Sometimes you get what you pay for. And sometimes you get MORE. This is one of those times. I’m a facial virgin. 32 years old and never had the pleasure. I thought it might be a bad idea to have my first facial experience at a beauty school, but decided that for $ 12, I was willing to take a chance. You’d all still love me if my face was horribly disfigured, right? This concern stems from a teenage visit to my local beauty school which included hours of fingernail painting and a result that left me left looking like I’d bludgeoned a cow, so yeah — I’m not a general fan of the school experience. This visit changed my mind. I called today at 9am to see if me and mumsie could get in around 1:15pm; her for a manicure, me for a facial. Upon arrival she was taken right away and I had about a 10 minute wait. No problem there. My tech Jasmine was professional, though seemed the teensiest bit nervous. No problem there either. Just don’t stab me with any facial tools and we’ll be just fine. The service lasted a solid 45 minutes and was a pure delight. I don’t really know what she did, but it involved layers of soothing masks and a towel wrapped around my face. I’m sure I looked HAWT. No matter — I left relaxed and glowing. Definitely the best twelve bucks I spent this week. If I lived anywhere near the glorious Wilmington mall in which this College resides, I’d be there at least once a week.
