I am a Cosi fan and was pleased to find one in Horsham. Unfortunately, my first visit will probably be my last. The bread on my sandwich was hard as a rock and dry. I wouldn’t be surprised if they use old, stale bread. This is not the Cosi that I know where they make fresh bread everyday.

A good place to grab a salad, soup or sandwich. We eat for two for about $ 20! Their signature salad is great! Fast service and generally very clean. All the Cosi’s have the same menu, so it’s easy to select your favorite meal. Particularly like their Tomato Soup, too! The Manager at the Willow Grove Cosi is exceptional. Always willing to please and take care of the customer.

I love Cosi. But tonight while I was waiting for my food, somehow the conversation behind the counter turned to showering. The boy who took my order was going on and on about how he only takes maybe 1 or 2 showers a week. Best part… the manager was part of this conversation. The other customers and I were looking back and forth a little stunned that they were discussing this in front if us while handling our food. Luckily the unshowering dirt was only working the register. Hope he atleast washes his hands.

What can I say — I love Cosi. When I lived in Cincinnati, there weren’t any local Cosi stores — I would go out of my way when passing through Lexington or Columbus to stop at one. Now that I’m just a few minutes away, it isn’t such a treat, but I still love two particular menu items here. Plus the bread … so chewy, with that salt on top … I could die in carbohydrate heaven. My standbys are the TBM Melt — tomato, mozzarella, and basil, plus some kind of addictive sun-dried tomato pesto, and the Signature Salad — greens, dried cranberries, pistachios, pears, grapes, and Gorgonzola. How many high-dollar restaurant salads are some kind of a spin off of the Cosi Salad? This particular store is always prompt and clean. Sadly, I can’t say the same for every location. I’m very happy to be near the Willow Grove/Horsham Cosi.

Hummus and veggie sandwich? Really?!? We had to send in a search party to find the hummus.

First time at Cosi and I must say it was good but not what expacted. I had a Roasted Veggie Sandwich, which was very good! The Spread on it was great but some of the veggies seemed raw not roasted. I also had a small Ceasar Salad but it was average, nothing to write home about. The atmosphere is good, it seemed clean and the cashier was friendly. Overall it is good but nothing I would crave or go out of my way for.

I had an awful Cosi experience in the city. So awful the whole meal was taken off of my credit card by the very nice manager. So I was a little apprehensive to return. I’m SO glad I did! I had the same thing as last time, the Steak Gorgonzola Melt(with no onions). Ohmygod. The steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare and SO tender. And they didn’t skimp at all! There was meat across the whole surface area, no corners with just bread and gorgonzola. The gorgonzola sauce was rich and melty and the flatbread??? Crunchy on the outside, soft and chewy inside. Perfection. We watched an employee making the bread so clearly it was fresh. AND they didn’t put onions on my sandwich(that was just a small part of the infamous Center City Cosi experience). Delicious. It was served with my choice of Cosi chips or carrot sticks. I got the chips which were really potato-y and crunchy. I only had a couple, the sandwich filled me up. Despite being kind of full, I HAD to try the smores. I wanted to try them last time but, because of the aforementioned experience, I just wanted to get the hell out of there as fast as possible. I ordered the smores for two. Best $ 8 ever spent. We got eight marshmallows, four graham crackers and one Hershey bar. We each got two traditional smores plus a couple plain ol’ melty marshmallows. Yum! I will definitely go back. Cheap and quick but made to order and delicious. A great weeknight haunt.

I was ecstastic when they opened one up in the burbs. Now, I didn’t have to fight for parking and traffic to get to one. However, a Cosi in the city and a Cosi in the burbs have 2 very different feels. The ambiance gets lost in the burbs. What you are left with are teenagers and maybe one lingering supervisor nearby — who are ready to take your order. You won’t ever find this place overcrowded or packed — which is alright with me — but then again, each time, I’ve come here has been in the middle of the day. I really don’t think there is anything I don’t or would not get from the menu except maybe their sparse selection of sweets. What’s the bomb at Cosi is their bread period. That is why I go back. Their chicken salad is good too. I would give this place a 5 if it had that warm Cosi ambiance that is so alive in the city. This location seems more catered to the soccer moms and surbanbanites. But again, I’m not complaining. This location is far bigger than the ones found in the city. This location — you order, seat yourself, eat, and get out. That’s the process here. Photos to come.
