Two words: salt and pepper. We’ve been back to WP a couple of times now and I have realized that the power of basic seasoning cannot be underestimated. On one visit I had a salad with chicken breast and while the chicken was PERFECTLY cooked, much of my salad was well past its prime. Moreover we have fallen out if love with the Red Potato Pizza because of the lack of any seasoning whatsoever. If they’d just add some salt, pepper and maybe a touch of heat, they’d do all of the other ingredients justice.

Great pizza if you like heavy pizza. But if light and flaky is your speed this will bog you down for sure!

Been going here since it opened 27 years ago. Eggplant parm sandwich and dinner, casseroles, and the best pizza around. It doesn’t get better than this.

Never had a bad meal at either of Jeff’s pizza houses. Quality food, great service and very fair prices. It’s fabulous!

While the pizza is obviously its money maker, I wouldn’t really recommend coming here for anything else. Their salads are large but have recently gone a bit down hill and I was rather disappointed by my calzone because they didn’t give me red sauce with it on the side and the spinach they used in it was clearly canned spinach: super watery, dark brown, chopped up, overall not good. I grew up and Tolland and frequented this location since it was closer to my house so I have a lot of memories here and will always love it, but will always stick to pizza.

Gotta admit the red potato pizza is very good. There’s a lot going on there. First you notice a mass amount of cheese, in a good way. Potatoes, onion, chives, bacon and broccoli. It’s basically a loaded baked potato and the crust is the vehicle. The crust was good, but I think a minute or 2 longer would do it some justice as I prefer my crust a little crunchier. The large is a bit pricey at almost $ 23, but I did enjoy it.

Go-to for take out. Pizza is obviously on point, but the wings are great. Recommendations: Widow-maker pizza & old bay wings.

As a Tolland native, Willington Pizza and Willington Pizza Too are known as pizza institutions in the area. and with good reason. Their pizza and salads, and everything else for that matter are consistently good and you can always expect whatever you order to be the same, year after year. I highly recommend the red potato pizza and the antipasto salad. Perfection!

Was in the area and a friend recommended me this restaurant for dinner while on my business trip. Service Excellent service the this is very attentive she needs a menu well and was very upbeat. Was quick and prompt an offer to refill my beer when is empty and also brought and refill the water as needed. Food I forgot the name of the pizza that my friend ordered but it was delicious; refer to image. Pizza was very unique as there was potato underneath the cheese which between the cross. The cheese was very good and had good consistency and was not too greasy. The anti-pasta salad was also very good it was large and fresh and had many different types of toppings inside. Environment Environment was clean and fresh and represented a typical pizza parlor. I find the décor to be a bit busy but is nothing to ding the restaurant down for. Overall Excellent value, great pizza, good service.

My buddies and I stop here most Saturdays. The service is provided by a very professional wait staff. The food is excellent and service prompt. The ambiance, New England memorabilia makes the place a one of a kind. I highly recommend this restaurant.

The pizza was not very good. Was very doughy and why is it cut in squares? Sauce is what I would expect from a chain pizza shop, actually it was worse. Staff was occupied with other staff chatting and using cell phones. Took 3 minutes to acknowledge I was there to pick up my order. Too bad

WP2 is a great, comfortable local place. The staff are friendly, the monthly specials are frankly innovative for a pizza place, and the vibe and look of the place is great. Pizzas are good(but can they figure out how to cut the large into wedges like a normal pizza, and not into squares where someone ends up without any crust?!?), salads are fresh and hugely-portioned, sandwiches are very sound go-to’s if you don’t want pizza.

Very tasty food. Quaint restaurant, very homely, pleasant service. Freshly made. When you eat the food, you know the people who made it cared for the customer’s experience.

Stopped here totally by accident when we got off the highway to use a bathroom on our way up to CT for vacation with friends! SO glad we did! This place was fantastic! The Restaurant itself is really cute inside with a juke box and tons of fun things all over the wall. The tables have fun red and white checkered table clothes, too! Our waitress was super fun and really nice. She made tons of suggestions on what we should try knowing we were here for our first time. We ordered pizza. SHOCKER! It came out on this really cook pizza pan with bumps on it and it was so yummy! The pizza was cooked to perfection! The crust, sauce and cheese was all cooked to perfection… and suddenly all our giggles went to pure silence… just for a short while! We definitely will be stopping here again when we go back up next Summer!

It’s hard to imagine a better small town pizza restaurant in an out of the way location than this. Décor is outstanding and comfortable, with the walls lined with Americana. Clean, well-lit and with very good service. And the food is great for what it is. The pizza is deep dish style with a delicious fresh bread dough and fresh, quality toppings. Their smokehouse BBQ wings were the best I’ve had anywhere(and I’ve lived in Buffalo and have been to the Anchor Bar, so I know my wings). The accompanying blue cheese was very high quality with chunks of fresh blue throughout. Salads and potato skins were also similarly fresh, appealing and delicious. Thanks to Unilocal as we would have never found this place, but we’ll certainly be back.

I’ve been twice in one week — why because it is awesome. The pizza sauce is super tasty and the bubble bumps underneath the pizza to make sure the pizza doesn’t get soggy is brillant. I have the widowmaker — which is their take on a meat lovers. Very good and the meats they use all have the right flavor individually. Then I customized a pizza. One half was pineapple and onions — the other side was roasted peppers and onions — both were delish! Can’t wait to have another business trip in Hartford because it was only a 15 drive to this location. ENJOY!!!

How has no one reviewed this most holy of places? For 7 years I have been stopping in at Willington Pizza Too for one reason: the red potato pizza(with bacon and broccoli). ‘Red potatoes?’ you say ‘On a pizza??’. Hear me out. Sour cream(I said hear me out), sliced red potatoes, cheddar, bacon, broccoli. What was once a baked potato is now a heavenly slice of artery clogging amazingness. Goodbye pizza of yesteryear, hello pizza of tomorrow. (Also, they call it ‘Too’ because it’s the second Willington Pizza, but not inferior. So it’s really Willington Pizza Also.)
