I had a couple of very high-end designer heirloom pieces, a sofa and a bed, reupholstered after a moving company dragged the furniture resulting in fabric rash. I was assured by Ed that he could match the modern design and make it look like new. Work was done and pieces were placed in storage for a month before moving to my permanent location. Fast forward two months, the stitching is pulling apart, the buttons are popping, staples are coming out, the seams are not straight and pillows are short, not filling the back. I’ve emailed Ed several times. He requested photos, which I sent and then silence. Completely unprofessional. I had another company take a look and there is no way to repair. The only option is to buy new fabric and have it redone. And as you can see from his response below, all he does is try to defend the poor workmanship instead of offering to pay for the work to be redone. Even if I still lived in the Wilmington area, there is no way I would let him touch any upholstery project again. Let the photo speak of his workmanship and the response of his unprofessional behaviors.
