My mother and I have been going here for years. They have recently undergone a huge renovation and the place looks great. It is always spotless. Maybe it is because of the location on hillside avenue, but there is rarely a crowd and I’ve never made an appointment or had to wait for a mani pedi. They are very polite/professional and do a great job. When I’m in town I never go anywhere else!

Had a bizarre experience there last week after frequenting the place for 2 years. I walked in to the reopened salon for a mani/pedi and was greeted with the usual«pick color». I did, as a shy worker tried to steer me towards new colors. I picked up the bottle and was ready to wait as the woman looked unsure of what to do next. A few minutes later I was ushered to a station and the shy woman began my manicure. What a disaster! My nails were uneven, her hands were shaking, there was polish everywhere. Finally she says«you don’t like it?» And I had to say that no, I didn’t. She called for someone else to come to inspect her work, they giggled, and finally a man came over to start the process over. Turns out the original woman was a hairdresser who hadn’t done nails before. So unprofessional! I will not be returning.

Last time I was here, I walked in and asked if they had anything available and was left standing there waiting for an answer for like 10 minutes. I walked out and have not been back since.

I have been going to the salon for many, many years and have always been extremely pleased with the service — — no matter who does my nails. I have silk wraps so I get fill-ins as well as changes to the wraps periodically along with pedicures. Recently, as a result of their renovating the salon, I went to several other salons in the interim; no one can compare to this salon. So glad that the renovations are finished and that they are again open for business.

I chose a color for a gel manicure. Got yelled at that I shouldn’t pick that one. Chose another. They started my manicure and mid — manicure the owner switched it to another(not either of my choices) without asking me. I always thought that the customer chooses the color and the manicurist applies it, apparently not so here. I wasn’t feeling well that day and chose not to fight them on it, but I won’t be back. I just found the atmosphere to be strange, though the place is clean and nice looking.

Wide variety of colors and the atmosphere is great, but customer service is horrible! There are only about 2 employees who have any customer service skills and manners. The owner is rude, rushes all clients through and seems unapproachable if you have an issue. The only reason this place seems to be doing ok is because of the son of the owner who actually knows how to treat customers. My last visit there consisted of them shuffling me around between 3 nail manicurists before I finally left because it was just so rude! As I was trying to leave the owner pulled my arm back refusing to let me leave and pulling me toward the chair. I don’t know about anyone else but I do not appreciate being yanked by the arm. Never going back… their prices have inflated as well as compared to other places… just rude and rude.

I’ve been going here for probably close to 5 years(whenever I’m in town). Some of the staff have changed over time but overall they are all good. Good selection of colors, good prices($ 20 mani pedi on Mon-Wed) and usually not too much of a wait. They are very friendly. Very thorough(especially with shoulder massages when your nails are drying).
