A great place along route 100 right next to creemee stand. We had cheeseburger with fries and clam roll. Not cheap but you get quality homemade and local food.

Delicious! I had the lobster roll which was delicious and my husband had the scallop platter which was delicious. The hand cut fries were to die for and the cole slaw was fresh and tasty.

Delicious! Got the cheese burger special. It’s a real burger. Fries were delicious also. Was craving a burger all day and this place hit the spot.

The other reviews really misled me. My husband and I both ordered a lobster roll plate. We are from Massachusetts and have had numerous lobster rolls across New England. There was literally TWO pieces of lobster in our lobster rolls. The taste was good but honestly we were so disappointed. As others said the fries are hand cut and very good. Would not go back.

Great roadside seafood stand. Everything is fresh and made on premises. Had a truly outstanding lobster roll with fresh-​cut fries and cole slaw. Next door is a roadsode ice cream stand if you need desert after.

I love the Lobster rolls here! However, the french fries are also not to be missed! The first time I ate here, I was surprised by the price for the lobster roll, fries and cole slaw and split an order with my daughter. The next time I shared with no one! The fries are homecut, boardwalk style fries. For $ 5 you can get a whole plateful. The lobster is fresh and cooked perfectly. Best little stand in Vermont!
If possible, leave room for a creamee dessert next door!

I’m a New Yorker and it’s rare to find fresh and delicious seafood. This little place have done a wonderful job in achieving the flavors of fresh seafood.
I ordered the lobster roll platter and the fried scallops platter to share with my boyfriend. The lobster roll was very tasty; lightly-​buttered bread with fresh lobster. It didn’t need other condiments to make it better. It also came with fries, cole slaw and a pickle.
As for the fried scallops, it was very fresh and tasty. The tartar sauce is homemade! Only downfall is that we paid $ 13 for six pieces of small scallops with the sides.
Joe, the owner, is extremely nice! He was making sure we enjoyed the food. He makes everything from scratch every morning — a plus!
If you’re in the area, definitely try it out!

If you ever go skiing at month snow this is the place to eat!

My first lobster roll and it was VERY tasty! Hot butter and NO mayo or any other fillers. $ 11.50 for the roll, fries, slaw and a pickle.

Like all the other reviews state: great food, great atmosphere (outside at a picnic table by the road in Vermont), and Joe is a great guy. Totally authentic, totally fresh! And right next door to the best Creemee stand in Vt.

Joe’s Home Cookin’ is the place to be!
We stopped in there when we saw the enormous lobster sign because we were shocked to see lobster in the middle of Vermont.
Let me tell you, this stop might have been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
The lobster roll is super fresh and the portion is extremely generous, especially for $ 10.
It’s served Maine style (warm w/​butter) an comes with a side of hand cut fries and some of the best coleslaw I’ve ever had.
Joe, the owner, is from Florida so he loves his seafood and makes sure to only serve the freshest lobster, clams and shrimp. Also he, along with the cook, Fred, are two awesome dudes.
If you see it in your travels make sure to stop by, you will not be disappointed.

Joe’s Home Cookin’ just opened up next door to the great Creemee Stand this past Memorial Day Weekend. My family and i stopped in and we tried the Lobster Rolls, they were very very good, fresh lobster, large chunks, good all around. For $ 10 you get a lobster roll, cole slaw and french fries, the best part, it’s all homemade!!! I spoke with the owner «Joe» who was a friendly guy who came out to ask us how our food was. He also told us that he gets fresh lobsters himself, and that he makes the cole slaw and french fries himself, impressive for a small roadside stand. It was great to see someone who cares about his product, and his customers!!!
They have tables and chairs with umbrellas and plenty of parking.
Try it, trust me on this one!
