Decent place for a burger and fries…
We like the pollo asado plate. My main tip is to call your order in to avoid a long wait time (on a to-​go order). The cashiers are tolerable, not great, not bad. It’s not a 5 star restaurant, it’s a diner type of spot.

4 stars because their chicken salad is sooooo darn good! Add cheese (of course that will cost you) and it taste even better. I was trying to add extra chicken the other day but ouch! It costs $ 5 for extra chicken. So nevermind. The chili cheese fries are pretty good here. I don’t understand why there are so many bad reviews. Of all Tom’s I have visited, I like this one best. Even if I have the drive is further. But that salad, that salad makes it all worth it.

Once again you manage to mess up on way or the other. a few months ago when they were still serving Caldo de Res they gave it to me COLD, when i asked for it to be warmed the cashier gave a look like i was crazy, im sorry but if i can see the coagulated fat on the stew its COLD… Then just recently went for breakfast and our ticket was lost, spent 45 minutes waiting for food when i asked the cashier she d=said i called out the food order, Im sorry but when you give me an order # i expect you to call that # no the name of the food we are not listening for that. Firefighters came after us which were served almost immediately, i understand but when i came up and asked about the food i was told its right there grab it. Im sorry i am not a dog to be eating COLD food i paid for hot food, then she had to the nerve to say do you want me to remake your food. What a dumb question to ask. this is the last time i am coming here i had a loyal customer for YEARS ever since i can remember this had been the spot but after the breakfast incident I am DONE! I will be going to Ricks from now on.

I really recommend this place, my favorite food of this restaurant, is the mix breakfast burrito, if you ever come, you should try it !

I’m giving it three stars because the food is good and the cooks do a good job in getting orders out, but some of the cashiers are slow (if not lazy). In particular, I’ve seen a newer one that’s there weeknights eat with her bf and kid (I’m assuming that’s who they are) leaving her register with people waiting. It’s only when the cooks have called her out to take orders that she gets up and decides to take orders. Food is good though and that’s because of the cooks that handle the multiple orders with ease, but the cashiers are another story.

Good food… ordered the chicken meal great flavor… freshly cooked… pathetic salad. also… cheese burger… was simple with fries.

I normally frequent another Tom’s Burgers in the area but decided to stop here one day. That was a huge mistake. The food was disgusting, cold, sloppy, and ended up getting tossed in the trash. Surprisingly, the food wasn’t even the worst part. The blonde, Hispanic girl with too much eye makeup and horribly drawn on eyebrows was painful to deal with. She kept touching her face and hair as she took my order, would continuously stare off into space while I was talking only to rudely say «Huh?» and make me repeat myself, and was drinking a Starbucks drink as she handed me my food. She rolled her eyes twice. She’s disgusting and obviously can’t handle a customer service job, I’m not sure why an employer would even waste their time with someone who can’t do what their paid to do. If you don’t like your job, do everyone a favor and figure something else out. I ordered a breakfast special in the evening and she asked «You want orange juice or coffee?» I said neither and she literally forced me to pick one and insisted she HAD to give it to me, that I could just throw it away. Is this a joke? I think this place needs a heath inspection because everything going on behind the counter looked gross. What a waste of money. I will go out of my way to tell people not to eat here.

I give this place one star because customer service was awful. The girl with classes at the register gave an attitude and was rushing me to hurry with me order. In my point of view of you guys still want customers I suggest to show her how to do her job. Other then that food was amazing as usual.

Tommy’s is a perfect place to stop for a cycling breakfast. Affordable egg plates with ample food to keep you going for hours. The coffee is hot, the staff is friendly, and they offer fresh salsa for your breakfast.
Tommy’s has a large bike friendly covered patio that will easily accommodate a moderate sized cycling group. Additionally, they were fine with me parking my bike inside this morning.

Drive true took 17 min to get my order, and was WRONG, this place sucks hamburger I got, the meet taste better at County jail.

Shouldn’t have to deal with such stupidity in 2015.
Took twenty mins to make my omelette and then it was wrong. I’m already feeling extremely unwelcome with the bad/​dumbfounded looks on the ladies faces. You can go if you’d like, I’ll never ever return here. This place sucks! I ask for shredded cheese on the omelette, they give me nasty ass American cheese. Ask for no hash browns, it seems they double up on them smh… And grilled toast odds when you put butter in the bread and then toast it on the grill. I specifically said all of this. Paid extra for the avocado. They won by getting my money. Won’t get it again. Stay away from this dump. It’s now at twenty mins and still no food. Stay away!

The food is great!!! Amazing hamburgers, chicken salads overall the food. However, their staff needs some improvement! They have the look that they don’t like working there, it’s usually only girls who are at the register. Sometimes you don’t feel welcomed, they don’t smile, no thank you, no customer service.

Extremely long wait.
I am new in the area so I am not familiar with all the food places or which ones are the best. I always pass this Toms & I see the billboards so I figured I would give them a try. I went through the drive thru. When I got there, there had already been one car waiting at the window. I ordered my food then drove up. (Mind you, I took about 5 mins to decide what I wanted. The whole time the car ahead of me was already sitting at the window with their engine off.) I sat behind that car at the window for 15 minutes!!! Are you serious?! I wanted to leave but I was blocked in as other cars came behind me.
Now 20 minutes later I’m FINALLY at the window. & here is where my REAL problem started. (Whole time I’m smiling & still being friendly). The cashier was rude. Did not apologize for the wait or even acknowledge that I waited a long time. She did not smile once. I said ThankYou 3 times. She never said your welcome. Just slammed the window shut & locked it. Why would I want to eat your food now after you couldn’t even provide good customer service to me? If you hate your job that much then leave. But if a customer is being friendly then you could at least smile back & not look like I’m the one making you have a horrible day.
Oh & when I got to the window my food still wasn’t ready. (Sigh)
2 stars for the taste of the food because it wasn’t horrible. But I will NEVER go back nor recommend this place. Service & first impressions are everything to me & this place acts like we need them. SmH

I ordered the Carne Asada place. The way they prepared it was NOT what i expected. They added Bell Peppers to it which is NOT what i wanted on it. It was over priced for basically a common plate. So much for this BURGER JOINT. I’ve should have gone to MAYA on Avalon @ D street in wilmington. Get Carne Asada burrito instead of the plate. At $ 5.75 very good.

Chili cheese fries are awesome, but the customer service is lacking. I have never seen a person smile the many times I have been there unless maybe joking with another employee. It feels like they are there at your privilege. Sad. Also I have never seen an employee know how to use coupons for the establishment. Owner needs to teach/​inform

This place sucks. Burger sucks, the waffle was burnt, and the drink was flat. Never coming here again.

Came here on a quick cheap lunch for their 32^nd anniversay special:
99 Cent Chili CheeseBurger, 99 Cent Chili Cheese Fries and 1.49 smoothies of which I ordered the Strawberry Colada.
An extremely cheap fattening daily calorie limit greasy gooey sloppy chili mess and that is exactly what I needed after a well deserved workout which was a first in half a year for me: p

OKAY… SO…
I was working at the street fair on Avalon & Anaheim with my friend and we were super hungry. So I asked some guy if he knew of any fast food places nearby, and he said Tom’s. So I went here for the first time because Im not from the area, and I ordered a jr. special and my friend ordered a western bacon cheeseburger special. I liked that they had the drinks outside because you could get free horchata refills and stuff :) but anyway, then the service turned bad.
They called our order # and the chola cashier with sharpy eyebrows said «mushroom combo ready». My friend and I were like what? mushroom? we said western bacon cheeseburger. The girl got SO MAD and she rolled her eyes at us and went to the kitchen to tell the cooks that we «changed» our order when it was all her fault to begin with,. SHE DIDNT HEAR OUR ORDER CORRECTLY!
All I started hearing was her COMPLAINING about «they said mushroom wtf ugghhhh». SHE WAS COMPLAINING LIKE A 5 YR OLD RIGHT IN FRONT OF US.
I was sooooooo mad. Like, hello. WERE CUSTOMERS. You’re the employee who’s supposed to keep her calm especially if it was her mistake!
Point is, the service was bad cause of that chola girl. She should really take etiquette classes.
The food on the other hand, was GREAT AND DELICIOUS :)
