I saw Dr. Murray… what a jerk!!! He was rude, degrading, insulting, and made me feel like I was the worst pet owner because my indoor only cat was not vaccinated… i had a couple people recommend them to me so my experience is surprising… the rest of the staff was nice and caring, i can’t say anything bad about them… my cat has an abscess on his tooth and this guy wants almost $ 900 to remove it with no «wiggle room» to take out some of the costs/​x-​rays involved… told me to take my cat to Gateway… I cant speak for the other 4 vets here and I was told a manager might be in touch… hopefully they will be because if this is how they treat new clients, i don’t know how they get the business

I absolutely love it here! The staff is wonderful! They’re all super friendly and loving towards me and my Pomeranian pup. He’s a diva so they take the extra care and patience to make sure he is as comfortable as possible.

Dr. Shafer is awesome. We love her for all of our animal care needs. Our dog Maggie has had fantastic care and I would recommend her to anyone.

Dr. Doles is a HERO no doubt about it! I highly recommend him, especially for cats. In December of 2011 our cat, Little Man became suddenly ill. We woke up one morning to find pile of vomit all over the house and Little Man was having spasms. We called several vets. We left a voicemail for Pet Hospital of Willoughby. The receptionist called us back within 20 minutes and said Dr. Doles wanted to see Little Man right away. He said Little Man was experiencing bladder spasms due to crystals built up in his urethra, caused by stress. It made sense because Little Man does have high anxiety. He said our cat needed minor surgery immediately. I asked him if I would be able to make payments? Dr. Doles looked at me and said, «No Charge for the surgery. Just pay for the visit. Merry Christmas!» After the surgery Little Man was fine for a couple weeks then he became ill again with the same thing. We were given Ativan for Little Man to help his anxiety but he is so stubborn and absolutely will not take meds! :-/​Dr. Doles said without meds the crystals will keep forming. He kept Little Man to further evaluate the situation. They could not get him to take the meds either. Dr. Dole called us to tell us that he had one more option to pursue. He said he could perform a surgery to permanently widen Little Man’s urethra, which would allow the crystals to pass and keep him from becoming ill. Dr. Doles told us, «I love your cat and I want to do whatever I can to save him.» The surgery went well. It’s now June of 2014 and Little Man is still with us!!! Dr. Doles saved Little Man’s life with compassion and determination. Little Man is part of our family. Dr. Doles is a true HERO!!!

My family has been taking animals to Pet Hospital of Willoughby since before I was born. The front desk staff is extremely friendly and the various doctors are very friendly and knowledgeable.
Dr. Doles is my doctor of choice for my cats. You can tell that he really cares for animals. Before he even greets me, he greets my cats to try and make them feel a little more at ease. He has worked with me to try and super-​sleuth various issues with my cats. He has provided multiple treatment options, including noninvasive procedures when possible.
A few years back he referred me to a cancer clinic for my very ill cat. Chemotherapy didn’t help my kitty, and when the time came to «do the right thing,» Dr. Doles was so very compassionate and caring. He made that awful experience as painless for me as possible, and even sent a sympathy card to my house afterwards.
Sometimes his follow up phone calls take longer than I’d like, but he seems to always be dealing with an emergency.
If you love your fur babies as much as I do, this is a great place to take your pets. The office itself is no frills, but your animals will get quality care.
