Let me start off by saying that once I received my sandwich(the Julius Caesar) it was wonderful(even though it was missing the black olives and croutons that the menu said it came with). However it took me over 20 minutes to get my sandwich, and people who had come in after us and ordered after us received their sandwiches before we did. We actually had to ask where our sandwich was not once, but twice! Additionally the guy who was in line before we were said he had called 30 mins prior and ordered his sandwich when he reached the counter and they had forgotten to make it. It seems as though the others who were sitting down had been waiting a long time for their sandwiches also. This was my first visit and although I was happy with the end product I was very unhappy with the service. My co-worker who had suggested we go there and who had been a routine customer said she would likely not come back. I am willing to give it another shot seeing the food in the end was good.

The great – the pilgrim sandwich. Well blended taste combining roast beef, stuffing, cranberry mayo as well as cheese along with lettuce. The not great… the price. If you order the pilgrim, there is an up-charge for bacon and sandwich bread. I was shocked when the initial ring up was $ 12. So, dropping bacon and sliced bread, I got a great sandwich for $ 7. Still a bit high but tasty. The accessories – 20oz $ 2.50, bag of small chips $ 1.75 and one oatmeal cookie $ 1.50. $ 2.28 added tax, total was $ 14.03 Sandwich was great but in the future i will get my accessories at nearly Hannafords or Shaws. BTW. the pilgrim is not a sandwich one could try to eat while driving.

This place might be pricey, $ 10 for a sandwich, but I have never been disappointed. They are there when I need them, the food is delicious, and the portions are respectable.

Credit card machine down. Cash only. Out of bacon and no discount offered to account for missing bacon. Be nice if a few more outdoor tables existed.

I had my second bad experience in a row. Last time I went, I placed my sandwich order and waited over a half hour and, seeing others that ordered after me come and go, asked how long it would be. They had somehow misplaced my order, and their way of making it up to me was to make it next. Annoying, but not a huge deal. But my next trip I ordered the same sandwich and the sprouts on it were brown, rancid and slimy. I had gotten back to my office by the time I was eating it, and tried to remove all the rotten sprouts, but the whole sandwich tasted spoiled. At a minimum, for the high prices I’d expect fresh ingredients not visibly spoiled food. The first sandwich I got was good, but at nearly $ 12 a sandwich, I won’t be suffering long waits and gambling on whether or not I will get rotten food again.

Sandwich was tasty, but not worth $ 10+ Upon entering, I walked into the two staff members having a very crude conversation, which wouldn’t have bothered me if they insisted on finishing their conversation before asking if I could be helped. After placing my order, the male sandwich maker who I think was on break, because he had just sat down to eat, hollered to me from across the shop saying«ma’am, just so you know, the tip jar is in front of you». YIKES! I ALWAYS at the very least put my loose change in tip jars, and leave more if warranted. I felt like I should’ve taken money OUT of the jar for such rude behavior. I got my sandwich to go, and ate in the car. I will not be back there, and I don’t recommend it!

It was a Sunday morning when I decided to visit Vermont Sandwich Co. It was too late for a much-sought Sunday brunch, but too early for lunch, but a wrap bursting with fresh veggies sounded like just the thing. Flash forward just a few hours and I my parking my car in the somewhat small Vermont Sandwich Co. parking lot on Williston Rd. First impressions were a mixed bag. I parked my car between two others with people huddled inside eating sandwiches. More on that later. Hypnotized by the swirling smells wafting my way from the demure sandwich shop begged me closer while the somewhat unkempt porch littered with tarps, Rubbermaid tubs overturned and other flotsam and jetsam made me question if VT Sandwich Co. was even open for business. The interior of Vermont Sandwich Co. quickly answered my question«Why are those people eating sandwiches in their car?» The restaurant looks like a heavily traveled, heavily used college town eatery. Things are dark, the restaurant furniture: plastic, the music: 90s-era Ricky Martin(not necessarily a bad thing). If ever a place screamed, «don’t eat your sandwich here!»…well, it would be here. If you do decide to stay(like I did) eat quickly to avoid the constant glances of the staff as you eat. The sandwiches are fun. I ordered the most vegan, «The Cropduster» without cheese. It was just what I wanted, a wrap bursting with veggies with doubly delicious hummus. Flavors mixed fairly well together. Ingredients, however, seem to be really fresh or less so. My pinkish tomatoes were the only veggies that seemed a bit long in the tooth. As I ate my sandwich, foot traffic picked up(with many carry-out orders). Vermont Sandwich Co. has a loyal customer base, so be prepared, because if you aren’t already among them, you’ll certainly feel it during your time there.

The quality of the sandwich was 5 stars. I can only give a 3 star rating because I feel the pricing is quite unfair. I ordered a ½ roast beef sandwich special. The full sandwich on a roll is $ 10.50. I was charged $ 8.75 for a half including tax. I don’t expect to pay $ 5.25 for a half, but be a little more reasonable in the pricing!

Best sandwich shop in the area! Advice: Call you order in ahead of time. There will probably be a wait. Fresh sandwich(yes, a little over priced), but its not like you are eating there everyday. Parking is a little tight, the building isn’t much to look at but don’t let that deter you from grabbing a bite to eat. It can get a little crowded and there aren’t many tables, so you may want to plan on taking you sandwich to go. If you like turkey/bacon and honey mustard with fresh veggies — order the DOCTOR.

Good sandwiches but over priced and expect to stand there for 15 minutes while they make your sandwich. I understand they can be busy but even when they aren’t busy they take forever to make your order.

On a business trip to the area and I was told repeatedly that I had to try this place for lunch. So here’s my review: The place looks like a small old house with a big covered front porch. Not much seating to stay on site for lunch but the staff was very friendly. I ordered the hot and smoke sandwhich that was delicious! Just like everything in VT(I noticed during my trip) is expensive, but the line out the door proved my colleagues point to eat here. If you’re in town this is a great place to get lunch! If I am ever in town again I will for sure stop in again.

We came in after a long drive up from Massachusetts very hungry. I was not thrilled with the fact that the parking lot was a sheet of ice 5 inches thick, but I guess there’s nothing they can do about that? Anyway… I liked the names of their sandwiches and the combos all sounded pretty good. I opted for the«Crop Duster» which is hummus, cheddar and veggies on bread. I thought the bread was great and the hummus was garlicky and flavorful. I also really liked the cozy atmosphere, although there is not a ton of seating.

My first time in this location. I ordered a veggie wrap with garlic mayo, lettuce, tomato, pickle and provolone cheese. I got a tomato wrap. I had also requested it be toasted. The wrap was very tasty. It took a bit longer for me to receive it because of the toasting. The staff was polite enough, and seemed thrown for the toasted request. It’s a small place in there and maybe a bit confusing to know who has/hasn’t ordered. I agree with others, it was a $ 7 wrap that was on the smaller side. Conclusion: decent food, just a bit pricey in my opinion.

Overpriced!!! Small sandwich a 5 year old could make for $ 6 – 7!!! Sodas $ 2.25!!! Not even worth it. Place is small and was super disorganized. The male cashier was slow & very possible under the influence. Never again!

Terrible! I ordered a 6 inch sub. It took 20 minutes to get my sandwich. The person that ordered right in front of me received their sandwich 10 minutes before me. When I approached the counter to inquire where my sandwich was, the woman that took my order looked at me like I had two heads. I asked where my sandiwhch was and why a person that had ordered 5 minutes after me had just received his sandwich. The other person behind the counter said that he had received 3 orders for the same sandwich that I had ordered shortly after mine and decided to make them all at the same time because it was easier for him to do it that way. So instead of making the sandwiches in the order received to minimize wait times, they prefer to make things in the easiest way possible to the employees. When the sandwich finally arrived it had more mayo on it than meat. All I could taste was garlic mayo. It clearly had been made quickly since it was being made with other customer sandwiches simultaneously. I would avoid this shop at all costs. There are so many better sandwich shops in the area and these other shops actually value the customers’ time.

Good sandwiches but it’s quite pricey so it’s not a place I frequent. The quality of the sandwiches is pretty good, though, and you have to love the fact that they slice their meats as they make your sandwich. Great selection of sandwiches as well as ½ sandwich with a soup or potato/pasta salad combinations too. Weird little building with only a few seats and not a great place to stand while you wait. I don’t like eating in because it just feels«used» but on occasion I will eat there.

good pastrami, but they have so many good grinds here. You have to check it out if you are in the area. Also they always have a hearty chilli…
