Luna Café is great for an afternoon cup of Joe or even a refreshing tea! The atmosphere is welcoming, artsy and overall enjoyable! Also, free wifi! Great for working at home or college students who need a nice place to study! Also great outdoor seating area!

Found my new coffee spot! The atmosphere is very eclectic without being too in your face«cool»…everyone seems very welcoming and without an attitude you can get at some«hip» cafes. The service is great and the baristas are very friendly. All the drinks I have had are phenomenal, and the baked goods are top notch. The only problem I have is that it’s not closer to my house! Keep up the great work!

Amazing coffee! Feels like a home away from home, with such a cozy vibe to read a great book(which they have a leave a book take a book section) or to crack down on some homework/work this is the place to be whatever your needs are. This is a fabulous local coffee shop that I plan to return to over the chains.

I’m new to town and really trying to find a coffee spot that knows their coffee. After reading the reviews I headed down to Luna’s. The girl seemed to know what she was talking about. She knew the bean they were grinding was from Ecudaor and was roasted locally. But that was where the knowledge and pride in her work ended. She didn’t measure her dose and I could clearly see from the resulting shot that it was way off. She triple-tamped the grinds, pulled a shot that extracted way too fast, and served me the shot in a paper cup. I’m not sure the barista has been properly trained. But even if she was, you don’t have ceramic wares to serve your hot drinks in? WTF?

I always make it a point to stop into Luna’s when I am in town! It is a beautiful little coffee shop in an up and coming antique district/neighborhood. The owners are wonderful and I never fail to get great conversation to go along with my amazing beverage. They have a variety of light food options and always exhibit wonderful local artists. This is a beautiful local alternative to the chain coffee houses. Also, their vanilla lavender latte is so unique and delicious!

I am obsessed with my neighborhood coffee shop. I started frequenting this business a few years ago because it was dog friendly. Last week I was preparing for a video conference call when my home internet went out. I started to panic and then remembered that Luna café had free wifi so I packed up my laptop and ran around the corner. I arrived with less than five minutes to spare so I quickly ordered an iced chai, asked for the wifi passowrd and sat down to get ready for my online meeting. The owner was clearly training a new employee. It was nice to observe how patient and constructive he was while overseeing her make my drink. Once finished the owner walked out to bring my drink. Next he took the time to make sure I could connect to the Internet. In my moment of «crisis» I was really appreciative of the hands on customer service. The iced chai was hands down the best one I have ever had!

Great coffee and espresso. They have various blends from local roasters. They allow tasting of various roasts brewed. Tried most of other coffee spots in Wilmington this is best yet!

What a nice, small, simple café. It’s quiet, comfortable, and welcoming. We’ve been a few times now and the service has always been great. They have delicious coffees at a good price point. Parking is never an issue. A great place to stop and take it all in… Thumbs up.

I really need some additional stars. Not because I’m planning to lay out 5 or more… but to offer the middle ground to Luna Café as a good starting point. Café Luna wants to be a Third Wave Café. And to be honest, they aren’t quite there yet. Maybe by Wilmington, North Carolina standards. But drive 2 hours to Raleigh, or a little further, to Durham/Chapel Hill… and you will see, that Luna has a little bit of a hill to climb to even get on the radar. (yes,.mixed up metaphors)… Just like my feelings about my first visit. I really had my hopes up high… and came away deflated … Luna has a great feel, different seating to facilitate different moods, from study to social. The décor… kinda sparse on personality. Not objectionable, not memorable either. Baked goods? I don’t know. Didn’t see anything the day I was there. The latte. That’s the benchmark for me… Let’s see you do your latte before you get third wave cred. Ooops. Uh oh. An espresso, and a latte… served in paper cup to go even when we were staying. Bitter. No bright notes, no milk foam kinda tough. Will most of Wilmington notice. Nope. That’s evident due the the high star count. So if I compare to the lower standards that match Wilmington expectations, I’d leave Luna in competition with Port City Java in a slight lead due to PCJ being a soul sucking chain. Will I be back? yeah, maybe… but with lower expectations.

I love Luna Caffe. I just discovered it a few weeks ago but have been going as much as my wallet will allow it. Its cozy and intimate but has huge windows in the front so its has a very sunny vibe inside. Unfortunately I’ve never had the time to sit down but the service is fast, friendly, and extremely welcoming. They have an interesting selection of drinks in the cooler too, like naked juices and bottled coffee! There is always parking available on the street out front. The flavors and prices cannot be beat, I’d say its my new favorite coffee spot without hesitation. I just wish I had the time to sit down!

Comfortable, homey atmosphere with great music and a very kind, laid-back staff. Local offerings on food/coffees/doodads, prices are expected, coffee is great! Careful not to park in the lot abutting the building because it isn’t theirs; it’s their Disney Villain neighbors who tow people’s cars. Almond milk and home of the Extra Long Straw.

Cute little place, quiet and not a lot of traffic on a Saturday morning. Only down side was one barista working and it made for a much longer wait. Like the option of getting almond milk. They have plenty of different flavors for iced tea or lattes. Big plus is it’s dog friendly! Escaping the heat and enjoying an iced latte is a highlight. Will return when I’m back in town!

Christopher’s first review provides most of the details. Modern place — similar to Starbucks or Port City Java. I stopped in for a cappuccino which was fine. Barista is a nice guy. I will add some pix.
