Pretty average coffee shop menu, staff is friendly, coffee is good.

Kava Haus is a surprisingly nice little coffee shop located in the back of a former funeral parlor. It appears to be a family run business with everyone pitching in. A young girl took our order and we chatted with the owner, who was cleaning tables, while waiting for my iced mocha. The menu is itty bitty and pretty basic(coffee, mocha, etc) and there were some fresh pastries and pre-packaged juices available. Exposed brick walls, a nice corner fireplace, ultra-high ceilings, and warm colors make this a warm and inviting place to enjoy a cup of coffee. There is also a game set in one corner and an acoustic guitar, which the owner encouraged my husband to strum while waiting, in another corner. If the weather is nice, you can sit on the large front porch and watch the traffic go by. Side note: Hours posted online aren’t always accurate, as I’ve stopped by twice only to find them closed.

A great addition to the town. I wish it would have been opened before I graduated from WC! Would have been a perfect place to study. Delicious coffee, great vibes, awesome staff. Definitely stop in

What a great addition to Wilmington. Terrific coffee(just had the Costa Rican), wonderful pastries and the staff is second to none. The interior is really nice. Located on the northeast corner of East Locust and Lincoln Streets. Do yourself a favor and try this gem.
