I ordered the chicken wrap on the recommendation of the waitress. I waited 15 – 20 minutes for the order but let me tell you it was worth the wait! It tasted awesome! Large portion with lots of favor & veggies. Choice of different sauces to pick from, I got the spicy hot sauce so good! Liked the comment on the top of the«to go» box«Enjoy :)» and i did.

So I am from southern Cali, the Los Angeles area, came out to thunderhill raceway park for a weekend drifting class. I was here on my last day, Sunday night, and after class today I went back to my motel room and fell asleep. I woke up about 10:45pm and was hungry as hell. I Unilocaled some places and I saw The Last Stand was still open till midnight and so when I went about 11pm, they were closed. I was not happy… it would be convenient for restaurants to display their actual opening and closing times. I was really excited to try the food here and had a major craving for some mozzarella sticks. This is not my first time that I have gone to a restaurant and they were closed when the hours on Unilocal said they were still open for another hour.

Driving through on our way back from the city and found this place on Unilocal!Awesome burgers and staff! Also if you come on a Monday during the winter, the chef makes an amazing jumblaya ! We took some home for dinner later. Pet friendly outside too!

I’d give it 2 and a half stars if I could. So I think the main thing which bugs me about this place is that they use frozen burger patties. They had that bland, spongy, freezer taste and texture. This is unacceptable for a place known for their burgers. I hope the owners can reconsider this and use fresh ground beef(and a little salt and pepper) because that makes a world of difference. The place would be GREAT if they did that.

This is a great place to stop and grab a bite to eat if you are on Hwy 5 near Willows, CA. There is a small parking lot for customers. The open bar and standing area was pretty cool to see. There are also tables and chairs inside the restaurant. It was a cold day, so we chose to sit inside. Due to the open bar area, it was extremely cold inside, too. I had to wear my jacket to stay warm. Looking at the menu, I ordered chili fries, but chose tator tots instead. My husband went with the bacon cheeseburger. Fries are not included with the burgers, so you have to pay an additional amount just for fries. My husband went with curly fries. About 10 minutes, our food came out. The portion size is huge! I was only able to eat about half my chili tots. The chili was delicious! My husband really enjoyed his burger and curly fries. Overall, prices are very reasonable here! I believe almost everything is under $ 10. Service was really good, too. I’d highly recommend The Last Stand.

It seems that this is one of the only open businesses in this town every time we drive through. Standard burger/sandwich stand menu with above average food. The tuna melt was better than expected and the local«scene» is interesting to watch. The food always takes a little longer than it should, but I don’t think the locals are in much of a hurry. Diesel loves the sourdough bread corners on the melt which are perfectly grilled.

Not bad for middle of no where road trip food! Probably the best in terms of location and avoiding a drive thru! We ordered a sandwich(BLT), bowl of chili and a salad. The salad and veg on the BLT was very crisp and fresh and the chili was definitely home made. Service was fine, prices were reasonable. We didn’t see the inside so I cannot really comment on that but the space outside was nice, Lucky for us it was a nice enough day to sit and get some sun. I would come back if ever on a road trip in the area.

Awesome little local hangout. Fun music, really good food, and server that seemed to know all the regulars. It was our first time there, had grilled dogs, fries and house salad and it was all really good! Love old throwbacks like this place.

The Last Stand appears to be a modest burger joint, however, those who venture inside and try the food discover that this is a very special place. The décor inside(including a pool table and jukebox) makes this a fun place, and the service is friendly, just superb! The servings are generous and the prices are reasonable. They have some innovative menu items and burgers here as well. I tried their Linguica Burger and was blown away by how tasty it was, but it’s sad to know that I’ll likely not get to have another burger like this one until I pass through this area again… someday. I can state, with confidence, that it was positively the best burger I’ve ever had. The Last Stand is a real find among all the various eateries along northern California’s I-5. If you find yourself here and don’t know what to order, have a LInguica Burger on my behalf!

Didn’t get to eat here because the kitchen was closed. It was 6:00 pm on a Saturday night. How does that happen? Wonderful, kind, helpful people behind the bar gave suggestions regarding where else an out of towner could go for a quick bite. What we saw: A stand up bar, a few tables with locals enjoying beverages and each others company. Music was rocking out. It was an older crowd of happy, harmless, hard working locals having a nice time. Sad we didn’t get to join in.

Best way to know where to eat is where the parking lots are always full. This is probably the best place to eat in willows. I Had the bacon cheeseburger, and the homemade delicious potato salad, all of which was amazing. Friendly locals, friendly employees, good prices, beer options, dog friendly out door patio with a water bucket for the dogs. Definitely going to be my new stopping place when traveling through.

Driving south on 5 and didn’t want to eat at fast food. Read great Unilocal reviews and stopped by. May be a mile or so more than the fast food options right off the highway but this place is so good! There’s an indoor dining room with table service and a standing bar outside. Since we had our dog with us, we settled at a table outside on the patio. We didn’t have the waitress but that was fine with us. We ordered at the bar and she called us over when the food was ready. We ordered the following: tuna melt, hamburger, double bacon cheeseburger, and fried cod sandwich. We also had steak fries and onion rings. The order of fries was large enough for 2 adults and 2 children to share. The cod sandwich was delicious. Fried perfectly and a thin slice of tomato, lettuce and pickles. The condiments are on the table in a beer six pack box. I like it when restaurants do this because I can put what I want on it. I would definitely come back here when in the area!

Great food! Nice people! There are a lot of Mosquitos that come out in the evening timeframe so bring bug spray but if you do t have some you can ask the bar they were so great to lend us some since we forgot ours. I ordered onion rings and a burger with Portuguese sausage and fries(it was their special of the day and it was delicious!)

If you’re on a road trip on I5 and are lamenting that In and Out is too far behind you, stopping here will remind you that before In N Out the best burgers and fries were at local places like this. Generously sized and incredibly tasty burgers, curly fries and tater tots that are every bit as awesome as the other reviewers have said, six different sauces as accompaniments, all for maybe 10 $ a person. They make up for not having shakes and only offering soda in cans with a hefty dose of atmosphere and colorful but friendly locals. If we ever do this same road trip again, stopping here will be mandatory for whoever I’m in the car with.

What an awesome local burger and beer hang out. Service was friendly and the locals were even friendlier! This is a must stop. I had the double cheeseburger and she had the chilli cheese dog. Both were amazing.

This place is legit. Where else can you get a fresh burger, curly fries and a salad; while playing dice with the locals in the middle of where am I? No where!

I love reading all of the reviews about«The Stand»! It’s truly a local gem in Willows. If your ever traveling on I5 and happen to be in the area, you have to stop in here. Where else can you enjoy an ice cold beer OUTSIDE at a patio bar? They have great burgers and always a special on the menu… you gotta check it out. The locals are friendly and inviting. They’ll even invite you to play dice for a round of beer. **Big tip… not on the menu, but ask for a bacon wrapped hot dog with tator tots… my favorite! Great beers on tap, bottles, cans, any way you like your beer, as well as something by Sierra Nevada.

This place has good food! Our party of four all enjoyed our food. Service was friendly and efficient. The only bobble to complain about was that I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and they forgot my bacon. They did fix the check when I mentioned it. Prices were reasonable. Their bacon was really good, my friend ordered a sandwich that had too much for her, so she was kind enough to share some. The place is semi ‘open air’ so it is warm even if you sit in the diner. Parking is nearly non-existent, we had to park up the street. Next time I’m back in Willows I will be eating here again!
