Don’t order on-line. We ordered sandwich tray for a luncheon we were having. Received confirmation email that it would be ready and a receipt that we paid for it. Upon arrival at the allotted time the manager claimed they never received the order and that it was not paid for. Luckily I printed my email confirmation and showed it to them. Now I have to wait while they make it. If I were not having people at home waiting to eat I would have demanded refund and left. Now I am stuck waiting for them to make the tray. Lesson learned.

Love this location! Very clean with excellent customer service and great food. We go here all the time. All the employees are wonderful, but there’s one who stands out. Thank you Edwin for being so helpful and kind.

Had a quick bite to eat here late tonight, food was good I got the new grilled flats, one BBQ pork and one Chicken Caesar. Both delicious. Service was friendly but I did feel like for the food I got it took a long time to come out to my table? Maybe the pork needed a longer cooking time which I would understand. I do love that if you’re dining in they’ll bring the food right to you. Just put your number up on the table stand. Overall I liked it here, I’ve been to one other Corner Bakery before and the service was faster but it was in a mall so I liked that there were more places to sit here.

A number of tables were a mess when we sat down and we could not find a clean table. The waiter brought my eight year old daughter soup, when she looked at the spoon he gave her it was full of old food. I looked at my fork and noticed it was dirty. We then asked for new silverware and that silverware was dirty.

A simple tuna sandwich took forever. I was about to leave. I don’t know what took so long. It was not warmed. Just a plain tuna sandwich. It is surprising to me because it’s usually quick on the menu. It was ok if you have the time. Other than that blah.

Their site day that they deliver, NO they don’t deliver unless the order is over $ 50. Wanted something different besides pizza and sandwiches, guess never find out if that location is any good.

This is probably the nicest Corner Bakery I’ve ever been in! The fireplace is a beautiful and comfortable addition to the ambiance. My food was out to me quickly and the service was very friendly. One of the better paninis I’ve eaten at a CB!

food is okay — service is slow and questionable. lack of comprehension of what was ordered.

Decreased portion size and changed recipe of the chopped salad, basically ruining their signature dish. Noticed the smaller container of salad for the same price as before. The trio salad was laughably tiny. Staff is friendly but this must be a management decision. Why mess with a good thing, Corner Bakery? Cut costs some other way … Don’t mess with the food.

Ordered mac and cheese, an easy dish — but it took forever. The wait was way too long! It was good when it finally came, but the taste and service was not worth the price at this location.

I really love Corner Bakery, I love their soup-and-sandwich or salad-and-sandwich combos. This last time, I went for the California Grille panini which is basically a grilled cheese with loads of goodies inside. It’s no bland vegetarian food, that’s for sure… It has tons of flavor and just enough oil to make it feel like a treat. But you’re still getting your veggies! This location has a really cute fireplace you can sit near while you enjoy your lunch, too. Extra bonus points for the fresh lemons to put in your soda! One thing that other franchises do that I appreciate is to offer carrots instead of chips, but this one didn’t do that. Otherwise, no complaints!

I am reviewing this regarding takeout only. The workers seem to rush and do not pay attention regarding takeout orders. The last 5 times in the last 2 months, we have gone in to take out, the orders were either missing an item or incorrect. There were days where it did not seem to be busy but yet the orders were still wrong. After the 1st two times of going all the way home from Corner Bakery, finding out something was missing or order was incorrect, we started to check our takeout bags BEFORE leaving Corner Bakery. The last 3 times, the order was incorrect(i.e. ordered a combo half sandwich/soup and received a whole sandwich without soup or ordered the chopped salad with extra dressing and received no dressing at all, etc). I was going to complain to the Manager this past weekend(the 5th time) but had to run back home. Will probably mention this the next time I am there. If you go in to take out, be sure to check your order first before leaving.

Food is reliably good. Service can be a little hit or miss, especially during busy times.

Gave it 2 stars only because of the few times I’ve been here, it has been decent… HOWEVER, today was a rather interesting ordeal. At 3pm was greeted by Elday at the register who was very nice and got my order in immediately seeing that I was the only person in line. It was a TOGO order. About 15 minutes later, I get up from the seating area and see that my Club Panini is sitting out on the counter while someone in a red shirt(I believe he may have been a manager) was talking to Lorenza(or something similar to that) casually. I interrupt by saying excuse me and ask them if my order was ready and then the gentleman closes the lid the box and bags the rest of my food. Normally, I’d understand if it was a few minutes, but I got to my car and my panini was already cold… The absolute worst part was when they realized that I knew my order had been ready and they were distracted, neither of them apologized for the delay. Being someone who works in the service industry, I was rather embarrassed by their inability to at least offer kind words of remorse for the delay. Positive: The cup of Big Al’s chili was good.

Went to this Corner Bakery other day with my son. He had the pablano corn chowder in a bread bowl. He was disappointed. Too much bread and not enough chowder. He much prefers the other sandwich chain, not to mention names but their’s begins with a P.(He loves their bread bowl.) I had the half soup and half panini combo. I love the pablano corn chowder and it didn’t disappoint. For the panini, I chose the California Grille, a very nice vegetarian option. What was really nice about this particular location was the double sided fireplace. It was an unseasonably cold, rainy day so they went ahead an put the fireplace on. We had seats right next to it and it made us feel all warm and cozy, which was nice considering how sopping wet we got walking over from Carson Pirie Scott. The personnel here, are also super friendly.

Had a Panini & coffee at the Corner Bakery Edens Plaza and the Panini was not very good, kind of greasy and bland. I thought their coffee was terrible, I should have ordered tea! The restaurant is clean and friendly though!

Food: typical Corner bakery. I highly recommend their chicken salad sandwich. mmm. Atmosphere: lots of elderly(read: 65+) people when I went there for lunch. but it’s warm and cozy. a tiny bit crowded, and a little hard to find seating, but what wins is the couches by the fireplace. yes, FIREPLACE. love it. plus, free wi-fi! good feature to have while waiting for friends to come.

Welcome to Unilocal,Wilmette Corner Bakery. Sorry that this has to be your first review. But you happen to lie along my path home. Big thanks to Victoria H. who alerted me that Corner Bakery now sells whoopie pies. I tried not to get my hopes up, but I was very excited to try them. Well, they fell flat on their faces. You could taste the chain-store in these things. Yuck. They actually got the icing consistency close to correct, but the chemical taste was a bit too strong. And the cake part was wrong, wrong, wrong. It was as thin as a cookie but still soft and light, just a shade denser than birthday cake. And curiously bland. The whole package was a gigantic disappointment. It’s just no good when you can taste the corporation in a piece of food. Two other notes: 1. These things come in a little wax-paper sleeve, but they still placed it in a big plastic container(about 8x the volume of the whoopie pie) and then tried to bag it! Please, I don’t need a bag or probably even the plastic container! WEHAVETOOMUCHGODDAMNPACKAGINGINTHISCOUNTRY. 2. The girl who helped me was cute and funny. Hopefully she didn’t laugh to her friends behind my back about my whoopie-pie enthusiasm.
