I drove my ad here to get his hair cut. It’s really tough to right a review on his behalf. I mean, he’s 77 and he’s always had the same buzz cut as long as I can remember. But it seems like he’s having a tougher time finding a barber shop where he can get a cut. Now a shampoo blow dry la de da, just a cut. I had driven past JJ’s constantly and decided to swing by and see what they could do. No problem. Daddy got the exact cut he wanted and was in and out no problem. I was honestly amazed how crazy busy the place is too. I can see why now. My dad looks good and he’s quite pleased with his cut. He’ll be back.

Just stopped in here on a whim driving by just expecting a basic fade. Man was I blown away. This place is definitely a guys spot. Couple old time Italian barbers, get to shoot the sh*% about sports, watch the game on the tv, and have a few laughs. Guys were great inside and I got a great hair cut; the even did a straight edge razor cut on the back of my neck to get it super close and a hot towel afterwards for $ 18. Definitely won’t be going back to my old chain place since I pay them $ 17 for a basic cut nothing else. Definitely worth the more money just for the hair cut but you get all the extra perks! Found my new spot!

JJ’s Barber Shop. Only when I was a kid have I gone to the same hair dresser, salon or barber two or more consecutive times on purpose. I generally just realize I need a haircut weeks later than I should and see a place so I run in sit down and wait. Not anymore… One day this happened to me while at work just down the road, so I went over to JJ’s on a recommendation from a coworker. I just don’t go anywhere else anymore. The three men who work here, I call them all John because I don’t know their names!, are fantastic guys. It truly is a welcoming friendly place to go sit and instantly feel like one of the guys. Sports magazines, TV’s with sports, etc. The thing I like most about these guys is they are as good with the kids as with the men. They know when to tailor the conversation and jokes if some of the dad’s bring boys in to the shop. John(closest to the window) gave me my first straight edge shave in my life and what a fantastic experience. Meticulous, careful, calm, precise… John makes every effort to comfort you and make sure you are relaxed. The hot towels, the lotions, the oils, its an amazing experience and I don’t think I have had such a smooth face since before I hit puberty!!! I won’t give my business to anyone else short of emergencies or leaving the state!

I’ve been living in Woburn for a little over a year and tried many different barber shops just trying to get a decent haircut that I’m happy with and don’t have to fix myself when I get home. It’s not asking a lot. I’ve been to Floyyd’s, the Lions Den just to name a couple and just recently tried Rooster’s in the new Market Street shops in Lynnfield(that place is a joke $ 35 for a haircut without a wash, hot towel, brow trim or even a little gel). Finally JJ’s opened up and I figured what the hell, can’t be worse than what I’ve been through. This place is exactly what I was looking for. A real barber shop for guys where I can shoot the sh** for a bit while I get a regular haircut without stressing about finding missed spots when I get home. They do a straight razor neck shave and a hot towel after and it’s only $ 13 for a cut. That’s almost 3 times less than Rooster’s astronomical prices. I’ve only been there once so far but I think I finally found a new home. On the website for Rooster’s it says Free advice on golf. I’m pretty sure the guy that butchered my head there never picked up a club in his life. If you like to talk golf you’ll get along famously with John. Well done JJ’s!!!

This is your usual old time Barber shop. Need a shave, Line up all with a TV but who needs the TV for entertainment when you have the Barbers. I think the best part about going to this shop outside of the great cut is the conversations. This is a Guys Shop.
