I went on 5÷24÷15 for the infamous turkey and cheese croissant sandwich and ended up with food poisoning. My husband criticized me for buying a sandwich from a donut shop but I’ve known a lot of people who get sandwiches from here. I suffered with vomiting and stomach cramps.

This is one of the best donut shop in Wilmington. Yes! the place is in the ghetto area, but I don’t care. I come for the tasty donuts and the girl that work there.

Wow I cannot believe that no one has reviewed Smile’s yet! This tiny, unassuming donut shop shines like a jewel amongst its hectic Downtown Wilmington setting. I occasionally work nearby and, when I do, I always have to stop by smile’s. The smile’s special croissant sandwich (#8 i think) is delicious and they make them right in front of you. Add chips and a drink and it comes out to around $ 6.00 which is great considering they use Boar’s Head meats/​cheeses, and make their own croissants (i believe so). The donuts are also good when fresh and the workers are very friendly. The crowd there is a bit «Wilmington»; think older guys playing lotto and people visiting nearby businesses.
