Cool Spring Farmer’s Market

I’d like to welcome Islanda’s cake pops & the 2 gentleman behind Troy’s Comfort Cuisine, new as of September 17, 2015. Everything was delicious & I look forward to seeing what they will have in the next 2 weeks!
I’ve bought Islanda’s scrumptious cake pops a few times, elsewhere. Never disappointed!

My favorite farmers market! But, I do live in the neighborhood so, I might be a little partial. Quality, fresh veggies. friendly people. Great selection,; you need eggs, sausage, noodles, watermelon? they have it all. And live music every week! Activities for the kids, water ice, coffee. It’s all here. Come on out.

Everything about the Cool Spring Farmers Market is welcoming, inviting, and fun! From the family-​friendly, pet-​friendly atmosphere to the incredible vendors to the live music — this is the place to go on a Thursday night for a great meal, music, and plenty of fresh produce to take home.

This place was so much fun! They have live entertainment each week, lots of space for kids to run around and tons of unique and local fresh food vendors. I tried the fish tacos and dumplings which were amazing and then bought some beautiful portobello mushrooms and blueberries. It’s just a really lively atmosphere and a great part of the community. The market is every Thursday from 4 – 8 pm. Definitely check it out!

I added their Unilocal listing and I was hoping to be the first to review them but I missed it.
As the previous user stated, it’s held every Thursday, until September. The musicians start playing at 6pm at every market. I learned about this place through Java Puppy («Java Puppy is Delaware’s first mobile espresso truck.»
) This market is one of the best around Delaware. Not only is it a farmers market where they have free live music but it actually benefits the community in which it’s located. Unlike some other farmers markets, where people will come in from different states to sell things, the vendors are all from Delaware and some right from that neighborhood.
There is a food vendor there with great Asian food; it’s delicious. I’ve had their spicy chicken and their chicken kabobs with zucchini and onion topped with sriracha. Yumtastic! And they grilled them there. The thing is they go by the name
. They do sell (their other table was filled with) pastries. I haven’t tried of any yet. But I talked to the Asian woman (there was a white woman too so that’s why I worded it that way) behind the table and she said if you called them, they would make you something you saw or had at their table. I felt like that sort of meant it was like a catering job, not like if you wanted to order dinner.
Now, I have to admit there are some neighborhood characters who come around when the music is playing. But they don’t harm/​annoy anyone and if anything, it’s more feel entertainment. There is a liquor store a block a way they seem to frequent but I have never seen anyone drinking or have seen any bottles or cans on the ground or in anyone’s hand. I’m not sure if this place is sketchy, but it’s close (across the overpass.) The park is always clean and it’s surprising how many people don’t seem to utilize it.
The people who work the market are the ones where the farmers market t-​shirts. They all look like they are kids volunteering for the summer; which I think is another great thing this market does.
Also, the park is down the hill from the Cool Springs Reservoir; which is another place to walk around. With the water being there, it brings in wildlife. I could see myself coming back to this place to do some bird watching or just have a nice little view of downtown Wilmington. Either way, if you are a photographer or like to people watch, this is the park/​market to do it.
If you care where your money goes (and we all should) then come to this market for some good food, people and entertainment. Support the people who could use some support!
