Finally got a response back from my emails on 01÷28÷16 apologizing for not getting back to me. The owner said that my order was returned because of the wrong address(because they put the wrong address on the package). He asked me for the correct address. I emailed it back with a request to send me the tracking number. That was the last time I heard anything from him. I have e-mailed and called with no response. I would not recommend anyone order anything from them over the phone. They took my money and did not give me the comics. I’m reporting them to the better business bureau.

My husband and I visited this store while on vacation, and it’s our second time stopping in. It’s a clean and well organized store. Limited selection of back issues, but they do have a very nice selection of premium back issues. The staff was friendly, but not overly helpful. We asked about 3 of the premium back issues on the wall, and the person working the store that day had to look up all the prices(the books themselves were not marked, which would make buying something a heck of a lot easier), and she didn’t seem knowledgeable about the books we were asking about. Then she told us she’s «not good at grading» so she’d have to call the owner for a price. Here’s the deal, I’m not going to pay you a graded price for a comic that isn’t actually graded. That’s some shady business if you ask me. Another shady business practice here is the large selection of comic/geek culture«art prints» available for sale. These are nothing more than things found on Pinterest and printed on nice card stock paper. No actual artist is getting credit, and more importantly, paid for their creative work. Not to mention that some of them weren’t even cropped correctly to even mask that they’d been stolen from the internet. This is a shame given that this is a comic book store and they should at least have an understanding and appreciation for an artist/writer/creator getting paid for their creative work. As creative people ourselves, it was disappointing to see others creative work being sold for a profit. That has really turned us off from what would otherwise be a decent comic book store. We visit Wilmington every year, so I know our business doesn’t make a weekly or monthly difference to this store, but I don’t think that should matter. Really disappointed.

Imagine my surprise as I’m walking down the street and see a bunch of the characters I know and love looking at me from a window. Huh? What the??? Nerdvana? Cool. Let’s check it out. The ladies behind the counter were friendly and greeted me as soon as I entered. They asked if they could assist me in finding anything. «Just looking, but thanks.» I proceed to walk the store and see quite a few things, but nothing I need. Unfortunately, as far as comic shops go, this particular store has a very limited selection. And, even if the selection were better, the prices were a bit on the high side of things. They offered a decent deal on new comics, but the other stuff was a bit elevated. The nice location and friendly staff are the only things preventing a lower rating.
