Early BBQ

My review might not be fair because I compare the BBQ to the days when Early was alive and cooking it. Now it’s turned over to his kids. Honestly, it’s not as consistently outstanding as it was when he was getting up through the night to check on the meat and brush it with sauce. Early was quite committed to making sure his BBQ was the absolute best around. He bought the best meat and did what it took to make it the best. I can’t blame anyone for not wanting to get up in the middle of the night and do what Early did to make it the best.
It is good BBQ, just not the absolute best-​hands-​down like it used to be. Still, I make a point to go out there occasionally when I’m passing through. I enjoy the setting and nostalgia of good memories had there. The place needs a good cleaning.

Outstanding Texas BBQ!!!
⁵⁄₅ in all categories. Great slow cooked flavor, just the right amount of crisp and smoked to perfection. Service was great! The location has an ambiance that matches the quality of the BBQ. Just a ways out of town but worth the drive.
Recommended by a unanimous vote at a local bar! I had to check this place out on my search for awesome Texas BBQ. I had the 4 meat plate with Ribs, Chicken, Hot Links, and Brisket. All were family recipes passed down for a few generations and absolutely delicious!!! Save room for the Banana Pudding!
