Came on a Sunday with a friend. Half off the appetizers! They were great! Love the atmosphere but maybe tone down the Irish jig music down so we can hear ourselves talk? Great service from Megan ! I love going there for a quick bite with a friend. They are great for Monkey Junction!!!

I don’t normally write mediocre reviews of somewhere I’ve only gone once, since I know everywhere is entitled to a bad night. With that said, this Slainte location hit pretty much every bad note, so that’s more than a «bad night» as far as I’m concerned. Before I go into my rant, there were a few good things. Firstly, the draft beer selection was awesome and had some of my seasonal favorites. SO nice not to have to deal with the usual lousy pub beer and if other things had gone better I would have stuck around for a few more rounds. The patio area was really laid back until it got overly crowded so that was nice. I’d love to start trying their whiskey selection. The band was really fun. Onto my rant… I think the main issue can be attributed to the fact that there were a TON of people and maybe Slainte isn’t used to that. When I got there, before music started, the inside was packed and patio empty, but once the tunes started no one was inside — I’m assuming they all filtered out — and it was super crowded. There was one server/bartender outside and probably close to 40 people on the patio, between tables and standing. She was in way over her head and her surly attitude showed it. I’m not sure whether someone called out for their shift or if the place has bad staffing patterns, but either way it took ages to order, ages to flag her down again for a drink, she snapped at someone in my party(for ordering out of turn because he was having trouble hearing), we couldn’t get to the server to get our check… the list goes on. I’m really hoping it was just an off night for her. I’m a vegetarian, so my options were limited to appetizers and salads(no biggie). I had a bite of pretzel and queso that a friend ordered and while the bite was really tasty, I would never pay $ 8 for it. I ended up ordering the boxty figuring fried potatoes couldn’t be bad. Eh. There was a small pile of bland, soggy potato pancakes with a «homemade cream sauce»(seemed like watered-down sour cream), and a few pieces of raw zucchini. Other items friends ordered looked a bit better, so maybe I just ordered wrong. Another negative is that there seemed to only be one bathroom for each sex. It’s a bar. People pee a lot when they drink. I know this is a silly complaint, but it’s a legit one. Again, maybe they were busier that night than normal and it wouldn’t stop me from going back, but it was frustrating having to do the pee-dance right outside the kitchen door. While I might have stayed for more than one beer if the service OR food had been better, it just wasn’t. And given how long it took to even flag the server down for a moment, I sure wasn’t going to try to ask for a Manager to complain. I’d rather just chalk it up to it not being the place for me. If a friend insisted going back, I would give it one more shot. But when the service is lousy and the food is lousy, I’m not going to waste my time on my own.

This hidden gem is the best place to catch the game and share a meal in the Monkey Junction area. Wonderful beer and Jameson selection, including five Irish beers on tap. Unilocalers love the friendly staff and the cheap food, specifically the Ruben. This 3,400-square-foot bar has lots of TV’s to watch the game and a nice outdoor patio with an outdoor bar. Unilocalers love the quality of food for a reasonable price. Here you can enjoy the game while devouring Irish poutine, curry and chips or my favorite the steak and Guinness pie.

First two experiences were okay. Good prices on food and always had friendly service. Came in on a Monday night and had worse service ever. If they don’t already– bar really needs to post which bartender will be working. Because will never come back again when Arianna is working. We ordered two beers and had to wait 20 min until she took our food order because she was too busy flirting with two guys drinking bud lights. Then the kitchen completed messed up my order when it was excruciatingly simple, and had to wait another 10 min. Probably because I watched the cook take her break and eat and drink right next to us. Ugh next time going to Buffalo Wild Wings next door. We were excited to be locals at this bar until we were completely ignored. Yet the only people in the place.

Love the staff. This bar is a cool place. The Jameson master’s challenge is such a cool idea. The good is above average quality and for a low price. I like all of the other locations and this is no exception.

I really enjoyed everything about this place. Super laid back and the staff really couldn’t have been any nicer. Great food and drinks. Nice place inside and out. The real standout to me were the people working there. They made me want to come back just for the service. Amazing.

Wonderful prices! Food was great! Bartender had an excellent knowledge of beer. She recommended beers exactly to or liking and also let us step out of the box to try a few we normally would not.

Glad to finally have another option other than BWW in the MJ area for pub food, beer and watching sports!!! Great beer selection and of course I had a couple of Guinness to go with my Rueben and fries. I’ve had better but for the price it was very good and well done, fries with malt vinegar were perfect. A little noisy due to it being in a strip mall with high ceilings but tastefully done with a great bar. Staff was very attentive; however my only pet peeve was one of the bartenders was constantly checking her phone and texting… Might just be me but I find that to be rude.

My wife and recently found this place while out on errand on June 28, 2015. We walked in and were escorted to the bar as we requested. There were only two other tables of people seated. As we sat down, one or the employees approached me and advised me that in order to stay, I would have to don one of their t shirts as they did not permit sleeveless shirts in the establishment. Not a tank top mind you, a sleeveless shirt. I asked if they knew they were in a beach town and that this was a bar, not a high class restaurant and he deferred stating«my boss I’d very strict.» No signs posted. I was shocked and embarrassed. We advised him we would take our business elsewhere. The wait staff seemed shocked… I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Very solid establishment. Great beer selection, and a very extensive whiskey collection if you are into that. Lots of TVs for sports watching and a nice outdoor patio with an outdoor bar. Clean inside, good service, all around a nice bar. Also, the food is definitely a step above bar food, albeit on the unhealthy side. Great place to hang out or go watch a game.
