This store is owned by the nicest family in the world. They make everything in the store — beautiful stuff. I love visiting and people always love gifts I give from Re Eco.

How do you even begin to describe Re-Eco Design? This is the one stop shop for everything you never knew you needed or wanted. a family owned business where the only thing better than the handmade gifts are the amazing people who make them. each gift — from leather earrings, bottle openers, candles, hand painted furniture, terrariums, the list goes on! — is made by hand, one of a kind, and perfectly unique. Throw in the fact that Robert Holst is a well established(and highly regarded) artist in the Wilmington community and you’ve got the definition of the perfect gift shop. Local artist who strive to re-create, re-use, recycle and respect their nature resources through art and gifts that are environmentally friendly and honor the beautiful coastal community it is apart of.

How can I possibly be the first reviewer of this little shop? I thought for sure that someone else would have grabbed it. Okay, so you’re driving along Oleander Drive, whizzing along at the speed of 55 or so and you see this funky little shop with a lighthouse? chimney? outside. If you’ve been around a while, you might remember it as the antique store. Anyway, get your car in the right hand lane right after you pass Tidal Creek and PULLIN. Do this especially if you need a birthday gift, Christmas/Holiday gift, etc. Trust me. Everything in there is made with the intent of creating earth friendly, recycled products. They have really cool upcycled bottle openers, screen printed flour sack towels, upcycled furniture, jewelry, terrariums, candles, the list goes on. A common theme is native plants(Venus flytrap art), ocean themes(octopus earrings), and water sports(surfboard screen printed bottle openers) Robert Holst’s prints are vivid and capture the Wrightsville Beach past(The Glenn Inn) and present. Add to the fact that they do custom work(furniture upcycling anyone?) and you’ve got a winner. This place is truly worth a visit.
