Second time here. Good service. Food was very good, we had the hummus platter, fried zucchini, Greek salad and we each had a chicken pita. All in all very tasty. Pita and Greek salad were my favorites, the hummus was pretty good, as were the fried zucchini. Would recommend.

I had a first time meeting with the Women of Wilmington here. I enjoyed the women’s company very much and also the restaurant. The restaurant advertised live music tonight. I expected a Greek band and cries of «Opa!» But, it was a solitary keyboardist/singer. He played contemporary American music. And, the best part? It was not so loud that it was obtrusive. One could converse with ones’s table mates. It was half price wine bottle night. They had a comprehensive wine list, some Greek, others domestic. They were out of a certain Greek bottle, so I chose Frei Brothers Chardonnay and shared it with one of my table mates. I ordered the Greek salad. It contained greens, bell pepper, cucumbers, onion, feta, one kalameta olive and one pepperoncini in a Greek dressing. I wish that it had contained multiple olives, pepperoncini and more feta. But, one surprising ingredient showed up in the salad: ice! I don’t know if that is a Greek thing or an accident. I ordered the spinach pizza. Yum! Creamed spinach on a delicate crust. I ate half and will enjoy those leftovers at work. This seems like a local spot. Will definitely return.

What a delightful restaurant! The service was outstanding! The food delicious as the broiled fisherman’s platter was more than I could handle!!! The menu extensive with so many choices!!! We were also served delicious slices of pita bread that was so good dipped in the oil!!! The Greek salad was the best I ever had!!! This place is a true gem… nothing fancy… just good food and good service!!!

Disappointment. Back in the day when the Olympia was located at Wrightsville Beach, the ambiance and food were much better. The location on Oleander just seems drab and the food is average. And overpriced. The Moussaka for $ 16.95 should be closer to the $ 12 range(or less) and was lacking spice. The Gyro Pita was fine but could use some more spice as well. And we were seated at the last booth on the left side of the restaurant with a fine view of the bus trays of dirty dishes. There were only 3 other occupied tables in the restaurant at the time and could have been seated anywhere else. Thumbs up to the server though. Friendly and checked on us frequently.

We were seated quickly and I noticed plates with oil & balsamic vinaigrette waiting for us. No bread just oil. I’d rather have my server bring me the oil with the bread, no idea how long it had been sitting out. So we sit, our server was pleasant, she hands us menus and takes our drink order, still no bread. Drinks arrive, bread comes shortly, we break bread and dip. all good. We order several appetizers for the table. Calamari, Crab Cakes, Saganaki & Pizza. Calamari was good, Pizza was fair. Crab Cakes were dry and flavorless. Now the Saganaki was strange, I’ve had plenty of Saganaki from my days in Chicago and this was no Saganaki. They somehow ruined flaming cheese. Main course, the Gyro Dinner was sad, old over cooked veggies, plain«Greek potatoes, and that sad pre-sliced gyro meat you buy in the store. If I go out for Greek I want my Gyro from a rotisserie spit! The Tzatziki was not good and served in a very small plastic cup. They want $ 2 additional for more Tzatziki. We also had the Flounder Athenian, too much spinach not enough feta, very small piece of fish, we ate some of the fish and rice. The veggies were from the same old over cooked pot as the Gyro Dinner. We told our server we did not enjoy the Flounder Athenian and that I was surprised to see the pre-sliced Gyro meat, they said sorry. I agree, Sorry!

Was excited to try Olympia after hearing some good things! Inside we found a cheerful server and a unique bar. We decided to order the Zeus platter to split, but asked if things could be grilled rather than fried. We said if not, no big deal — we can get something else. We were assured this was«no problem.» Everything came out deep fried and dripping in grease! We had heard our server call out the instructions to the kitchen, so we didn’t call her out on the issue. However, then her service went down hill. I sat with an empty water glass while being the only table in the house for example and it took us forever to get the check. Not only that, but for fried food — it was still poor quality. I wanted it to be good and hopefully they do something else well, but this was a deal breaking visit for me!

The stuffed grape leaves was excellent. The moussaka was delicious. This is not a hole on the wall restaurant. Well décor and excellent service. If you want to try a good Greek food, you must try this place.

I’ve had better greek cuisine many places. Olympia serves stale cut up pita bread in the bread basket along with tasteless olive oil dip. Their fresh bread is better. I had the gyro platter and found the meat to be pressed formed loaf gyro-like meat with a crusty rim… not homemade and not even pressed meat at least heated on a spit. My husband had the pork tenderloin special which turned out to be cut out pork chop loins in very salty tomato sauce. Neither of us was impressed.

Have been driving past Olympia for a while and love Greek but that just didn’t meet my expectations. It was voted best of bye encore but honestly I think pita delight is better. Service was fine. My gyro was ok, meet was a bit dry and bland. It wasn’t bad but for the price it was nothing spectacular. Also, no falafel. Wtf?

last time i went there the service was bad, the food was not that great, and the prices are to much. Needless to say, last time for that. There are to many good restaurants to waste my money on this one.

Decent diner fare; but prices are a bit higher than they should be. That being said, the fried zucchini sticks were worth it. The rest? Not so much.

Typically, my reviews of a restaurant are bourne of some craving for a particular food. To save you the mystery, yes I was craving good Greek food and needed a fix. I have driven past the Olympia many times so today my craving had me pull the pin and drop in. The menu was pretty complete, I was craving Soulvaki but it was not found on the menu :(Instead I took the plunge for the Zeus Platter(appetizer) and Chicken Pita. Zeus ROCKED! Hummus(yummo), skordalia(basically cold garlic mashed potatoes weird but good), shrimp(yummo x2), scallops(yummo x3), spanikopita(outstanding) and stuffed grape leaves(OMG!!!). The chicken pita was great too and the tzatzki was great! My partner had the Sliced Lamb Pita and I snagged a taste, incredible! He guarded the rest like a junk yard dog and when I whined for another piece sneaking across the table to snag one, I almost got a fork in the back of my hand! I will order that the next time for sure and have my fork poised for anyone who dares to snag the lamby goodness of this pita. The waitstaff was friendly, kept the drinks full and checked in frequently without being obnoxious. Good waitstaff in Wilmington is a rarity and one of my peeves. All around the Olympia is a great find and the food is worthy of any Greek craving… Opa!
