and sometimes higher. F is just average! In fact the odds are pretty good that if you are wearing a 36DD right now, you probably need a 34 °F or even a 32G.
This tunnel vision with bra fitting is a huge problem in the American lingerie industry. It’s also the major reason why so many women (most estimates say 85%+) are stuck in the wrong size bra. In most towns and smaller cities across America, Buffalo included, many women cannot try on and buy their correct size locally and that has to change. If you have issues with bras like the straps constantly falling down, band pulling up in back, straps killing your shoulders, or always having to pull the bra down in front, guess what… you are a lucky member of the 85%. It’s not you, it’s the bra!
Ironically, the brands Blum’s carries (Freya, Fantasie, Natori, Panache, Wacoal) altogether comprise a wide size range of 28 – 42 B-​K and sometimes higher; why do they refuse to stock them? As someone who doesn’t fit into «average,» (and frankly I don’t think I know anyone who does) it’s so disappointing to see a store like this just catering to common sizes, especially when they are the only game in town at this time. When fitting foundations is the main focus of your business, you should be able to fit anyone. Blum’s would be doing the local market a huge favor — and would likely notice a resulting increase in sales — if they offered a true range of sizes.

If I could this retail place would deserve a negative 5. Rude employees to include a the manager. Don’t step into this store if you are looking for Nordstrom’s caliber class of service.

I have to start by saying that I have never felt badly enough about a retail store to write a bad review ever in my life. I’ve worked in retail, and I fully understand that sometimes, bad days happen. I can honestly say that I have not felt truly welcome in this store for nearly 4 years.
I am a 30HH bra size, and because of that, Blum’s is the only store in WNY that I am able to buy bras and bikini’s. While some reviewers find the store to be pricey, I do not mind saving up to shop there because I am grateful to have a store that carries my size. Having such an uncommon bra size, I’ve spent many years educating myself on what sizes/​styles/​brands work and do not work for me. That knowledge is not received well by the staff, or Lynn (the owner), especially. I often feel like I am perceived as a know-​it-​all, which makes for an uncomfortable shopping experience. Upon inquiring about specific styles or colourways within a brand, my questions are met with a dismissive attitude, rather than helpful or friendly answers/​suggestions. As someone that knows a lot about the fuller bust industry, I always hope to walk into Blums and feel comfortable and among kindred spirits. Instead, my Blum’s experience begins with dread in the parking lot, knowing that I will not be treated kindly, and that my (stifled) enthusiasm and patronage is seemingly not appreciated. Blums is a small, local business that I have always been happy to support despite a number of unpleasant experiences. Most recently, upon seeing me trying to find my size in a Wacoal style I liked, Lynn stepped in to help. When I asked if she stocked the style I liked in a 30HH, she said she did, began looking, then realized that she didn’t. When I asked if she stocked my «sister size» (32H), she said no and handed me a 34G. I knew that it wasn’t going to fit, but decided to try it on anyways to avoid seeming rude. After finding a few other items in my actual size, I was shuffled into the dressing room and as I suspected, the Wacoal bra fit awfully. While in the dressing room, I did a little Googling, and it appears that Wacoal doesn’t make any of their bras in a 30HH or a 32H. So rather than knowing that, or looking into it, Lynn put me in the wrong size and called it a day. She didn’t check on me, or ask how it fit or anything. I am saddened to say that after this recent visit, as well as a number of other bad experiences, I do not feel comfortable shopping in this store any longer.
Lynn needs to realize that all of her patrons have the opportunity to leave her store with the most amazing rush of self-​confidence as a result of a proper fitting, or an exciting purchase that makes them feel incredible about their body. Whether they needed a fitting or not. This is a feeling that no other shop in WNY can give their patrons, and Lynn should embrace and celebrate that.

This store is chock full of ladies lingerie in all shapes and sizes. Well, bras anyway. Women come here to find «the perfect fit» bra. You get measured and then then fitted. Perfectly. No matter what kind of bra you need; no matter the cut of the dress you plan to wear.
The employees here can be great, ask for the owner or manager if you want the best service.

So back and November I went to Blums in search of a bathing suit that would hold me in and could stand being in chlorine a lot. I am a water aerobics fitness instructor so I am in the pool four hours a week. When I spoke to the girl she suggested the bathing suit that I ended up purchasing. I loved the suit it fit wonderfully and did exactly what I wanted it to do. However here it is February, only four months later, and the bathing suit is completely destroyed. I followed all the directions of handwashing Coldwater no washer and dryer at all. The elastic has given in so many places and you can completely see through the bathing suit in those spots the front no longer holds me in it is a useless bathing suit. When I called to complain all they said to me was all sales are final and there’s nothing they can do about it. I’m glad that a store that feels the need to charge people almost $ 200 for a bathing suit isn’t even willing to stand behind their product. I will never shop here again.

Wonderful full service store. Personalized attention without pushy sales girls. The store is bright, clean and very well organized. I went in to find a bikini top and walked out with two complete bikinis and spent half if what I had budgeted for. They carry sizes and styles to please every one.

Bought a Bra from here 3 months ago. Washed in my washing machine on a hand wash cycle and it feel apart. The material separated from the wire. So I called and the girl I spoke with told me that their bra’s are all to be hand washed in a shower with gel soap! WHAT? If I would have known this I would never have bought from this store… who hand washes their bra with gel soap in a shower? They would not even exchange for me, and when I told her I couldn’t find my receipt but all I was looking for was an even exchange, she had to try and find my name to see if there are any records of me buying it from there. They are the only store in Buffalo that sells this brand of bra! She put more time in trying to find out and prove that I had even bought it there, then in 100% customer service satisfaction and just trying to make me happy! Looks like they need to spend their time more wisely and take a class on customer service and I do not recommend buying from a store where every item is a final sale! DO NOT RECCOMMEND THIS STORE!

Bad fitting. Inexperienced young cocky girls. Bras are scratchy & antiquated. Dressing room set up is terrible. Open the door and the whole store sees you in your scanties! Calling out for sales help hoping they hear you is another thumbs down. I go to Soma. Product is high quality & fittings are amazing. Don’t waste your time here

Great service! over the years I have become more and more frustrated with bra shopping and finding the correct size and fit. I finally decided to go to Blum’s for a real fitting and wow, am I happy I did!
The sales associate was friendly and knowledgable. She measured me and then brought a bra to try for size and then asked me a few questions about the styles I like so that she could bring appropriate bras for me to try on. I quickly decided on some options and was out of there with my new purchases and one that wasn’t in stock special ordered, all within a half hour.
I couldn’t believe how quickly I was in and out with great fitting bras! The prices were similar to that popular mall store, but I have a feeling that quality of these bras is much better. I highly recommend shopping at Blum’s and am telling all my friends! I’ll be back.
Oh – The have a bra club where you get one free after buying 7 in a calendar year. Also, they are going to be open on Sundays begnning in February.

Honestly, you cannot beat the service here. They measure you, pick out some bras, evaluate how they are fitting/​looking/​feel and bring you more until you find the right one. Erica B. was super professional and helpful in finding me a flattering bra that can support me. If you think they bras seem a little expensive, you should know that the bras are high quality and you are also paying for service/​fitting. You will leave with a great-​fitting bra. I realized I had no clue what I was doing and I was picking out bras that just didn’t fit. I will be buying all my bras here from now on. I just had another great experience and decided my 4-​star review wasn’t good enough, so here’s an update.

This store is like a mecca for people with hard to find sizes! and just like laura said they fit you and make sure the bras fit you. The best service and priced the same as online places so why pay shipping? and get personal service!

Remember when you could get properly fitted for a bra? You can still, at Blum’s on Main St. in Williamsville. They’ve recently moved from the Walker Center to the former location of Pitt Petri. The staff will measure you correctly and actually check to see how each bra fits you. I won’t shop anywhere else for bras. It only looks more expensive than a department store — and the products and service are worth every penny and more.
