Lang Carpet

Lang is the place to shop for exquisite high-​end carpet. They offer a huge selection and their customer service is wonderful.

The level of customer service is shameful. I bought 6 oriental rugs there last year and that experience was wonderful. I had two carpets cleaned by them since, and both were came back worse them when they went in. One, the backing separated and smelled, and when delivered back to me, they broke my door bell when they rammed the carpet into the side of the door. In their defense, they did warn me it could be a little risky to clean the one rug, so part of that is on me. However, when I took another rug to them to have cleaned, the same thing happened. The entire back is stained, it smelled and puckers because the backing separated from the hooked front. I was never cautioned that could happen. What really upset me, is when I called to tell them what happened when I unrolled it, after it was cleaned, they told me to bring it back. I was told the reason the rug was puckering was probably due to the way THEY dried it – which can cause puckering. They said if they steamed it, that should take care of it but still wanted me to bring it back rather than offering to pick it up. After all, it was their mistake. I called twice, asked them to pick it up considering it was their mistake and was told no. What kind of customer service is that? It’s a 9×12 rug and a lot to manage. If a business makes a mistake, it seems to me as a gesture of good will you would offer to help your customer out, rather than inconveniencing them. Not Lang’s. I will never go back and have shared my personal experience with others.
