Carvel Ice Cream

This was my first Carvel experience. I tried the soft serve with chocolate and vanilla. Their swirl was broken so I got some half and half on top of each other. The soft serve is very soft, one of the softest I’ve had. It looks like it will easily melt in a hot Summer’s day.
The flavors were very rich. I’m not as thrilled about the consistency of this soft serve since it is a bit too soft for my tastes but it’s still ice cream (or cold dairy treat I guess) so I wouldn’t turn it down!
The décor inside looks like it hasn’t been updated in like 30 years.

This is one of the better and cleaner Carvel’s I’ll say. The staff is friendly and awesome and really quite informative about their tasty treats. This place does the Nutella soft serve perfectly right.

It was free small cone day from 3 – 8. Aside from the weather being gorgeous. The line was super long! The line went out the door.
The two main guys giving out the free ice cream cones were serving the soft serve ice cream with a smile. One of the gentlemen even said based on your party of people he was helping «ladies first! «chivalry isn’t dead! I think that is great customer service!
The wait for this was about 15 minutes. What people wait on a line for never seizes to amaze me. You can’t go wrong with free ice cream!
This Carvel does having parking in the rear and some street parking just read the signs.
While waiting on the long line in the freezer they have lots of saucers, cones and cakes to choose from. The cakes are made on premises and looked delicious. My favorite part of a Carvel Ice cream cake is the crunchies!

The staff is fine, the manager is extremely mean, no works there for more then a month or 2

Carvel somehow maintains small town charm while being a national chain. Their staff was super friendly, and on the day I went, it was free ice cream cone day. To have a staff working fluidly, fast, and friendly on a day like that is by far unseen. I commend their great service.
