Y’all!!! This place is awesome!!! I just moved to the Wilmington area & needed to find a salon. A GOOD salon… a salon I could TRUST!!! The first time I came here was after my husband gave me a gift card for a mani/​pedi. That was AMAZE!!! I am extremely picky about who touches my hair/​eyebrows. Marcella does SUCH an amazing job on my eyebrows!!! I love the fact that she’s a licensed esthetician & uses all natural products!!! My skin is super sensitive-​so this is an added bonus!!! I honestly can’t say enough good things about this place or Marcella!!! I can’t wait to get my hair cut here!!!

I have been having horrible experiences the past couple months with my hair. When I went to Kristen I was nervous at first but she immediately made me feel comfortable. I am so in love with the way she did my hair. It looks so beautiful and she did exactly what I asked!

First time here and will definitely be back. Trent cut my hair today and did a great job. He does a real good fade and explains everything he’s doing which really puts you at ease. The place is very clean and all the employees seem genuinely happy to be there and like each other.

This was my first time getting an actual hair cut in almost 10 years. Jenny S. gave me a fabulous, sassy, adorable, and versatile hair cut. She knew exactly what to do for my thin/​straight hair type and even gave me tips on how to style and what would look best on me. They even offered coffee while getting my hair done. Overall a friendly environment with top of the line stylists.

Got my first ever spray tan done by Denise and it was amazing. She made me feel comfortable and it turned out great. Only took about 10 minutes and very reasonably priced. I will definitely be back.

Salon is beautiful. Everyone who works there is very friendly. Neena was my stylist and gave me the best cut and color I have had in my life. A very clean and professional salon. I would recommend this place to all my friends. Oh and let’s not forgot the glass of wine or cup of coffee while you get beautiful.

I love it there. So much energy. Great and creative styles coming out of the business. Would highly recommend Tanglez to anyone.

Krista knocked it out of the park again! I said, «Do whatever you want.» She did an ombré effect with three different colors and did a great blow out. The only downside was that I went home to share my awesome hairdo with my dog.

Tanglez is the best salon in Wilmington. Krista is amazing with both cut and color and the spray tanning artist is fabulous as well! The only time I was not particularly thrilled with any of their services was when I had my eyebrows waxed here. The woman was nice enough, but missed a lot of stray hairs and didn’t do a great job shaping them up. But I absolutely love Krista. She is so amazing and I will be forever thankful for her fixing an atrocious haircut of mine a few years back. GO NOW if you want some amazing hair!

I love Tanglez!!! I have been seeing Alicia for almost a year now and she does amazing work!!! She knows exactly what to do and gives great advice and help! I have even talked my husband into getting his hair cut there! Also, she gives the BEST massage on your head and neck when washing your hair! I wouldnt go anywhere else. All the other employees are very nice too!!!

Always excellent service! Alison Sessoms has been my stylist for several years and always does a superior job on my cut and color. Best salon in Wilmington by far!

Christine H. is THE BEST IN TOWN! She has been doing my hair for two years and is the only person in town who can give my boyfriend a perfect cut!

Went in to get my hair colored/​highlighted light brown/​blonde. I had a reddish brown color that needed bleaching or it would never go lighter. I tell the lady I want my natural hair color of light brown/​blonde and she puts dark brown hair dye on it. turns black. She did NOT listen to what I wanted, I even brought in a picture! She put highlights, if you could even call the barely visible streaks on the tips of my hair in, and charged me over 100 $ for all this. NEVER go here. Maybe I got a new stylist but it was the worst experience ever, do you know how hard black is to get out?!
Also, had to wait 20 minutes past my appointment time. The front desk staff were snotty and rude, as someone else also mentioned. Stay away.

I have known Donnie, the owner of Tanglez for a while now and actually had him cut my hair before. Terrific job on hair cut.
I have also had the privilege of getting a spray tan there by the technician. (Can’t remember her name)
I have to say that this place is extremely professional, courteous, helpful and ALWAYS busy. I would totally RETURN!
To start I will say that I wasn’t happy with the spray tan. It wasn’t streaked or an orange color or anything like that; I just wanted and expected something different, something a little darker. Then, low and behold, I ran into Donnie downtown that night and spoke to him about it and he said, «Come back in tomorrow and we will make you darker or whatever result you want.»
You could tell in his voice that he was sincere and actually wanted a HAPPY customer. I came back nervous expecting everyone to be rude and snotty about it and it was the total opposite. Everyone was nice, agreed that I wasn’t dark enough and when I came out looking amazingly dark they even complimented me and told me that I was 100% right.
I felt so much better after leaving and Tanglez has a customer for life. :)

I had a massage and the tech was nice, but she had no listening skills. I asked her not to get my hair wet or full of oil-​she did both.
As an added bonus she physically hurt me by applying too much pressure. Voted best massage? Not by my standards!
The front desk staff were snotty, rude and not very helpful.
