On the way home from fishing in Wilmington and wanted a good deli sandwich. Saw Chops on Unilocal and stopped in. Great service and some of the best deli sandwiches. I had the Manhattan, my wife had the Chicago, and my son had the Hamburg. They all commented on how good the sandwiches were. If you are in Wilmington and want a good deli sub hit this place it will not disappoint.

Open late now! Yaaaay! Getting some Chop’s after the bars is exactly what was needed downtown. Sandwiches are stacked high and always fresh. Don’t let the review below fool you about«The sandwich was small no bigger than the same sandwich at Arby’s but for four dollars less.» The same sandwich? I don’t think so. I“ll pay $ 4 for fresh ingredients and a good atmosphere any day. Best advice, look up the special which is located on their Facebook page every day and plan accordingly. It’s usually a better deal with the side and I’ll guarantee it’ll be at least 7 times better than Arby’s.

Food was really good but $ 12+ for a small sandwich and chips was too much especially since I left feeling hungry.

One of the best places to grab lunch in Wilmy. I’ve never been unhappy with a meal and I have tried at least 5 different sandwiches.

Had the Constantinople samdwich, and chop slaw. Very fresh and delicious. Only down side, was out of the mint tea. Heard it was awesome.

Great please with great food. The sandwiches are unique and creative. Wouldn’t imagine the ingredients being used the sandwich go well together but they absolutely due. The people are very friendly and informative. The prices are a little high for a sandwich but well worth it.

I cannot say enough good things about this place. Great food, Fun staff, Fast service. My favorite place to have a deli style sandwich. Not a big fan of sandwiches unless they come from Chop’s Deli. Keep it up guys! PS: Mint Tea — must try.

I love the sandwiches here. This place piles on the meat! Fresh and delicious! My fav is the La Plata which is Black Forest ham with bacon, Swiss cheese, and honey mustard. I have them substitute wheat bread. Their sandwiches are the best, they use quality meats and bread and every sandwich is made with care.

Ok they use Boars Head products. Nice. But paying 9.50 for a Rueben sandwich is absurd. The sandwich was small no bigger than the same sandwich at Arby’s but for four dollars less. Nice place and nice people but inducing tax and tip was about 11.00. For a sandwich. It does include a pickle and chips. Still. It should include a drink. For that money I was expecting something from Katz Deli in NYC but no. Not sure I would go back. Not worth the price for me.

This place is the bomb, great staff, great food. Specials are always interesting and the soups are amazing. It’s tough to find a place that puts so much thought into a simple sandwich, but these guys nail it every time. I would suggest calling in an order if your looking for a quick mid week lunch. They are always packed out! That usually tells you something.

When I first walked into Chop’s, it kinda of reminded me like I was in one of those fancy delis that serve Boar Head meats and freshly made bread. Well, Chop’s is one of them. Their sandwiches are very good and the atmosphere in the deli is very calm, cool, and collective. The staff and customer service I received was awesome and I would totally recommend Chop’s Deli in Monkey Junction! There are two other locations as well; Wrightsville Avenue in Wilmington and Downtown Wilmington.

You need a quick pick me up meal Chop’s Deli is the place. I got there Friday special French Dip, chips and a drink. The sandwich was stuff full of beef and the sauce was very good. Not a bad deal for $ 10.

This is the BEST place to get a sandwich in downtown. Super friendly staff and very relaxing atmosphere. They have a lot of variety when you’re choosing a sandwich which is fantastic!!! Definitely a must when in downtown.

Went this afternoon for the first time. Pastrami and Swiss on Rye. Nice spicy mustard. A classic done well. Staff is friendly and efficient. Place is clean, well laid out. The menu is extensive and I look forward to trying most of it but went with one I knew what to expect. Killer desserts. The Bombe is the bomb. The tea was a sweet mint tea which was light and minty, not Way too sweet like many. The one at Monkey Junction does NOT stay open until 8 on Sunday and Monday. Unilocal has the times from the downtown store. 4 out of 5 stars because I have only been once. Leaving room to praise.

I would have never known Chop’s existed had it not been for Unilocal. It’s a nice little deli located in a row of strip shops, but the shops do not face the road and are tucked away behind a McDonalds and some other businesses in Monkey Junction. Besides this one in Monkey Junction, they have 2 other locations, one in downtown Wilmington and one in Wrightsville Beach. They use Boars Head products for all their sandwiches. I got my order to-go and I had the Constantinople which is made with a whole grocery list of items. It has corned beef, pastrami, turkey, cheddar, swiss, red onion, roasted red peppers, homemade cranberry relish & a homemade cajun remoulade on a slice of rye and a slice of 3 cheese semolina bread toasted in the panini press. The sandwich was really really good, but a bit pricey at $ 10.00 for the size it was. You’d think with all those items listed and the price that it would be a giant of a sandwich, but it really wasn’t. I’ve had twice the sandwich for less money from other delis, but it was great nonetheless. It did come with a small bag of chips, the kettle cooked jalapeño potato chips I chose were really good too. The staff was super nice and fairly quick filling orders. I waited maybe 10 minutes for my order and there were 2 other folks that ordered ahead of me. When you order, they take your name and call it when order is ready.

So tasty! Granted the«deli mustard» is more like«fire mustard»; the service is phenomenal. And my sandwich was delicious. I got the pastrami with pickles on it. Having handsome men make my sandwich is a plus also

A really great sandwich shop is a thing of beauty to behold and we certainly found one here! Their menu is super inventive and the folks working behind the counter look like they are having fun there, too. I ordered the Plymouth not really thinking that the basic ingredients are something I do with my leftover Thanksgiving turkey — a turkey and cranberry sandwich on toast. Well let me tell you, this was elevated far above my little concoction and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Not only did this sandwich have turkey and homemade cranberry relish on multigrain toast, it also had Havarti and Granny Smith Apple slices on it. Happy Sandwich, indeed! My husband was enamored with his Tripoli, which was pretty much a meat & cheese extravaganza with Corned Beef, Pastrami, roast beef, sharp provolone, muenster, swiss, red onion and lots of flavorful sauces including horseradish. Our other lunch companion says she can’t stop ordering the Bordeaux with roast beef, brie, red onions and homemade mushroom gravy. She said she dreams about that sandwich. A delightful find and we noticed they have multiple locations in the area — I can certainly see why they are that successful!
