Had our company Christmas here today and everything was amazing. We told them there were a couple of vegetarians in our party when we made our reservations and they were so happy to say they would make any of their dishes over to accommodate us. The food was all delicious and the service fantastic. We are all looking forward to our next visit!

We came here for my mothers birthday and everyone loved it. My grandmother said it was the best lamb she ever had. They were very accommodating for our large group. The service was exceptional. I would definitely go back.

I got take out last night and it still tasted great when I microwaved it for lunch today. Obsessed with the asparagus

My friend and I met there for lunch today and enjoyed a nice meal & attentive service — granted we were the only ones in the restaurant! The food was quite good although a bit pricey for lunchtime fare. It does not appear that a lunch menu is available. We split a grilled Caesar salad and then each ordered a risotto dish and split a dessert. Our bill was $ 80 which included an 18% tip. If they offered a lunch menu I would be inclined to go back but otherwise, this would be a dinner only restaurant choice for me. I wonder if the lack of lunchtime customers is due to this reason?

Unilocal was really accurate on this one! Had the grilled calamari appetizer and the sea bass. Both were excellent and very fresh. Definitely will be back to this neighborhood gem. Highly recommended.

Excellent Italian BYOB. One of the best gnocchi anywhere, including Italy. Other dishes also excellent. Friendly & prompt service.

My wife and I love this place. While not generally a restaurant for children, they have always been super-hospitable to us with our child. The food and service is superb. The bread is always freshly baked and comes with their pesto sauce. The restaurant is never terribly crowded(at least when we’ve been there) which actually makes for a nicer dining experience. We really haven’t found many other restaurants in Willow Grove that are notable.

We had another great experience here. The food was once again well prepared and delicious. The server was very nice and she took good care of us. I had the Linguine alla Pescatore. I was very happy with my choice. Last time the chef wouldn’t make it because he couldn’t get fresh clams that day. It was worth the wait. We are very happy we found this little Italian gem. It is significantly busier on Friday than during the week(as is the case with most restaurants I would assume). However, the meal started a bit slowly and it took a little bit to get our apps. It wasn’t terrible but they seem just a tad busier than they can handle. I would still go here anytime for the food and atmosphere. The servers are so nice I wasn’t mad about waiting.

1st time visit here after reading so many glowing reviews. All in all, we had a good experience. Greeted and seated promptly, service was very good by both waitress and water/bus service. Very good warm bread with a very nice pesto was brought. A great variation. Grilled romaine was large enough to share for 2, and had a great grilled flavor yet was not at all wilted. The dressing was pretty bland for my taste. I would have liked some garlic or more pronounced Parmesan flavor instead of pretty much a mayonnaise flavor. Broccoli rabe was delicious, not at all bitter, a little more garlic would have sent it over the top. I somehow suspect they have tamed down the flavors a tad? So many raved about the meatballs so we had to try them. Very good, but a little too cut with filler. The red sauce however was excellent. Yes, I am pretty particular, and a chef. So many also raved about the chicken Parmesan. It was a hefty serving, very tasty sauce, but have to agree with another poster that the cutlet was pounded very thin and therefore a little less tender than others that I have had. The red sauce once again was great. The side serving of pasta was a thin spaghetti and was good. Other dish was Capellini ragu which is angel hair pasta with a delicious meat sauce(gravy) This was in my opinion the best of the dishes. The sauce had just the right amount of garlic and blend of aromatics for my taste. Granted, I appreciate the bolder flavors. Complimentary limoncello was a very classy touch! Nice place, love the BYOB aspect. The pricing was reasonable. They are clearly trying very hard to make this a superb dining experience. We will definitely return and sample some other menu items.

Had a quiet lunch today with my wife. The sever was very friendly and he stated that all of the sauces were homemade. The entrée portion is just the right size. The desserts are all homemade so I took the tiramisu home. We really enjoyed our first time here and will certainly go back. Please remember to bring a bottle of wine. It will be even better.

My husband and I go here whenever we can! This is an amazing neighborhood gem, that I can’t say enough good things about! We always get the antipasta appetizer and they are always generous with their portion. I have tried several dishes and specials here and everything is fresh and delicious! And best of all, its a BYOB.

Just had our second meal here and will be returning again soon. Our favorites are the calamari, the home made gnocchi, and linguini alla pescatore. I’d recommend getting the gnocchi with a blush sauce instead of the very rich gorgonzola.

We’ve been here four times and had a great meal each time. Great Prices and a BYOB with awesome food. We have had the Steak special as well as several seafood/pasta dishes and they were all great. The service is good as well.

I have dined here at least 5 – 6 times over the past 2 years or so and it has always been a wonderful experience. The food has consistently been delicious, it is a small place with very few tables, so it’s nice and peacefully quiet, you can have a conversation with your dinner companions without shouting. It is BYOB, and tables are dressed in white linen. The staff are always wonderful and we’ve never felt rushed. A tad on the pricey side, portions are adequate, but not likely to walk out with left overs to take home. One of my all time favorite places.

Have been looking for good restaurants near my home, and was delighted to find Bistro Albertino. Went there for lunch yesterday – had a perfect chicken parmesan – pounded well(paillard), fabulous flavor. I asked for extra tomato sauce and was given more than enough(some places are so chintzy). I also asked for roasted potatoes as a side dish instead of pasta and was graciously accommodated. The potatoes were also cooked perfectly. My husband had a panini that he said was good. While the outside is unprepossessing, the inside ambiance is lovely and the owner a truly gracious host. I plan to become a regular.

This is one of my go-to places in the area. It really does fill a unique space, as an Italian BYOB that is not also trying to be a pizza takeout place. My favorite is the Bistecca Albertino, which is sliced steak and pasta with a mushroom cream sauce. My husband loves their goat cheese gnocchi. Their specials are always worth a listen. Their menu is about fresh pasta and non-tomato based sauces. Their ambiance is upscale for the area — no pizza, good wine opening service. I was just disappointed in our visit tonight, since we’ve been going there since they opened. They usually offer a complimentary limencello, which is absolutely delicious. Tonight they were clearly very, very busy and I was happy to see that — I want them to do well. However, the table next to us, who were new, got limoncello. We did not. I don’t know whether that was because they’re limiting that to new customers or just to customers when they are not trying to free up a table. Having said that, we’ll be back, because the food and the ambiance are that good.

We came here on a Saturday evening via the use of a Groupon. The food and service was excellent. The portions were ample. We never felt rushed. This is a hidden gem! I love that it is a BYOB and Italian is my favorite. Looking forward to my next visit, with or without a Groupon.

Excellent place. Very attentive staff and great food. Had the cod fish special which was perfectly cooked and delicious with bacon and mashed potatoes. All desserts are home made and the tiramisu was outstanding. Don’t miss this place for some outstanding Italian food. It’s a BYOB. Fred P

They had a shrimp appetizer special with polenta so we gave that a try. It was ok. Since it is Italian, I picked the pollo Parmesan and my wife had the puttanesca We split an arugula salad. The salad was 8 bucks and it was just lettuce and a couple shavings of Parmesan cheese. Nothing else? Not even a tomato. That was disappointing. But still up until this point we figure it wasn’t that bad. But we were wrong. My chicken Parmesan was so thin it was over cooked and dry it couldn’t be cut with a fork and I tried the butter knife, it was so hard to cut. I tasted it and it was so awful I let the manager know and I was asked if I wanted something else but I decided to have the chef try again. Wong again. When it came out again it looked better but tasted the same. It was not good. The boxed pasta was better tasting. Oh yeah, forgot to mention that they claim to have fresh pasta and tender veal and chicken. Not! I found out after we left that my wife didn’t care for her meal also but since I already sent mine back, she decided to keep that to herself. Anyway we will not be back. I can only assume that anyone that left a good review must have brought their own wine or liquor. I mean you must have to be drunk to think this place has great food because our experience was not even close to being average. Wife’s pasta puttanesca was just boxed pasta with olives and anchovies and she thought it had enough sauce for four times the amount of pasta so there was way too much sauce and not even close to enough pasta. Chick parm is my favorite and I make it with the kids all the time. It’s a shame that this place advertises one thing but delivers another. We left hungry.
