I come here very often and always have a difficult time deciding on what to get since I’ve tried most of the menu and it’s all delicious. I have to say the best are the shrimp tacos! Best tacos I’ve ever had. They also have a billiards and bar connected to the restaurant which makes it a fun place to go to as well. Highly recommend to people to go try it since food is very good and at a good price.

This place has the best chicken I’ve ever tasted! You can’t go wrong with the chicken here, it’s off the charts. The workers are friendly and nice. They speak English and Spanish which is great for those who don’t speak one or the other. There are two big menus one in the front and one on the left so it’s great for many people to see. The tacos are big and delicious! They also have a bar/​pool hall next door where people of all ages could play pool which is AWESOME! This place definitely deserves the five stars.

Been coming here with my Dad since I was a Lil Buck. It’s gone through some renovations over the years but the chicken always tastes the same. Very consistent. I’m not a big on chicken but the flavor on their chicken is second to none. It’s kinda off the beaten path but worth the drive. Parking can get a little hard to find at times, just park around the corner and walk. It’s simple, it’s good and it’s always the same. Can’t go wrong.

I’ve been coming here for years and even after moving out of the area, I still hit this spot up when I get a chance and Im in town!
This is our real hood version of «El Pollo Loco» and it’s authentic Mexican food. If you’re all fancy and dine with a pinky in the air, and cant stand a little grill smoke, this place may not be for you. You can expect to smell like grilled chicken after you leave here as the grill is right in front of the dinning area… lol

nothing special very average chicken dry and not a lot of flavor. Went because of the overall reviews and found the place well below a good el pollo loco as far as flavor and over all value. Its been said the prices are good but the chicken pieces are smaller way smaller then el polo loco. The breast are not whole they are cut in half so they can have 4 breast pieces form a chicken. The value is poor overall. The staff was nice that is a plus.
this place could really rock and be a great chicken place but its well off the mark.
I guess I went on one of there off days.

You’ll love this authentic Mexican restaurant! The chicken is to die for as well as the rest of the menu! Great service and prices are reasonable. Order a Churro/​or Flan and wash it down with a tasty Horchata!

I love the service at this restaurant. The chicken is always delicious and I’m so happy that I can call ahead and just pick it up. The reason why I gave it 3 stars is because the place is always full of smoke from the chicken cooking. It’s also really hit in there.

Yes, five stars this place is delicious. The grilled chicken is pure deliciousness and the bean «ay dios mio» they are great. The location is not so good, but all best kept secrets is what make this place tasteful. So if you feel brave and adventurous visit this place.

This place is a «Char-​Broiled» chicken place in Wilmington that fares a decent plate of food. Fast food equivalency would El Pollo Loco, but that place sucks. This place tastes like it should and you’re satisfied later. I also ordered some tacos that were really good. I’ll be back.

This place beats pollo loco hands down, And it’s cheaper too. They loose a star because of the location sorry, it’s attached to a pool hall. Lol

Talk about a hole in the wall! But this is Wilmington’s best kept secret! I’ve been coming here since I was a kid and this place still takes me back to those childhood days! The staff and owners have watched all of us grow up!
Now for the food, it’s amazing chargrilled chicken cooked over an open flame. It’s like the other chicken place (you know who) but the taste of el pollo Lico chicken is simply the best! They have the best carne asada tacos ever! They also serve burritos of every kind and quesadillas too!
I’m happy these guys are still around serving up some great food! Come down here and try it! Let me know what you think!

Very good tasting chicken and loved the tripe tacos. First time trying them and will get them again. I’d give it more stars but I was a bit off by the cook cooking the steak with his hands and grabbing receipts with the hands and not washing. Didn’t see him handle money which was good. It’s impressive how he cooked them but I hope they don’t keep doing that.

The chicken at this place is sooooo delicious. I came here after my friend had her party catered by them. If you are tired of dry and burnt chicken then I suggest you try this. Both times that I have picked up chicken it has been juicy and very favorful. I have eaten at my pollo loco’s but that chicken does NOT compare to this one.
The only reason I can not give a 5 stars is the location. If you are a late night eater I suggest wait till the morning to pick up your chicken.
Yes I will go back but only togo and during the day.

El Pollo Lico is on HIT!!! $ 10 will get you a whole chicken hot off the grill! Their beans and rice are about as authentic as it gets. This place has survived without a cheesy ad campaign like other wanna be pollo spots. El Pollo Lico has been slangin’ birds up in this hood to peeps that know what’s good since back in the day and hopefully many more to come.
