I had the pork and cabbage upgraded from white rice to the fried rice and it was delicious. It was full of flavor and the portion size was much larger than expected.

I specifically created this Unilocal account to review this place. I ate here when they first opened and what I ordered was good for the most part, although everything was over priced and they charged for tap water. $ 16 for 8 wings, macaroni and«Cole slaw» really? I recently ordered several dishes for delivery. After an hour and 20 min past, I called to see if the driver was still on the way and was told they would look into it and get back to me. After an hour and a half the driver showed up with my order excluding an order of fried rice. I called again to explain this and was told I would be given a $ 30 credit on my next order. Today I called for another delivery order and was passed around from employee to employee while they tried to figure out who issued the credit, because they apparently made no note of it. Finally I spoke with the owner who, in his words«compromised» with me and gave me a $ 15 dollar credit(the fried rice I payed for and never got was $ 7) and was told I should have gotten the name of the employee who issued the credit. The owner asked who delivered the order and I told him it was an older Indian man. The owner ended up comping the whole order, but when the delivery driver showed up, the young woman who had obviously been told about everything I said, seemed upset and informed me she had never delivered for me and asked if I thought she was Indian. Despite this, I attempted to tip her generously, partly because I was made to feel like a cheap scam artist by some of the staff and because I have spent 15 years in the food service industry and regularly tip well. She refused my tip and walked away. Basically, hula grill has decent food but everything else is bad. Some of the new staff is definitely an improvement on what I’ve experienced In the past but I am still not impressed and after this experience, I will not be giving them any more business.

A bit overpriced. Pulled pork so salty I couldn’t eat it. The 2 stars are for the macaroni it’s delicious and the waitress was great. Ok added a star they were super kind about the pork offered me something else on the house, I’ll be back.

Who would have thought I’d find a place like this up here. Food was excellent, portions were a good size. I had the Maui Wowie Wings. They were delicious, I would not kiss my girlfriend after eating them because they leave that garlicy after taste. The macaroni salad that came with meal wasn’t that impressive but what island dish would be complete with out it.

Ill give it two stars. One star for our improper expectations, one star for our food. Took the wife out for date night, we got dressed up and everything. We walked in the door, and we knew we should have turned around and walked out. Loud, local TV playing, horrid ambiance, and awkward wait staff. Our food was ok. The ribs were cooked well, but badly seasoned. The teriyaki chicken was good. The pulled pork sandwich was just bad. The coleslaw was wet cabbage with no seasoning, the macaroni salad tasted like it came from Cashwise. Its our fault for going there for dinner. It could be a ok lunch place. And the food was cooked properly, just very poorly seasoned. I dunno, probably go somewhere else.

Great food and service. It was surprising to find it here in the heart of oil country. I especially enjoyed the macaroni/potato salad and pineapple iced tea.

Excellent food, my wife and I shared a big kahuna ribs plate and took home leftovers. The ribs were tender and perfectly prepared, and the staff was extremely friendly and courteous. I hope the road gets fixed soon so thus place is more accessible to more people.

Actually really good! The macaroni salad had potatoes in it(I believe) And I really like it. I got the teriyaki steak. It was good, but my husbands Teriyaki chicken was even better and my friend Loved his Ribs! They did forget to give us all coleslaw :-(But the food taste itself was good. Served us a Pineapple tea while we waited for our to go order. It was pretty good! :-) Cost me around 55.00 for three plates

This place is really, really good. All great island menu basics, done right. Spam musubi(try it!), fried rice, ribs, maccaroni salad, and kalua pig. All awesome! Jerry – one of the owners – is very hospitable and the server, Megan, provided some of the best service we’ve had(in Williston or anywhere else in the country).
