Candles Etc

The Old Wilmington Candle Company smells heavenly from the moment you walk through the door! They have several scents to choose from, and they all smell amazing. What’s really great about the scents is that they ate very gentle smelling, they aren’t overwhelming at all. They’re soy candles, so they burn for longer-you’ll get more value out of these candles than your typical scented store candle. The store owner if very friendly and down to earth, and makes all the candles herself. She is gifted! Don’t pass this place up next time you’re in town!

This place is literally a candle heaven if there can be such a location. I have never experienced the aroma and pure essence of relaxation as I did when I started making my rounds through Crandles Etc and smelling the different products that they have to offer. The scents are luxurious and unique as names are original, which are just as much fun to read as the different fragrances are to smell. I felt transported every time I smelled a candle — I felt like I was lifted to a lush cloud with just the scents of that divine aroma, it was intoxicating and a kind of nirvana if you believe a candle can do that. Needless to say I walked out with a few favorites. I bought «Old North State,» «Wilmington Rain,» and «Exotic Lands» and have used them since I left Candles Etc and all three have not disappointed. I loved that all the candles are handmade at the store (what a cool job!). And they are created with soy and are eco-​friendly. If you are in Wilmington, I highly, HIGHLY recommend this shop, it’s a gem of a candle store!
