On a whim we decided to try Noni Bacca Winery for a wine tasting on our visit to Wilmington. Turned out to be a highlight of our trip. The wines were tasty, the tests were sufficient to satisfy, our fellow tasters were congenial and friendly and the owner/hostess was a genuine delight. We highly recommend stopping here.

What makes this place amazing is that the woman who took care of us was super fantastic — friendly and even let me cork my own bottle. We were actually tasting wine before noon — who does that — visitors do that! The pricing seemed great and the store had some really nice«other» items that will make for the perfect Christmas gift as well. Will gladly return next time we are back in town!

We met friends here on a surprise birthday weekend. We traveled from Atlanta, Durham, and Richmond. Although at first we thought we had the wrong address,(it is in a strip mall store front) we were pleasantly surprised. They have won numerous awards for their wines, which are all aged in house with grapes bought fresh from all over the world. The owner(Ken) handled our tasting and explained the wines to us. I would have liked to see more of the fermenting process, but I’m afraid there isn’t much to see here. We thought we were going to a vineyard or similar experience, but in any case we were pleased with the quality and the owners’ knowledge.

On a quick weekend visit to Wilmington decided to stop in for a tasting at Noni Bacca. HOLYCOW! I haven’t had this much great wine since a trip to France in 2002! Toni and Ken are amazing and their wine, let’s just say all the awards they’ve won are well deserved! I brought back a case of several favorites and will DEFINITELY stop here every time I’m in Wilmington! DON’T MISSTHISPLACE!

Very generous pours with an excellent selection of wines. I’ve been to many tastings and this was the best. I appreciate that we were left to enjoy our conversation, while enjoying our wine selections. He was very open to answering questions about the wines, but respected our need to enjoy each others’ company.

Noni Bacca is touted as the #2 thing to do in Wilmington, so it was on my list of things to do after the Battleship North Carolina. We visit a LOT of North Carolina wineries and vineyards from the large to the small and I must say we were definitely NOT impressed with Noni Bacca. We always purchase at least one bottle of wine when we do a wine tasting, unfortunately nothing here got the nod. The atmosphere, along with the location, was more neighborhood bar than tasting the room. The man who waited on us, who my friend says was the owner, didn’t bother to take time to explain any of the wines, their process, or anything about them. There was nothing inviting or hospitable about the entire experience. I would not return or recommend Noni Bacca to anyone traveling to Wilmington

Great wines! The server(Erin) was great and very knowledgeable of the wine. Ready to give us her best option; she was on point with each option. I will be coming back to bring my husband. And can’t wait to open our wine when I get home.

Great wines. The owner, Noni, makes the experience special. She talks about the process of making the wine & what she hopes you will taste from each wine. Her fun & energetic spirit add a special touch to the tasting. The paintings on the wall are her’s or from other local artists. Will definitely be back!

Had some time to kill before a flight home so some friends and I took a trip over. After seeing a winery in a strip mall, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I was very surprised upon walking in that I did not think I was in a strip mall any more. I was impressed by the amount of wines available for tasting, including many reds, whites, sweet, and dessert. I believe the worst part of the trip was having to decide which wines to sample. Erin was great(and really hot). She knew about all the wines and was able to recommend specific ones based on each of our preferences. She wasn’t snobby like those at some wineries, was able to talk about their whole operation, and laughed at our self depreciating humor. Bottle prices were very reasonable for the quality of wines and cases(6 or 12) shipped for free. I would definitely return if I am back in Wilmington and am looking forward to receiving my case.

Delish! Very friendly owners! An experience for sure! Originally from Buffalo so they carry coveted Ice Wine! Stop in for a wine tasting and you are sure to leave with a couple of bottles… Laid back and not pretentious at all. Definitely will be back next time we are in town. Will be ordering online soon.

My husband and I always like to visit wineries when we are travelling, and Noni Bacca was a cool stop in Wilmington. Tasty wines(we bought 3!) and lots of info on where to dine and what to do while we’re in town. Don’t miss this stop when you’re in the Port City!

Came to this winery with my girlfriend for a tasting and we were pleasantly surprised. The owner Ken was very knowledgeable about the craft and gave us a lesson on everything from drinking the wine to making it. The wines were all delicious and he even gave us a sample of this new pumpkin wine he has yet to release. There are medals everywhere and this family clearly knows what they are doing. It was also a plus that we got to meet some other people from New York on our trip to Wilmington. We will be back for sure.

Had a great time here tonight. My wife and I decided to try it. Ken was very knowledgeable about his craft and I could tell he was passionate about his business. He was very easy to talk to and engaging in conversation. Didn’t plan on buying any wine tonight but walked out with a bottle of Indian Summer(pomegranate wildberry) it is delicious. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to try some wine and have a nice evening with friends. We’re planning on trying the wine and design at the end of this month.

What a lovely place, I met some friends there last night and we all enjoyed it. Thursday night most glasses were 3.75 or 4.00, I loved both wines I tried. It was a nice friendly, laid back atmosphere and I can’t wait to go back.

Great place, wonderful people, awesome wines. I go back by this place every time I’m in Wilmington for another bottle of «She’s a nice a no?». It’s worth the time to stop because you get to choose the ones you taste & they have a good selection.

I love it here! We went for an early morning wine tasting-it was raining so what else is there to do? We were tasting with Toni, one of the owners for over an hour. We were chatting, and letting the rain pass. The wines that were the most fun to try were their dessert and fruit wines. They have so many choices! We walked out with a bunch and have been happily sipping through them.

Winery? Strip mall? Wait, what? Add in that Google maps kept referring to it as a homebrew supply store, and you can understand our mild confusion/apprehension when we pulled up to Noni Bacca. All of the above are correct. It is a winery in a strip mall which also sells homebrew supplies. Don’t be fooled, though, they put out a lot of different wines. I was a little overwhelmed at the amount on the tasting list. And to answer anyone who has the same question I did at first, yes they do make all those wines. They don’t grow their own grapes, but rather buy them from various places which allows them the flexibility to produce such a variety of wines. The selection is divided up into white, red, fruit, and dessert wines. The reds and whites are more towards the dry end of the spectrum. Mrs. B enjoyed the ones she tried. I picked a couple that were a bit too earthy for my taste. That being the case, I wish the tasting list had a bit more description for the different wines. Overall it was a nice place. We will definitely hit them up again when we go to Wilmington.
