The Pub

Yummy! Get the pulled pork nachos! Best in town! However, be prepared if the bar is busy. It can be a challenge ordering due to the awkward bar layout… same slowness when it was Kefi.

Nothing fancy about this place. The service I felt was a little slower. This pub is divided into two sections the restaurant portion and the bar. So if you have young kids it works out great. However they have great burgers and friesI recommend you try the Blue Munster burger.

Good food. Good service and an outstanding place to watch football. Great beer selection at very inexpensive prices. A very worthwhile use of your time.

I’m confused on how this place isn’t busier. Great service, amazing food, solid beer selection. Probably one of the best blue cheese and wing combos I’ve ever had. Ordered the Blue Munster burger… I don’t even like apple butter and it was amazing. If you’re in the area and you don’t stop by, I promise you are missing out. If you can, sit at the bar.

website says late night food is served until 12am (midnight). 11:20 pm and the kitchen was closed. unorganized staff, nice outside picnic tables, no servers. the only good part was multiple tvs outside. I repeat, update your online website with the closing time of your kitchen or operate to the hours posted. update** someone replied to the post confirming the late night menu should have been open at 11:20pm. wouldn’t have been a huge deal if we just dropped in but we brought a crew of 6+ in an über to eat.

Great burger, excellent prices! Went on a Saturday night with a good sized group to see the band «Overtyme» play. The service was excellent. Our server was very attentive to the group and visited our table often. I would recommend this place to anyone. (The band was great too)!

A good place to relax and unwind. Outside seating to enjoy your day. Swing by and get the Taco platter, you’ll love it.

Great spot with excellent drink specials. You will never find better price beer this close to the beach ANYWHERE! Wednesday $ 2.50 wine. Dollar drafts Monday’s, $ 3 Bloody Mary Sunday’s. Tuesday $ 2 all Latin beers. Plenty of well drink specials too. These are great deals! Food is really good. Try the mac n cheese du jour or the chicken club. Burgers are great. It’s bar food but stepped up. Their ground beef is fresh-​ground in house with several cuts. Staff can be a little slow at times — but they are busy and it’s beach living. Relax and enjoy. They have live music in season and on the weekends. Outdoor seating for smokers. Great crew, great owner. Locals know that this is a great place to come and gather without pretense. Check it out.

Waitress pet a dog then handled our food… straight up loved on the dog before handing us plates. Fried pickles were way too salty… a friend’s milkshake was all milk… and the waitress stuck her fingers in the milkshake when putting in the cherry… the waitress also spilled water multiple times… the wait was long… the burgers were dry… but hey, the fries were good. Overall, it was a weird experience. Just go somewhere else.
Update: Pretty sure I got food poisoning from this restaurant.

This place is outsanding! Wings were great, nice selection of sauces and cooked perfectly, nice and crisp, and not over sauced, the build your own burger is the way to go, you have your choice of breads which are made next door in their own bakery, an amazing amount of toppings to choose from, and several different types of bacon!!! Burgers are fresh ground combo of chuck, short rib and brisket, OMG amazing!!! This was my first time here and i deff will be back again!!! Fries were fresh cut and amazing along with the beer battered onion rings, made the meal complete, nice large beer list to go with the burgers!!!

I got wings, fries, and fried pickles. Everything tasted pretty good. The wings were a little dry, the fries were awesome, and the fried pickles were crispy and not soggy. Service was somewhat slow but our waitress was very friendly. I would come back and the prices were okay too.

More like a bar than a restaurant, but the outdoor seating was adequate, even with kids, and the burger I had was about the best I have ever eaten. Nice selection of bottled and draft beer too.

Went during the tropical storm as Sweet & Savory was closed. Glad we did. The Hotter Than Hell burger was amazing. Good selection of beer too

Went here because we tried Sweet and Savory and loved it. Big mistake. Monday night and I think the only people there were employees of the Pub and Sweet and Savory who had obviously been off work and out for a few drinks. That was fine but it seemed like all the people there were annoyed by actual customers. We ordered burgers since that is what was supposed to be so good. My wife’s burger was good and cooked medium as ordered. Mine however was very well done. While juice ran from hers my plate remained bone dry, no juice left in that meat. After one bite the waitress came by to see how things were and I nicely said the kitchen missed medium. Her response, «sorry» and walked away, not to return until we were done. My water sat empty most of the meal and even after I asked it was quite a while before she returned and that was with the check.
If you want to close for an employee night that’s great. But if you are going to have customers, train your staff to treat them right. And if burgers are going to be your specialty, cook them right or make it right. Sorry and walking away doesn’t cut it.

The wings and fried pickles were great! Plenty of beer on tap to keep you satisfied. They even had live music that rocked the patio Saturday afternoon. Good Time!

Great beer selection and surprisingly inexpensive. I think 30 or more tap beers with a large local selection. Had the «Hotter than Hell» burger with ghost pepper chili and it was great. Cute waitresses and a great bartender (Liz).
Definitely the place to go for a good sandwich or wings near the beach without having to drive around and pay for parking.
There was a live band on the outside patio and it was a great place to sit and have a beer.

Ok, full disclosure, this is really a combo review of the Pub at Sweet & Savory, and the actual Sweet & Savory. It was a Sunday around 11:30 and being from out of town, we were staying at the hotel across the street. Could see this place from the room and it seemed interesting.
We went to the traditional Sweet & Savory and put our name in with the hostesses, who looked like teenage twins. I guess it had been a long morning, as their friendliness was nowhere to be found. We waited about 10 minutes before being seated.
They handed us only lunch menus once seated. I asked if we could have brunch ones, and we were told they were no longer serving brunch… At 11:30. On a Sunday. In a beach town. With other people clearly still eating breakfast-​themed food.
At that point, the hostess could tell that we look puzzled. She said we could still have brunch next door at their other restaurant, the pub, which shared a chef and menu. Strange, but we took her up on the offer.
She walked us thru a prep area, patio and parking lot and seated us at a booth in a ½ empty space. Our waitress arrived shortly thereafter and was extremely friendly. The menu is pretty extensive for both lunch and brunch. Beer prices are also really good, considering it’s a pretty tourist-​y area.
The food did take about 25 min to come to the table. However, the waitress and two other staff members (mgmt?) were apologetic for the delay.
The food itself, a Caribbean chicken sandwich and churro French toast, was really tasty and inspired for «pub» food. At about $ 8 a dish, it was also great value.
In summary, I’d definitely give this place another try. Though I’d definitely advise the restaurant to expand their brunch hours (or at least advertise them better) and ditch the Olsen twin hostesses. Overall, a sweet experience.

Came here to meet with a large group, probably between 10 – 15. We were the first two there, ordered sodas. After more people came, it seemed that the waiter lost track of who ordered and who didn’t. We were going to order food but ended up just saying «forget it» because it took too long for the waiter to finally ask if anyone wanted food. Drink refills were slow. The waiter forgot to bring one of our friend’s beers.
The food did not look bad, but seemed to take a while to come out (probably 30 – 40 minutes).
The service here really needs to improve. Very slow.

I was a Kefi’s regular when I lived in ILM and was really sad to here that it was gone. That being said, The Pub at Sweet N Savory shows potential. The Nachos were creative and incredibly rich. The queso on them was delish, but did upset my iron gut later that night. Burger was kind of gourmet for my taste… I just wanted a bar burger, but it is not Kefi’s anymore. Oh well, time moves on… This is a good stop to pick up a cold beer among the tennis crowd and the ladies that lunch. No more salty Kefi people!

One of the strangest places we’ve been to eat. The décor looks like it was done by children and the acoustics in the restaurant can only be described as painful. The emptiness of the space and speaker set up just doesn’t mix. Our booth seating was plywood with no cushions.
We enjoyed our sliders, but honestly would not go back. Atmosphere is everything and is just lacks here. Really wanted to like it.
