I had an incredibly large, bulky and heavy TV that I’ve been wanting to get rid of for months. It was too heavy for me to lift and I had a difficult time finding anyone to take it much less to pick it up. I found 1−800-GOT-JUNK? from the Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce and not only did you come and remove that nasty thing from my basement, you took a bunch of other heavy junk and electronics I’ve been wanting to get rid of too but were too heavy for me to move… and for an incredibly reasonable price. The guys were super polite, clean, and careful… and they were in and out in about 10 minutes. I also love that you recycle and donate.

The two young facilitators were courteous and efficient and worked to help me get the most out of the experience. What I appreciated the best was that I wasn’t rushed. They opened each box removed from my storage locker to allow me to decide to keep or purge. For those reasons, I have already recommended this service to at least two friends so far.

We had a large, old tv, a huge sofa sleeper and a disassembled pool table collecting spiders in the basement. We first got estimates and read reviews on 4 different haulers. 1800GOTJUNK was competitively priced and had the best reviews. We scheduled a pick up online, they called ½ hour before pick up, arrived on time, confirmed the bid price, loaded the junk in their truck, swept up and were off in less than 30 minutes. Super! Seriously, what more could you ask for? Fair price, fast, courteous service and a coupon for our next removal. You bet we’ll use them again.

Never showed. Poor communication. Left me stranded on moving day. Would not trust again for junk removal if you are on a time line

The two men who came who very professional and friendly. They came in, gave the estimate, and all the stuff was gone! We had a huge lazy boy sofa bed (HEAVY!) and it just wasn’t worth it to us to have professionally cleaned to keep. The price was a bit more than I thought it’d be, but it was totally worth it to know that the couch would be recycled and the wood from the old weird bookcase built by our house’s former owner would be recycled. We’ll definitely use them again if needed!

We had a choice of ordering a dumpster and removing everything ourselves or having 1−800-Got-Junk do it. The cost would have been the same. The big difference is they did all the lifting, carrying, and could not have been nicer.
Matt & Eric were strong, professional, polite, and very thoughtful. They were able to take all of our old furniture and junk and load up their truck with no problems. They arrived on time and made the job look easy.

We needed to get rid of a large entertainment center — the kind no one wants anymore. The guys who came gave me an immediate price, broke it up, and had it out of my basement in 15 minutes total. They were professional and personable. It cost $ 157, but after you get over the idea that some charity should have been able to use it you’re so happy it’s done. I think it’s a great company.

I have been using their services for years now. After a recent move to Schaumburg, I booked these guys online and they came within hours. I was pleased to read (on their website) that they manage to divert a whopping 90+% of their collections from landfills and place them in the care of recycling or charitable donations. This was a huge plus for me. FYI, the Salvation Army came by and looked my furniture and said that they could not take it. I was puzzled at this as the dining room chairs were in nearly perfect condition with the exception of mild food stains (really small ones at that) on the fabric. Since SA wouldn’t take then, I called these guys and boom, off they went. I set the furniture outside and via phone, confirmed their removal and made payment. How simple was that? One downside: the minimum charge for this convenience is $ 120. Prepare yourself mentally for that. Overall, I am very pleased. The next time I use these guys, I am going to make sure that the haul is monstrous so that I get my $$$$‘s worth. Great service. Driver easy to get a hold of. Payment over the phone worked well. Minimalist living is on the upswing. Ciao.

I needed to rid myself of my family room furniture as I had bought new furniture. I gave them a call and they were able to schedule within two days.
My couch was huge and had a sleeper, but that was no problem and neither was the rest of my stuff! They removed the furniture in no time and also took some other things I had in the garage. They charge according to how much room your stuff takes up in their truck. I was very pleased by the charge.

If you use this company, PLEASE be careful, based on my experience. The guys could not
have been nicer; but I realized after they were gone that the antique, solid wood table I had set off
to the side had been taken away.
The next morning I called the national office to see what I could do, and they told me to call the local office. I called and called and called and called for 3 days and left messages. (I was more than willing to dig through the trash if need be.) But they NEVER ANSWERED THE PHONE and
NEVER ACKNOWLEDGED my voice mails.
When I called the national office again and they were able to get through to the local office, the
locals said it was too late.
I’ve never written a Unilocal review before; but my heart is heavy, and I don’t want others to go through an experience like this. I know a childhood table is just an object; but it was my childhood table and I want it for my grandchildren.

Called got Junk to get rid of all the «stuff» around our outside shed. They arrived on time, were polite, pleasant and hard working. I had a lot of glass block, old wood and fencing material and they cleared it away quickly and made sure the area was clear. Looking forward to having them back and attacking the garage..

Have been listening to their ads on the radio for a while and finally decided to give them a try to remove an old above ground swimming pool. What a great company to do business with. The online ordering process is very easy, I received a confirming email, a phone call the day before and another phone call in the morning before they arrived. The guys were extremely friendly and worked quickly. Just like the ads say: in the blink of an eye, your stuff is gone! Received an estimate from them for removing a chest freezer in our basement and will definitely be using them again.

This company is great. They called and arrived at the time they said they would. They were polite, efficient, took care not to hit walls, etc. I would highly recommend them if you have a lot of stuff you can’t sell and need to get rid of it.

Chris and Tony arrived on time, spotless, and ready to work. I had a huge pit couch, including sleeper section, a big tube TV, a table and some miscellaneous junk in the attic, garage and basement. They quoted a fair price and went to work. Within an hour they were done and I was happy. :) The price is based on how much truck your stuff takes up. Well worth every penny if you have «stuff» you’d sooner see gone. Would absolutely recommend this service. Do it. You will be very glad you did!

As of today, I have used the GOT JUNK service twice. The first was for removal of construction debris from my house and the second was to clean out my father in law’s house. Both times the crew that showed up consisted of 2 men that worked their butts off! They were professional, polite and left the spaces clean after the job was completed. The pricing was well worth all the work they did. They charge you higher for construction debris only because they have to take it to a transfer station to be disposed of. I would use this service again!
