The second star is for the people who actually care about the customers at the store, not the folks just reading off of a flash card corporate sent down the Mario pipeline from their slew of sewer worthy business decisions. I’ve had one of two kinds of experiences here, the manager isn’t there and the employees are actually nice and conversational, or the manager is there and they are suddenly robotic puppets for whatever the higher ups say. I waited in line for an hour and a half for the midnight launch of the XB1 at this place and was told that I could buy it once I got to the front but when the guy who said that switched shifts, I was told by the replacement they were only available for pre-order purchasers once I showed up to the front with cash. Now that I have less money, I’ve had to return most of my games and get intelligence insultingly low prices for the returns as per usual. What I heard recently however, was the most ridiculous GameStop policy I’ve ever heard of. When I was sold a copy of Halo 5, the series I’ve played since it’s first game at launch on the first console. I was absolutely unable to play multiplayer in any way for over a week so I had to return it under 10 days later. While this is still far under the deadline for full cash refund returns, I brought the game back, explained the situation, that 95 percent of the game, aside from the 4 – 5 hour campaign with no split-screen had never worked out of the box. I was told, «Because you broke the plastic seal on the box, the return is void and only valid for store credit less than half of the price you paid to pre-order and get a 1 year warranty on the $ 60 game.» Wow, because of course you can certainly tell whether or not a video game disc is broken just by looking at the sealed box the sole purpose of which is to appear flawless in order to sell said broken product. I decided I’d call corporate over that ridiculous idea as it seemed almost too insane to actually be true and was on hold for over 2 hours and 15 minutes without talking to an actual employ for one moment. I was told for 2 hours accompanying an endless loop of commercials«We are experiencing a higher than normal call volume, please wait for the next available team member working as quickly as we can to answer your call.» The only reason I stopped being on hold was because my phone went from 100 percent battery to dead waiting for one response as I cooked dinner, watched a couple of Key & Peele episodes, cleaned dishes and took a shower with that on a quiet speakerphone because it got pretty repetitive hearing the same 3 commercials after a while, the entire time never once hearing a real person answer. I’ve been doing online downloads for a while now. If GameStop can’t even give me my money back via 250 letter email complaint service(not nearly enough for a full complaint haha) I think I’ll stick with online downloads exclusively regardless of pre-order exclusives like pieces of paper with pretty pictures for broken games the GameStop warranty for which does not even cover a broken plastic wrap seal on the box. This is an absolute joke of a way to run a company.

if I could, I would give this place no stars. Came in after work to return a video game for my brother. I was being so polite when giving them info and the clerk had the a bad attitude and kept cutting me off when answering her questions. I understand the holiday season is tough but I’ve worked all day too but you don’t have to be an asshole to a stranger for no reason. Would not recommend this place for ANY reason. Customer service is crap.

People are great and very knowledgeable in ALL products. Never been a bad experience. For the most part they are the best place to buy games with great prices. With the holidays you can usually find another store to offer better prices which they do not price match which is not good but overall they have better prices most times. Cannot beat there used game products as there guaranteed to work and great price with rewards card. A+++
