My BFF and I ordered take-out on New Year’s Eve. This was my first visit here. She insisted on ordering from here because their dishes were actually spicy — most Chinese restaurants around here will say something is spicy but it’s inevitably sweet or bland. We got the Szechuan spicy fried rice, tofu, scallops and vegetarian spring rolls. She is a vegetarian and insisted that the Szechuan fried rice did not contain meat. Surprise. Our friend rice had chicken,(cheap) shrimp, bbq pork, and what appeared to be ham. She obviously couldn’t eat it and I didn’t find it spicy at all. She was pissed and ate tofu and spring rolls. The scallops were fine but small and cheap — definitely not local. Personally I won’t be going back. There are alternatives in the area, down the street actually, that use higher quality ingredients and can get your order right.

I go here all the time for lunch. Its very very nice. Its great for your standard chinese food perfect for a lunch time getaway. The prices are average and the food is exactly what you would expect. Clean place good food 5 stars!

The food is not the best Chinese food you’ve ever had but it’s very consistent. Good portions for the price and the employees are incredibly nice and a big reason i love it there

We tried this place for the first time last night and I was pleasantly surprised how good it was. We had crab Rangoon, General Gau house delight, lo mein and chicken with broccoli. The portions were large and there should have been leftovers but my husband decided to finish most of it. We will most likely order from here and get delivery.

Ordered for delivery, the guy on the phone wouldn’t listen to what I was trying to order, ended up with the complete wrong order, plus we didn’t get rice to go with wrong order. Never again will I order from here.

this place is a gem in Wilmington. I used to always get their spicy lo-mein for quick dinners but lately ive been trying more of their dishes and im yet to find something to complain about. their rice seems to be made to order in everydish. their fried items(rangoons, eggrolls, etc) always seem fried to perfection with the nicest golden color. their portions are VERYgenerous and their prices are VERY fair. everything is packed very neatly which lets me see these people take pride on the food theyre serving you. I would recommend this place to anyone in the area!

You can’t beat the lunch specials. Each lunch special comes with your main choice(I usually get spicy beef or sesame chicken) A heaping portion of rice(white or pork fried) and a side of your choice(get the crab Rangoon!) all for around 7 dollars. There are a couple tables inside but it’s not really meant for dining in. More of a takeout spot. Highly recommended for a cheap lunch that you will probably get 2 meals out of.

NEVER will I order from china wok again. The food was cold, old and completely tasteless. Except for my chicken and broccoli which tasted like fish. Crab rangoons, pork fried rice, hot and sour soup and veggies were all flavorless and obviously had been sitting around for quite some time. I’m surprised they’re still in business.

Basic Chinese fare. Always fast and friendly. My son always gets crispy orange beef, my husband always gets general gau’s chicken. Crab rangoons get a solid B+. I highly recommend the salt and pepper shrimp. Other selections are hit or miss, don’t bother with the tofu. Don’t expect gourmet food, but after a hard day at work you will be so grateful for the takeout.

I would never order from this place again. Admittedly, I ordered on probably one of the busiest nights of the year(NYE) but they told me my order should’ve been delivered in about an hour. After an hour, I couldn’t get through as their lines were busy. I had my brother drive down there and they said the order was being delivered. 5 hours after I placed the order, I was able to get through and I told them to cancel it. I was assured that I wouldn’t be charged but I woke up this morning to find a charge for the order on my card.

They offer pretty standard for such restaurants range of food, but service is good and the food is always tasty. I would say that their food quality is better, than in similar Boston places. Once I ate steamed vegetables with spoiled corn, — thus 4.

I’ve ordered from China Wok twice in the same week very recently. This little Chinese takeout place is located in a small strip plaza next to Brothers Pizza. The place is order at the counter with open kitchen and there is table seating across from the counter next to the glass windows. I like that they offer the Lunch Specials until 4PM, which is a good thing since I tend to eat during mid-afternoon quite often. On the first visit, I had the L22 Chicken Lo Mein($ 5.25) with Pork Fried Rice &2 Chicken Teriyakis. The Lo Mein was pretty decent, firm noodles with soft boneless chicken and a mix of vegetables. The Pork Fried Rice was very standard with firm rice with big chunks of roast pork. The 2 Chicken Teriyaki sticks were very tender and juicy. On the second visit, I ordered the L27 Mango Shrimps($ 6.25) with Pork Fried Rice and 2 Peking Raviolis. The Mango Shrimp dish was pretty good, which had a few tender jumbo shrimps(cleaned) with a mix of vegetables in a sweet mango sauce(not very spicy). The Peking Raviolis(fried pork dumplings) were decent and tasty, thick chewy dough pockets filled with a ball of ground pork. Overall, this place is pretty good, the food portions were good sized for the price and the service was prompt on each visit. I like how they put the main entrée into a smaller stryofoam box inside the takeout box in an effort to prevent mixing with the fried rice. I will surely be back again. 3.5 stars

Hot and sour soup excellent as were the chicken wings. Chicken with veggies was made spicy to our order. Some of the best delivery Chinese we’ve ever had! Highly recommended.

Some of their food is awful and some are okay. their chicken with broccoli sucks. The only thing they do well is probably their spring rolls.

You won’t see me eating here again. My job moved to Wilmington so I am eating my way around town. I picked China Wok because they had delivery. I got the spicy beef and the beef was barely edible. The meet was so tough and nervy that I just stopped eating it and ate the veggies around it. The egg roll was soggy and my friend said that his General Gau’s smelt like ketchup. The only bright spot was the crab rangoon — they were very good. I really hope there are better options around here for Chinese food.

Got food here last night. My mom loves it. I thought it was ehhhh. The veggie lo-mein is good but I was really disappointed in their tofu. It was raw tofu smothered in sauce with what seemed like frozen carrots and peas. My mom got a shrimp and veggie dish and the veggies were great from that though. They need a better vegetarian section. At least cook the tofu properly. Fresh and big veggies with the tofu wouldn’t hurt either. The tofu that I got was the only tofu option on the menu.

This is thee spot for inexpensive, delicious, quick Chinese food. The lunch combination menu is extensive(20 or so entrees) and the options seem endless. For $ 5.25 you get a main item(such as kung pao shrimp, beef and broccoli etc), an appetizer and not just typical eggrolls/springrolls/crab rangoon but things like chicken wings, beef terriyaki or scallion pancakes etc, plus the choice of pork fried or white rice – for $ 1 more you can opt for lo mein instead. The amount is so generous that we always eat half one day and the other half the next. So essentially lunch is costing about $ 2.60. But even if you are a big eater, you will be FULL and still at a great price. Everything we’ve tried here is really delicious, I don’t think me or my friends have been disapointed yet. They have great vegetable items as well and it seems like everything is really fresh. This place is maybe better for take away b/c they only have 3 seating areas but if you do decide to stay they will bring it to your table. I guess you could call this more cafeteria style as they serve it to you in a to go box already.. .but who cares for $ 5 ;) They also provide hot tea for free and cold drinks can be purchased. All in all a great place, not just b/c of the price but b/c the food is actually quite delicious – which is what really matters in the end

Best Chinese place in Wilmington. I always go for their combination plates… you’ll never go away hungry.
