What a nice surprise to find this great Italian restaurant so close to the beach! Yummy food and beautiful décor!

The first time I took my girlfriend here it was for her birthday, and it was a pleasant experience. I like the interior design, and the waiter was very professional. She ordered the chicken parmigiana, and I ordered the spaghetti and meatball. The second time she called in for an order of takeout. It was chicken parmigiana and chicken marsala. The chicken parmigiana was at best average, and the chicken marsala came with a piece of chicken with no pasta noodles. I really expected a better quality of food from a place like this.

The food is great! However, when I went, I ordered the gnocchi I apparently pronounced it wrong and the waitress rudely corrected me. Sorry, i’m not italian and I don’t eat gnocchi on a regular basis. A friendly correction of my pronunciation would have sufficed.

Delicious food! Great prices. Good service. Soups and homemade and taste every bit of fresh and flavorful. Pizzas are creative and delicious. Pasta sauces are high quality and right on. Breads are awesome!

All time favorite Italian. Spinach pizza and melanzane pizza is the best! Everything else that I have had has been amazing.

Wow, I find it hard to believe that anyone would give this place less than five stars. I have not had everything on the menu, but everything I have had was incredible. Salads are big enough for two, entrees are a little on the small side(depending upon dish), and don’t miss dessert, maybe order dessert first!

Great food great service great ambiance. This place is the triple threat. Haven’t ever ordered anything bad but I particularly love their salads and the vodka sauce with pasta. The pre-dinner bread and oil is also super good! The restaurant is super cute Italian themed with little mismatched tables and chairs.

We really enjoyed the food, the service was excellent, decent prices, nice menu, but for a Thursday night, the place was packed, no wait, just really crowded and loud, this should be a testament to how good the food is but also sort of messes up the atmosphere a bit. Don’t go on a romantic date, but definitely bring the family and friends. Be prepared to yell.

Great atmosphere and staff attentiveness. The food was pretty darn good as well. I had the spaghetti w meatballs and sausage and my wife and the pasta with vodka sauce. We shared the fried mozzarella. Everything was a 4 out of 5.(The prosecco was a 5.)

Incredible! Started with calamari(perfectly crisp with outstanding peperoncini aioli) a side of amazingly smooth ricotta(to spread on the crisp complimentary house made crackers) and a side of bolognese sauce to dip the house baked bread. Stop it. The tortellini dish is out of control. I wish I would have ordered that-don’t get me wrong-my creamy pesto shells were incredible but something about that tortellini. maybe the crisp prosciutto. Makes me literally unable to even. Okay so then dessert. We were going to go to Boombalottis but because it started to storm like armageddon style, we decided not to, and I’m SO happy we stayed. BREADPUDDING. Order it!

Me encanto la atmósfera de tranquilidad se nos paso el tiempo volando, los platillos ricos pero el pan muy duro lo que si estuvo delicioso fue el opera cake, la presentación exquisita

Doing a quick memory bank sweep in my head, I can’t think of another Italian place that I have been to that is better than this one! Seating is very comfortable because the place is big which offers each table plenty of leg room. The ambiance is quite inviting with dim lighting with a slight rustic look. Our sever was wonderful. She was very patient with us as this was our first time. She was very knowledgeable of the entire menu. She was fast but elegant. The food!!! OMG, I’m drooling just thinking about it again. Their artichoke appetizer was something I’ve never tasted before. It was so yummy. They had this delicate batter on them in this white wine lemon sauce. You can just take a piece of bread and sop up that sauce. I had the chicken parmesan with fettuccine noodles instead of the usual spaghetti noodles. The red sauce was perfect. It was chunky enough to get the great taste of it and stick to the noodles. The chicken was cooked perfectly and had 2 huge thick slices of mozzarella melted on top of it. I was in heaven! If you are ever in the Wilmington, NC area, I highly suggest you find this place and go. Make sure to make a reservation though.

Never disappointed with our meals. A comfortable Italian restaurant at a reasonable price. Keep going back. Love all the pasta dishes. Service always a joy.

Our first dinner as we begin our traditional 2 week vacation. Started with spinach salad — they will split or serve sides of their salads — nice! Lee had veal as usual. I had scallops with grilled veggies — really good and clean too!

My family and I have been here several times and at different times of day. We also came on Mother’s Day one year. Fantastic place! It was suggested to us by our daughter. Every time we have eaten here our food has been amazing and the wait staff are top notch as well. Nothing but praises for this fine restaurant. We can’t wait to go back!

One of the top Italian restaurants in town. You can tell because it’s always busy. On the lighter side of Italian, and upscale. Great wine selection. The large bar in its own room is a popular after work drinks spot. Several of the staff could be models.

If only I could give it 3.5. Really good food, nice service and excellent price point. — Brick oven pizza was excellent. Crust was perfect, airy and crisp. — meatballs are a standout. My 3rd time here and will keep coming back for these and the outstanding tomato gravy. — Butternut squash ravioli… alright but not amazing. Come for the meatballs and stay for the rest.

The search continues for the best Italian in Wilmington– hard to give 4 stars at this Mayfair Staple. Stopped in the other night and was left a little disappointed by bland food at rather steep prices for the quality. Osteria has the some of the best reviews for an Italian restaurant in Wilmington. Being in Mayfaire alone comes with its own set of expectations, and overall the experience was a let down. We sat at the bar and service was prompt. Surprisingly, on the weekdays they have a pretty god happy hour menu, where a good selection of apps are 5 $, and some drink specials. And, honestly this would be about the only reason to come here. The restaurant is fairly large with an upscale ambiance, the kitchen is large and towards the back and you can see a good bit of the action from the main dining room. The Mussels we ordered(not on special) were the best part of our meal. Everything else was just dull. The veal piccata had almost no flavor and the salmon was cooked to the right temp but was also equally boring. The calamari app was standard, nothing to right home about either. We did not try a pizza dish, so those might be better, but hard to see it given what we were served. But the taste profiles here just didn’t merit the other high reviews I have seen.

I came here with my family today for dinner and was pleasantly surprised with some things, but a little disappointed with others. It was pretty busy, but the restaurant was pretty big and accommodated everyone comfortably. We did have to wait a few minutes to be seated, but it wasn’t a big deal. I was also really impressed with the interior décor of the restaurant and how beautiful it was. There was even a nice fountain out front — I can see this place as a great date spot. My parents and I decided to try the antipasto special of the day(goat cheese, salami, orange honey, crackers and dried apricots) as our starter. I really liked the cheese and the salami, but everything else seemed out of place. The crackers were super dry and we were not sure what to do with the honey and apricots. For our entrees, we had the tortellini Michaelangelo, linguine with clams and butternut squash ravioli with sage and brown butter. I originally really wanted to try the pappardelle but they didn’t have it — I was disappointed because it was on the menu. I did like the ravioli a lot — the filling was sweet and creamy and the butter was savory and rich. However, the raviolis were pretty small and they only give 8, so I’m pretty sure if I hadn’t stuffed myself with bread I would have still been hungry. On the other hand, my mom and I thought the clam linguine was bland while my dad thought the tortellini was overseasoned. Either way, there was a little bit of inconsistency with their seasoning but I did think that their pastas were cooked really nicely, perfectly al dente. Not a bad restaurant with pretty good prices, but I also wouldn’t be jumping at the chance to come back.

Cozy, fresh pasta, decent wine selection Came as a group of 5 on a Monday for dinner. Ambiance: pretty large dining room that is split into smaller rooms for a cozy rustic feel. I just love the mismatched plates and rustic cloth napkins. Service: our waitress was perfect, attentive but not overly«present» during our meal. Drinks: nice selection of whites, reds, and some bubbly. Also had a cocktail selection. We opted for a bottle of the red wine special for the day $ 29/bottle Food: overall solid, the sauces were all too heavy with cream, but the pastas themselves were fresh made and popped in your mouth –artichoke appetizer was okay. decent in size for sharing. Fried pieces of artichoke then drizzled and made soggy by a creamy lemon sauce. I could probably live without it again –gnocchi with sausage — $ 19 — the gnocchi were surprisingly light and fluffy. Quite frankly the best dish of the night –paparradelle with bolognese — $ 13 — delicious pasta with great texture. The bolognese sauce was solid and they taut«made with veal», it was a bit too rich for my liking Overall a great meal. Would definitely come back with a group or for a date

Service was awesome, very attentive, knew the menu, funny etc Ordered the St. Germaine Fizz, mainly tasted the prosecco but still a lovely refreshing floral drink. For dinner, had the lobster ravioli’s … OMG! Heavenly bites of chunky lobster, between al dente pasta squares. The pasta was stuffed FULL of lobster, the proportion was just right. Finished the entire plate and wanted to lick the bowl. Ahh so good :) Also I opted out of the side salad to begin,
