Sure would be nice if their hours corresponded to what the website says. Website says they open at 8:30 on weekdays, but the proprietor came in at 9, to the great frustration of all of us waiting outside.

This store is HORRIBLE. The owner, George, hung up on me! Way to go with customer service! I live in California and needed something shipped from CT. It was dropped off at his store — I sent emails and called letting him know what was going on. He told me he’d call me when the items were dropped off. Instead of calling that day, he waited two days to call me. He told me the price would be over $ 750 for shipping because he was going to ship and pack them the way he wanted to. The items weighed about 60 pounds, he quoted me for over 200#!!! There was more than $ 500 in packing costs. I spoke with UPS who told me to make a complaint and I have done so. He used the long distance situation to his advantage, and then finally when I gave in(Having no other options) he told me to come pick them up myself and hung up. I have filed an official complaint with UPS, still do not have my item(I guess it is still at his store???) I’m having a friend in another state come pick them up and ship them to me. MORETHANTHAT, HEHASMYCREDITCARDINFORMATION, all my personal info too for the shipping. He screams on the phone, puts you on hold multiple times for long periods and generally has no idea how to talk to a paying customer. UPS says he can do what he wants because he’s a private owner — I think UPS should scan their franchisees better because this one is giving them a bad name. There are other options in Conn — I’d drive into Hartford instead of putting yourself in the same room as this man. Don’t chance it!

I will never go back into this store. I sent a package from this store that was wrongfully shipped to me. The clerk told me there was no charge. Three days later I recieved a bill from this store for so I went down to dispute it. I was told that they are not in in the busniess to dispute bills so rather than have a mess hanging over my head I said I’ll just pay it and take it up with the shipper. Ha. The woman who was just as unprofessional as the man I first spoke with said, «we don’t deal with money.» I said I need a recipe so I can fax it to the company that sent me the item in the first place and she said«go home and call UPS.» She then walked into the back room ending the conversion. I found out from the shipper that they over-charged me $ 6.95 as well. I teach in a nearby elementry school and have mailed many packages from this store because it was convienent and they have always been unprofessional and out-right rude. Go to the post office. It’s cheaper and friendlier.
