I ordered over $ 1300 worth of materials, and should have paid the extra amount going through a physical vendor just to save the headache and time. I’m extremely disappointed with the service provided from Insulation4us. Their base of operations is Ireland, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but was a bit surprising when calling a «local» number and reach associates in Ireland. I ordered my materials November 30th2015 and after several calls and emails my order finally arrived Jan. 8th2015. They weren’t able to get a third of the materials I ordered(I got an email saying they reimbursed for it), and had I not called and continued to follow up, I am convinced I’d still be waiting without any word from the company. Yes, there were a total of 3 days worth of holidays counting new years(which I don’t). To save a lot of typing and reading, there were many excuses such as materials not in stock, shipping company overlooked order, shipping company had trucks malfunctioning, holidays etc. The general staff coordinating the incoming calls were fairly helpful, but seemed limited in their liberty to provide customer service and resolution. Overall this was the best price, from a site that looked legitimate. I was able to contact the CEO, and was assured an internal investigation has been submitted and a resolution statement will be provided to me(my review may change based on his evaluation and solution to the issue). I understand things happen, and I own and have been a project manager for businesses. One of my main concerns with the company is that it seems as though it is hit or miss without consistent positive results. I know that it is tricky to provide the best price, while still providing the best service and then to add being in another country makes it that much more difficult. Expectations need to be clear with your suppliers, and they should take a hit in situations such as this one. Unfortunately, it is Insulation4us’s name on the line when their shippers/suppliers mess up.

I recently spent several hours calculating and selecting products from the insulation4us website. After placing the order insulation4us informed me that even though the products I ordered are listed on their website they do not carry it in stock and they are not able to order it. I had to recalculate my order based on the few items they did have in stock. I was told that I could pick the order at their local San Francisco office to avoid the shipping fees. They charged my card and sent an email with the pickup location — Union City — more than 40 miles away. I am waiting for a refund and will rather pay more at the local store than deal with this dishonest company again.
