This August, I purchased a Honda Civic, with only one problem… I went from a truck that looked blacked out when I bought it, to a car that felt like I was in a fishbowl where everyone could see even my most intimate thoughts. Worse yet, the car was so bright inside. All I could think about is how many times a month I would have to armor-all the dash to keep it from fading and cracking a few years down the line. Being from Wilmington, I had cars tinted previously at most of the local shops. I was never really happy about the results, but was never dissatisfied either except for one time when I decided to put limo tint on my car and even though I followed the care and curd instructions, it peeled. Now that I’ve grown up, I wanted something that looked tight, but was legal. After all, I didn’t want the hassle of my annual inspection being side-showed. I spent a week or two calling around and visiting shops to get prices. Either the price was too low and the tint did not have a lifetime warranty, or the price was too high, and the sticker shock kept me from asking about the warranty! My brother recommended I call and talk to A-1 Tint Pros, so I called, hot a very reasonable price and shocker… The tint had a lifetime warranty on the film that includes labor. Now is heard of Scotch 3M film because that’s what had peeled off of a previous car, but I had never heard of SunTek(Sun Tek ?) As a professional and gainfully employed technologist, I dug in for a night of online research. The night became days because I wanted to be certain I was getting a good solid product. The SunTek TEC and carbon fiber film was apparently one of the hottest, albeit newest films on the market. Sales have passed most of the films available on the market, and car after car I found online looked incredible with very happy owners and super positive reviews! I made an appointment and was shocked when the owner told me it would only take a couple of hours. I cancelled the rental car, dropped the car off and 3 hours later was pulling out of A1 tinting(tint) pros, excessively happy, and extremely satisfied. The owner, me Steven Hayes was extremely knowledgable and reassured me over and over pod be pleased, or he’d refund my money!(Seriously? I haven’t heard that anywhere locally lately except from my local burger spot, PT’s grill) mr. Hayes not only reassured me his tint job would not peel fade or crack, he showed me a brand new 700 series BMW he’d just finished from a local dealership(Schaefer BMW) and it looked incredible. Ok, I was reassured. I mean, I’d a dealership was dropping off a car worth 90 grand, then my little $ 20k Honda should be just fine… And it was. Steven did an incredible job, in a short amount of time, at a very, very, reasonable price. I’m actually back at his shop today dropping off a buddy who works over near me at WRAR, looking at him smiling ear to ear ecstatic about his truck that Steven just tinted, and it foes look incredible! Steven, THEA1 tint pro is located at 5215 Market St directly across the street from the Market St(Sigmond Rd) Wal Mart, AutoZone. Coastal Auto Parts is on one side of him, and Weckel Chiropractic/International Media Press & Extra Attic Storage on the other side(left if you are facing away from Wal-mart towards the car and residential & commercial tinting car shop. He told me of a few local business buildings he’s recently tinted so with curiosity I went to a couple of places to see the work. When I went by Jade Monkey Tattoo studio and saw the custom work I was amazed, and happy to learn he’s doing the new design(Window tint design) which I’m kind of excited to see when it’s done, because Steven’s work is just that good. It’s perfect, and here I am after the summer heat, and am more satisfied with his work than I’ve been with any other work, ever! For your home, business, commercial property, office space, car, truck or moped, Yvette is not a single company or person in the Southeast who I could or would recommend more to do the work than a-1 tint pros of Wilmington NC !
