Excellent place ! When I visit my friends in Wilmington we often venture here for good food and ice cream.

Great little place in the middle of nowhere! $ 6 cheeseburger, really yummy! Some people said it was pricey but we thought it was worth it :) the blue cheese was really strong… quality blue cheese. We would stop again… If we are ever in Vermont.

Philip sorry about your experience but this place is a winner, esp. as its in the middle of no where. I had a Mabel patty melt perfectly cooked MR. Excellent fries and ice coffee, I was happy as a man lost in S Vermont. So glad I checked it out on Unilocal,a mile down the road. PS the college girls were lovely to me, maybe a tad slow, but the burger was Perfect!

We live in the area and Wahoo’s is our go-to summer outing for lunch, dinner or ice cream. My new favorite(and new on the employee specials menu) are the Korean BBQ tacos. Delicious! Wahoo’s adds creative menu items each year. This is not your standard roadside burger stand. Try the Bonanza burger!

This place hits the spot! Good burgers and good ice cream. I was camping in the area, needed a quick bite and saw this place. It’s exactly what it looks like which is why I give it 5 stars. It’s a quick burger place and you get a quick, made to order, burger. The Mallory burger was very good. Also, never ate on while sitting on a rock before. Very fun!

Wahoo’s enjoys a sterling reputation for its community involvement, and that is more than reciprocated by customers who flock to this ultra-casual roadside stand day and night. And with good reason. Everything is cooked to order. We found the 6-ounce burgers from local grass-fed cattle exceptionally delicious: moist, not too overcooked(you can of course order well done if you want to avoid any flavor) and with a wide choice of fixings. Burgers are $ 6. The regular fries and parmesan /garlic fries are every bit as good, and the serving size is quite large. Our fellow-diners raved about their chili cheese dogs($ 2.25−2.95); we have yet to sample them. But you can also choose a variety of sandwiches including a veggie burger, if so inclined. And they serve ice cream and shakes to a constant line of folks; we passed on dessert after getting filled up on the yummy burgers. Seating is outdoors, either at picnic tables or on soft, level rocks near the river, or, as we noticed, some people bring their own chairs and tables. Some Unilocalers have noticed dirty areas; the bathroom and surroundings were clean when we looked, however. Folks in Wilmington, ravaged by Irene in 2011, tell us the owners endured a lot of damage, but like others here they have survived by helping out their neighbors. Not that you need another reason to enjoy the tasty food here, but doesn’t that make you feel pretty good, too?

The burgers — really one star. Too raw inside, mushy, lack of any flavor and price too high — 6 bucks. Turkey burger tasted better(but no pickles??)) but too dry and again, blah. 4 stars for the ice cream soft serve. Super creamy, good(but not outstanding) flavor. For the ice cream the price is right, plus it is a fun outdoor summertime stop!(and crowded!!)

Only 5 reviews? Huh? Maybe you just don’t have to review something that is legendary. I’ve only been a very temporary Vermonter over the years, and even I knew about it and couldn’t wait to get back here. I had(ahem, on several occasions… apologies to the diet I was supposed to be on!) a great 6oz burger of VT grass-fed beef and cheese(sometimes with blue cheese, yummm). The bun is awesome, brioche-style but slightly crispy/crackly. I had some perfect hand cut fries, and maybe the best(I.e. non-soggy/underfried) sweet potato fries I’ve ever had. This is not a fancy-schmancy burger, not a restaurant-style burger, it is what it is, a roadside joint with picnic tables, and it excels at what it does. In fact, I took a young French friend of mine here to show her what a good American Hamburger can taste like. She liked it, of course, How could you not?(Ok, technically if one were a vegetarian…) Go visit the little creek behind the tables outside. It’s a cute little place that seems almost like a secret.

Not impressed. Yes its a roadside stand, but we have come to expect better things from even foodtrucks so why should a roadside be any different? The hamburgers were tasteless waited forever to get it too. Fries were good as were the sweet potato fries. The ice cream was bland too. Bet your bottom dollar i wont be back.
