Great manicurists that give reliable, high quality and relaxing manicures and pedicures. I’m a local, and I have decades of weekly manicure experience, and I think this place is fantastic.

This is by far the best nail salon in all of Evanston and Wilmette area. The service is fantastic! I have been going to a nail salon on Clark and had no idea what I was missing. First of all, everyone is genuinely friendly here and they really bond with their customers. I have not had my nails look so good in a long time. Best thing is that they really take care of under your feet and it feels like new feet! Got rid of all my dead skin. Amaze balls. AND they remember to put skin oil on your legs and feet unlike other salons that leave your feet ashy looking. Also the hand and foot massage (free with your pedi mani) is soo good! Not some half hearted massage. This is now my número uno salon!!! Where have I been???

The owner, Mindy, is so personable and so are all the women that work there.

I got a no chip today from Mindy, she did a really really great job. My nails look flawless, I’m so happy with them. I live in the city and was visiting family in wilmette, but I think I’ll have to come here for my next mani.

When I got tired of my former nail technician’s crankiness, I started the process of finding a replacement in the area. I judged the competency of a nail technician if they can cut all my dry cuticles clean and scrubbed-​smooth my calloused dry feet. I consider it a jackpot if they can apply the nail polish smooth without bubbling or missing the side of my nails. I admit I am a picky and discriminating mani/​pedi enthusiast, always expecting perfection when it comes to my nails! I searched high and low in the area — nails spas along Ridge Ave., Skokie Blvd. and even the pricier salons downtown Wilmette but alas, it was a futile effort for awhile.
Then I saw this place on Unilocal,with just less than 10 reviews but all of them positive. I thought why not? So I made the call. The first thing I said when I made the appointment was, «can you please give me a technician that is very good, I have very dry and thick cuticles and I want them all out». The response I got from now I know to be Mindy (I believe she is the owner), «they are all good here». I thought to myself — yeah, uh huh, that’s what they all say, let’s see about that.
So I went. And boy oh boy the nail technician who did my nails was absurdly outstanding; I gave him a $ 20 tip! My feet were singing Bach’s Gloria in Excelsis Deo as I walked out of this place that day. I’ve been back here many times and have had different technicians do my nails. While they are not all created equal, I can truly say they are all good. Mindy was right when she said «they are all good here». All technicians have a good level of thoroughness when «de-​cuticling» my nails. They scrubbed my feet vigorously. And the feet massage? The best I’ve had in my lifetime at any nail spas I’ve been to. Seriously! The ambiance of this place is light. It’s clean. It’s happy. Their price point is not cheap but certainly reasonable.
Beware, they are always busy. I think those in the know in Wilmette come here. It is best to make an appointment. You gamble your free time if you do a walk-​in.

The only reason this review is not five stars is because the interior is not at all deluxe. This is my go to place for manicures and pedicures (which I get monthly) for 3 reasons. First, it is reasonably priced. Second, I can always get a same day appointment. And third the leg and foot massages they give with every pedi are awesome! This place is not fancy, but if you don’t care about fancy, you will love this place!

The pedicures are wonderful with long foot massages. Great value and friendly staff. The owner Mindy runs a great business.

Vanity Nails is the only place I go to. The staff is competent and gives great manicures and pedicures. The salon is run by Mindy, who is smart and talented. It’s a fun, social place with friendly clientele as well. I just wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Great pedicure, friendly staff and a small 4 seat back room for a small pedi party. I took my husband with me last time and he loved it too! And I’m glad — cause I’m not gonna touch his feet. Ever.

Wow! The 5 star reviews here are spot on. This place doesn’t look like much but the manicures are great and the pedicures heavenly. My legs and feet were massaged for over 15 minutes before being perfectly polished. Don’t expect to get in and out-​this is a place that takes their time and doesn’t rush.

This is pretty much a go to location for a private spa party. This time around, we had 14 of us and they were able to accommodate all of us within 2.5 hours with 6 chairs constantly being filled. The other room was set up for us to eat/​drink and customer service was really great.
We closed down this place and I appreciate that we were able to pay at the end of the event and not just after our services. Looking forward to next year’s mommy spa party here!

Love love love this place! It is clean, the staff are friendly, and they definitely know their stuff. My mani and pedi were done with precision and my hands and feet look and feel great. Probably the best hand/​arm massage and feet/​leg massages I have ever had! I’ve been to a lot of nail salons where they do the requisite 10 second massage but Vanity really spends time massaging away — wow! I absolutely love reflexology and for a mani pedi –it’s like getting a free one thrown in. Not sure what the negative review is about from some chick all the way from Elmwood park? Sounds a bit suspect not to mention xenophobic. I’m sure she’s googling that word now.
Anyway go to Vanity you can thank me later!

Vanity Nails is the best place to go in the Northern Suburbs for manicures/​pedicures.
Mindy and her staff are inviting, friendly, thorough, and dedicated. I have never had a bad experience here – I’ve been getting my nails done here since 2006, though I don’t live in the area anymore. I always make sure to come in when I’m in town visiting family.
The quality and endurance of manicure/​pedicures here is incredible! I have never had a longer lasting manicure… until I tried gel. The pedicure is by far the best as the massage lasts forever – such a treat.
The prices are quite reasonable, especially considering the high prices of other salons in the area.

Probably the best and cheapest manicure, pedicure and waxing services! I have never had a bad experience here and all the ladies are wonderful! The salon is professional, clean and well-​kept. They also just expanded into the space next door!
Even when I have smudged my own nails in the salon they have fixed it, no charge!
I will continue to go here as long as they will have me!

What a treat I gave myself today!
I am still a novice when it comes to regular pedicures, but this was my favorite one I’ve had so far. You sit in a nice chair that massages your back while the lady does her thing. Before she puts the polish on she gives a very very relaxing foot and leg massage. It lasted a while, much longer than my previous experiences. It nearly put me asleep and I still feel wonderful.
The prices are pretty standard for the area-​$ 28 for a pedi and $ 38 for the pedi, manicure combo. Since I work a lot with my hands and nails, I don’t see the need to get a manicure anytime soon, but it’s summer and I want my feet to shine.
Since it’s only a block away from my home, I will definitely be back. I’ve heard of places that are cheaper but are a drive from me but I rather pay the little bit more just to feel that good.
