I’ve been to this restaurant many times and have enjoyed the meal, but last night was a real let down. It was a Saturday night and we were the only ones dining. Service was only OK. The zucchini appetizer was the best part of the meal along with the tap beer. The special of the night, ribs & shrimp, tasted like it was reheated from days ago. The medium burgers were rare and the food was served room temperature! Have to cross this one off our list and try some of the newest burger restaurants popping up.

Been to TR’s once before, many years ago. But I went back yesterday with a friend from the area. It was around 3pm, so it wasn’t crowded. Sat at the bar had wings, and beer. I really enjoyed the place. Very reasonable on prices. As it got closer to 5 – 5:30, it started ti fill up. It’s small so it gets cramped and loud fast. So, if you don’t like it crowded and loud, just go earlier.

We went with our kids(5&1) early on a Saturday night. The reviews were all so good we were sure we’d find something delicious. We were wrong. The restaurant is dingy, the knives were falling apart from their handles. The potato skins were made with melted American cheese, the steak Quesadilla tasted off and there was way too much cheese on the sandwiches. What’s with all the cheese? The fries were good but that was it. We won’t be back.

Great food, great people. Nothing that is on the menu that isn’t good Highly recommend — sautéed onion burger(all burgers) — wings — cornels wrap — Ruff Ryder wrap — French onion soup — onion rings — White House basket

This place is awesome. Great bar food, great vibe. They have a huge eclectic menu of American classics. Wings, burgers, apps and entrees. Burgers are amazing! Greasy, in a good way, full of flavor! You can really taste the meet. Great spot! I don’t even live near here and it is on my radar as a go to!

This is your typical pub — nothing great in terms of ambiance, but good food and great service! I felt bad as we were a party of 7 and they asked a couple to move tables so they could put 2 together to accommodate us. Luckily the couple only had drinks served when we walked in. The service was quick which was good as we had an Escape Room appointment. There was a cute moose decked out in Irish accessories for St Patrick’s Day. It was a Friday is lent so I was forced to get the governors vegetable wrap, but I was pleasantly surprised! It was delicious! I’d like to go back and try another wrap or burger.

How can you not love this place? It’s been here for ages has a great atmosphere and fantastic food. To be honest service can sometimes be hitter mess you either get really great service or slow. But I can say I’ve never had a bad experience here. So as of been here multiple times I’m giving it five stars. Tonight mom and I went in and we shared the spinach mushroom bacon salad. Mom and a chicken and oh my goodness it was a huge salad! Lake we couldn’t even finish it. Thank goodness for Takeaway. We also shared an order of onion rings. And I can’t think of any place that gives more onion rings for an appetizer. Seriously this app could feed like four people. And they’re so good. Often when you order onion rings it’s like a little bit of onion and a huge thick greasy fried nastiness that’s around it. Now I’m not saying those can’t be delicious too. But these are easily the best onion rings ever. These are nice pieces of onion and they are more lightly fried so you get such a good flavor. I think I could go on and on forever about how good these onion rings really are. I also got an onion soup. I guess we love onion to this family. I love the onion soup because it has a huge amount of cheese and isn’t super salty. But to be honest it does not have a huge amount of onions in it. So it’s mostly a lot of broth yummy cheese and the bread croutons thing inside. It’s really good but it needs more onions for sure. Definitely going to continue going to this restaurant my family loves it and so do I. It’s perfect for its location since it’s not too far to go to so it’s great on a night when were tired and one easy good meal. Love it

Overpriced bar food. Frozen veggies. Instant mashed potatoes. Indifferent service upstairs. Burgers are ok but nothing to write home about v

The way that everything here is Teddy Roosevelt-themed appealed to the extreme nerd in me. I had a great time here. My date and I were arguably the youngest people here on a Friday night. It’s very low-key and has that«bar in the middle of nowhere where everyone knows each other and is coming by to drink and vent about their life to the bartender» vibe. So that’s cool. I got wings(medium spicy) and they were divine. It’s a big plate so I couldn’t finish it. I don’t remember what my date got, but I’m going to take a wild guess and say it was the Theo Burger. They have an extensive menu so there’s something for everyone. Check TR’s out for a cool and somewhat unique bar in the great land of Long Island.

I suggested TRs to some friends after our first choice restaurant wasn’t able to accommodate us. When I called to make a reservation, I was told I wouldn’t need one for fewer than four people(we were three) and that at the time we planned to arrive, we weren’t likely to have a problem being seated. I went into the pub downstairs, and asked to be seated. A rather surly gent – who I assume was the owner or manager – said something to the effect of «good luck with that.» He did go up to check on how long the wait would be, and came back with«probably 45 minutes.» I asked if I could wait downstairs for a table, and he told me «you’d better wait upstairs if you want to be seated.» Oooohkay. Not five minutes later, I was being shown to a table. Apparently there had been a miscommunication. My friend and I ordered a couple of beers and waited for our third friend to arrive – she was late as she had gone to the wrong restaurant. We ordered the zucchini sticks, and continued catching up. When our third arrived an hour later, we had STILL not received our appetizer; we waited another 20 minutes until the waitress returned for our friend’s drink order, and with an explanation. It seemed they were down a fryer. Isn’t that information she might have known when we ORDERED a fried appetizer? We ordered our dinners, and were told that there was no steak; they were all out. Again, isn’t this something a waitress should tell you BEFORE you order? If I hadn’t been in great company, the evening would have been a low point of dining out. The place is dated, the staff unprofessional, and the food was just so-so. In the future, I will make sure to get reservations at our first-choice place.

Hands down the best place for pub food. Everything on their menu is amazing from the burgers, to the wings, to the wraps, to the apps.

TR’s is a local place for me. Stick to the pub food and you’ll be alright. I always get the trust buster(it’s a Reuben sandwich). Wings and burgers rule here. As far as beer they have your typical beers Guinness, Bass, Bud you get the idea.

Came here with my fiancé on a whim after driving by a few weeks earlier. I had no idea this place is an institution and has been around forever.(Found this out after my parents said they used to come here!) The décor is fun and has a great pub atmosphere. Décor and menu items are all Teddy Roosevelt themed. We came here on a Monday night and the place was packed! Fiancé loved the wings and bacon burger. I had the daily quiche and salad. Always love a place that has multiple meat-free options. The fiancé loves a good Guinness or Black and Tan. His first one was poured by a female bartender and he said it was ok, but the second, which was poured by a different bartender, he said was spot-on. Consistency is needed when pouring and serving a decent Guinness.

Wonderful little place in an old building where the service was excellent all the food was very fresh it was a very pleasant dining experience. They were clearly a lot of regulars there always a good sign if the people in the area keep coming back.

Been going here once or twice a year for over 25 years and never been dissappointed. If you’re looking for great ambience and beautiful décor, keep moving — if you’re looking for good pub food, good beer and good prices however, this is the place. Better to go midweek, since weekends can get crowded and service slows down. If you love Swiss, like I do, don’t skip the French onion soup. Anything rough rider related on the menu is a good bet as are, of course, the burgers.

Disappointing. TR’s has always been my go to pub in town. Having been a regular at TR’s for over 20 years I really wanted to give them a decent review, sadly my experiences recently have not hit the mark, or even gotten close. Tonight I managed to convince my family to give it another shot, maybe we just had a few isolated bad night, things change right? No. We stopped by on a Saturday night for dinner. The diner room upstairs was hopping. A little noisy but hey, it’s Saturday night, that’s o.k. My wife just worked a 10-hour day in the office and was starving and looking for a cold beer. We sat near the bar on the second floor and ended up with the bartender as our server. I thought, hey we can live with that, at least the drinks will flow right. Nope, I had to beg to get my beer refilled. After our order was taken we really didn’t see our server again until we begged to order dessert and ask for our check. Yes, sadly we had to flail our arms overhead to get enough attention to get the check. For being less than 10 feet from the bar it has hard to believe we were ignored so much. Thankfully we caught the attention of a waitress from a nearby station to help us wrap up the left overs. She apologized for our inconvenience and help us out acknowledging«you’re not even one of my tables» I told her our waiter wasn’t exactly attentive to our table. Let’s talk food, we started with Teddy’s Spinach Dip($ 7.50). The platter came out with a slew of nacho chips and a small dish of dip. We shared the plate but there wasn’t a lot to share and way more chips than dip. For my main course I had the Rough Rider sandwich($ 14.50). The Rough Rider comes with sliced Black Angus steak on garlic bread topped with their signature tangy Rough Rider sauce. I added cheddar cheese for an extra $.50. I was happy with the dish, I order it medium and that’s how it arrived. I like the spice from the sauce. I would recommend this dish. My son had the Rooseveltian Burger Platter($ 11.00) which is a burger topped with Canadian Bacon and melted cheese. He was happy with his dish too. For dessert we opted for the New York Cheesecake($ 5.75) and the Mississippi Mud Pie($ 6.25) The Mud Pie is amazing. If you have any room left you need to try this. Brownie, ice cream, whipped cream, how can you go wrong. So overall the food was decent(average) but sadly service is really lacking. Begging for drinks and begging for the check just ruined the experience for all of us. I would hesitate to come back with a group of friends. Sorry TR, no Bully from me!

What a disappointment. Aside from the fried buffalo wings not much else to like about our visit to this East Williston eatery. Wait time for our burgers was over an hour and only after complaining we got the wings compt. Waiting over an hour for two burgers is bad, but what really pisses me off is watching a table seated twenty minutes after us get their burgers before us. Anyway, the burgers were not even that great. What is the story with the English Muffins, isn’t this an «American» restaurant? Just put the burgers on buns. We were not impressed and won’t be back anytime soon.
