I stayed there for 5 months while building my house. It was less expensive(~$ 900 month) than renting an apartment for short term. This is not a Marriott or a Hampton inn, the room services are limited, the desk hours are limited and many of the people staying there are trades people who are working out of town. I was on the 4th floor which is non– smoking and very quiet at night. My only inconvenience was that housekeeping occasionally forgot to leave towels or pillow cases. The basic internet service is very slow($ 10 weekly, but free for extended stay) Better to opt for upgraded service($ 20).

Keep in mind my 3 stars are from a frugal college student who always stays in the cheapest hotel I can find :). I was in Wilmington looking for apartments to move here. I stayed here in June of this year. When I checked in, we had to wait a while because there was«a situation» and«cops» around. These are quotes directly from the horrible woman who checked us in. I do not believe you should tell your guests there are cops there, but that’s just me. It took us about 2 hours to check in after all the issues and waiting around. The internet had a lot of issues trying to log in after I paid for it. The same woman helped get it working, but it took a lot longer than it should have(probably about an hour). For me, the internet was not slow, so I’m not sure what the issues were with the other reviewers. After these initial issues, we had no problems all week. I felt the sheets were fine and the room was very clean. We loved the cook top and full fridge so we could save a bit of money on eating out. There were a few creepy people staying there(I think a decent amount of people live there), but I felt relatively safe. We were originally told we had to check out during office hours, which would have been a huge issue(we had a 9 hour drive home and needed to leave early). Their office hours are limited and it was already a pain enough to check in. After we were told this by one staff, another staff told us we could just leave the keys and have the room checked prior to check-out. We were concerned about not getting our deposit back, but we got it within a few days with no issues. I would stay here again because I think it is a great value(around $ 200 for the whole week). Don’t expect luxury!

My last stay at this place was very disappointing. I called a week or two ahead of time to make reservations. When I got there, there was no record of my reservation, so I did not get the non-smoking, first floor room that I requested. Instead, we got a smoking room that had huge cigarette burns in the carpet. The room was not clean. There was urine on the bathroom toilet and floor, and food on the carpet. We had to scrub the floor ourselves because it was sticky and disgusting. The next morning we went to tell the staff member about it, and she gave us an attitude and refused to give us new linens or a vacuum. She said she wasn’t sure if they’d have time to clean it either. There seems to be a group of drug dealers living here as well. They ride the elevator up and down all night. Our room was infested with fleas. Also, be prepared not to get much sleep. People blast their tvs, and it comes right through the walls. The only pros are the cheap cost and the kitchen. I’ve stayed here in the past, and I didn’t have any problems, so this place must have just gone very downhill over the past year or so. The staff that is there now doesn’t seem to care about anything.

I had to wait 30 min to check in because the check in staff was busy elsewhere in the hotel. I did get an upgrade to my room because they were out of single rooms to a double room for price of single. But other than the wait to check in, I have had no problems. I have a clean(non-smoking) room, It’s been quiet, I’ve slept well. The shower doesn’t have great pressure, but it’s not too horrible. Clean towels are available by request. The air conditioner works well and has an automatic setting so you can set your desired temperature and forget about it. You get what you pay for here, literally. After taxes and fees, including internet, for a single room it breaks down to $ 33/night. That is a great deal and you should expect to get that quality of hotel if that is what you are paying. My internet has not given me problems, but yes it is slow:
