Visiting from out of town on business and this place was recommended. Decided to go with the pre fixe. Sat at the bar since I was alone. Had the Devereaux cocktail. Nice choice. The service was great. Attentive yet not annoying. The portions were nice. Every thing was delicious, but I wasn’t terribly excited about the pasta dish the bartender recommended. It was a thick noodle with mushrooms and breadcrumbs. It was heavierthani wanted. I had her bag it so I could enjoy the rest of meal. The Ono fish was tasty, but slightly overcooked. Not enough to ruin the meal. The dessert though! So good. I ordered the poppy seed butter cake. The lime compote or was it a sorbet? It was delightful. Overall, nice meal great service. Definitely recommend.

I would have given this place 4 stars based on the food, but I am removing a star for service. We were never given bread and butter. The waitress never asked what temperature I wanted my steak and duck. I overheard her asking other tables around me and they were given bread. To add to the bad experience, the food came out extremely slow. The wait staff wasn’t observant. We had to ask for water refills each time we needed it. Overall, the staff was nice but just need to be more attentive and the kitchen needs to fire the food quicker. I think it could have been since they had a large private party that day I was celebrating my mom ‘s birthday and was disappointed. However, the scallops, quail, wagyu steak, and desserts were very good. Avoid the Hawaiian ono. It was BLAND! I would come back to give it another try. I highly recommend the duck and wagyu. YuM!

My girlfriend and I ate at Domaine Hudson back in January, and it was a wonderful experience. The wine selection is impressive, though we stuck to some of the simpler proseccos and moscatos. The bar staff is also not afraid to mix a mean cocktail. Each dish is a delicacy, so if you can, try a little of everything. I had the steak, and it immediately ranked among the greatest steaks I’ve ever eaten. My dining partner had the octopus, and the tentacles were a treat to devour. This restaurant is well worth the cost.

Amazing food and service was impeccable. I occasionally travel to Wilmington for work and Domaine Hudson is now at the top of the list for dinner. The duck breast was delectable!

One of the best restaurants I have ever been to! I just recently came from Vegas a few days prior and got to try some of the celebrity chef restaurants in the Venetian. One of them in particular, DB Brasserie, is highly similar to this venue as both are expensive places with top end food recipes and presentation. I was absolutely wowed by both the quality and quantity of the food dishes. Unlike similar top restaurants, this place will not give you a small amount that can be finished in 5 minutes. It is a real meal but done with the same high end quality and presentation. He décor is very nice and is nothing fantastic in itself. Very clean and comfortable spot. He menu is an absolute delight and will change on a daily or weekly(not sure) basis. The menu itself stated a date and so I assume it could be either. I ordered the wagyu beef and sausage as the entrée and the scallops as an appetizer. I also shared a pasta dish with someone. Everything was delightful! One great aspect of this venue is he extensive drink list. There are no craft beers but they have wide variety of wines from different parts of the world as well as a special selection of unique cocktails. I like not being restricted to the red and white wines that others limit you to. The presentation of the cappuccino in itself was amazing. I highly recommend that you give his place a try. It is in Wilmington right across from the hospital. Not exactly a trendy location but you will not be disappointed. If this was located in NYC or Philadelphia, you would probably have to kill someone for a reservation! It’s just that good

I was very impressed by our meal. We got a reservation for Saturday night around 7:15. My wife really wanted the tasting menu, so I go it too. She foolishly coordinated with me to ensure we could try the maximum amount of food. I told her I was ordering the duck and she said she wanted to too, but ultimately she went for the Wagyu beef… although the beef was tasty, the duck was among the best I ever ate. My wife was a little upset that she didn’t order the duck and she took it out on me by asking why my duck doesn’t taste like theirs… We both ordered two cocktails too and they were really top notch. All of the flavors throughout the night were great. Service was excellent and I don’t think we had any complaints… Well except for the duck issue… I started off with the shaved celery and pear salad. It was so light and refreshing. I had to fight my wife from stealing more than her fair share of the candied black walnuts. My next course was the Ricotta Gnudi and my wife ordered a Portuguese octopus with gnocchi. The gnocchi was light and pillowy. She ordered the Wagyu beef and I ordered the amazing duck. We split the confit legs and they were so crunchy with just the right amount of salt. Her beef also came with a nicely smoked sausage. From start to finish we were impressed and never once did we feel rushed. We’ll be back!

Completely blown away with the fine handcrafted cocktails and whole fish entrée. For coming here on a Monday, holiday evening the place had only regulars in it, but I quickly learned why this little gem had a diehard following. Spectacular!

The charcuterie board alone earns domaine Hudson 5 stars. It is a bit of a gamble if you’re not into strange flavors… The chef has been known to take a dive off the liver deep end with his charcuterie before. Their wine app is pretty fun. I’ve had some good success gambling with the ~$ 30 bottles. The whole fish has a head on it. Chicken roulade was delicious.

Having recently graduated with a Ph.D., I really wanted to take my out-of-town family to a special dinner. I could not have asked for a more perfect evening. After mentioning the occasion, Richard, the manager, promptly offered us a nice effervescent Proseco to start the meal. Connor was an incredible server with a vast array of knowledge of the menu and the cocktail list. When asked about the crunchy seeds on our delicious beet salad, he explained they were slow braised lentils that were then fried. When our culinary curiosity was still fixated on how lentils could be used in such a way, the kitchen staff kindly provided us with a bowl of the lentils in each step along the process, so we could taste and enjoy the off beat application. And, of course, they were generous to provide us with the best deserts when we couldn’t make up our mind. Needless to say, the food was amazing but the service was better. And this wasn’t a random fluke; Domaine has provided the highest and most consistent fine dining experience in all of my Delaware tastings. And you can trust me, I’m a doctor :-)

This is a cozy little place in Wilmington that could just as easily be a couple glasses of wine at that bar with a cheese board or a special night out for a full dinner. The food is great. The wine selection is better. We had the cheese board and a couple glasses of wine and had a wonderful date night. The décor is warm and noise levels are normal.

Everything about this place is nothing special. Their dishes are presented well, drinks average at best and good lacks the flavor expected at a nice restaurant. I ordered the beat salad w/goat cheese and roasted branzino for main dish, both lacked a chefs touch. They were simply made and honestly I’m an average home cook and could easily replicate everything on the menu. It lacks creativity and flavor.

tried the restaurant week lunch twice. came back for dinner but unfortunately couldn’t get a seat because they require reservation during restaurant week dinner. tried their duck liver mousse, bouillabaisse, cauliflower bisque, truffle agnolotti. all very good! the appetizers are especially good, as i find myself liking things i didn’t expect to like — port syrup in duck mousse, blue cheese in cauliflower soup. but god were they good! i ate all the picked carrots that came with the duck mousse, and i completely did not expect myself to do that. one thing i’d say is stick with the menu — i got dessert off the lunch menu since the waiter asked if i wanted to try dessert(which lunch menu didn’t include) and out of curiosity i tried the banana bread since i was blown away by all the previous dishes and wanted to know what the best banana bread tasted like. what i learned is i shoulda stuck with common sense and ordered the flourless chocolate cake instead. the best banana bread dessert doesn’t beat an average flourless chocolate cake. that said, the ice cream and toasted peanut went great with the banana bread. and the service is great. it wouldn’t be fair to give this place a 4 star.

This was an absolutely outstanding restaurant! We went to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday and it was a hit for both of us. The service was spot on, very smooth and perfectly timed, the wine list, including the given IPad to overlook their bottles, was fantastic and the food was simply delicious. We didn’t leave one crumb on our plates! Next time we are in the area, we are coming back, for sure. A perfect dining experience!

I cannot say enough about what a fine establishment Domaine Hudson is. I’m visiting my friend in Wilmington, DE for the summer and usually stay at home cooking for myself, but I wanted to do some writing so I looked up bars in the area and Domaine Hudson came up. Even though it is a restaurant/wine bar instead of the kind if bar I was looking for, I saw the pictures and clicked more info and immediately knew I had to go ! I went in for dinner and sat at the bar where John gave me a glass of Riesling which was delicious. The décor is beautiful and the perfect place to bring a date, spouse, or a group of friends. There is wine tasting and a dessert menu made for the gods. The music was very jazzy and the Noise level was low. The first night, I had the ricotta tortellini that came with beautiful mushrooms centered around a light, creamy pistachio pesto situation. It was so good that it inspired me to make a pistachio pasta of my own(jackpot!). The corn bisque does have ham in it, and it too was the perfect level of creamy with rich layers of flavor with every single bite. For dessert I had the banana nut bread with caramelized almonds and ice cream. 10⁄10 I mean honestly ! Had to tell my friend about it because it was just that good and she ended up going right after me and ordering the same thing. So impressed. The next day, we went back with some friends for dinner and I had the serenity wine which was a delight, with the pork belly dish — this was a completely different shade of favors, with the pomegranate sending me flying over the moon and back to eat every last piece on my plate. A class act, Domaine Hudson.

Truly enjoyed their food. The selection of cheese and meats were awesome. Great variety and portion. We over ordered so maybe that made some of the dishes taste mediocre. I wasn’t a fan of the ricotta tortellini(they made it into gnocchi instead because they ran out). flavor was ok… the bok choy w/jumbo crab meat was kind of bland, so i would avoid that one. Oh, the duck dishes were a bit too salty for my taste, so I wonder they can pull back on the seasoning. EVERYTHINGELSEWASSOGOOD!!!

Great food. Obnoxious new greeter/manager named Richard. Used to go every two months or so. Put at a high top as two real tables sat empty. He told our regular server they were taken. BS. two hours later as we left still no one there. He lied,. They lost great customers. More of us will leave. The place is no longer«happy» Better fire Richard.
