Loved this place. I was a first time visitor over Thanksgiving weekend with friends who had been there before. We brought a board game and hung out in the barn for a flight and a beer. The beer was very good and with eight on tap you’re bound to find something you like. The barn was a little cold but nothing a sweater or jacket can’t solve. Based on the pictures it looks like we’ll have to go back in the summer for the beautiful farm views, it was dark by the time we left. Worth the drive! Check the website for the schedule of open weekends.

This is a cool 1 hour 15 minute or so(each way) cruise to Wisconsin from Minneapolis. Great way to spend a beautiful weekend afternoon. Just a short drive off of I-94, you walk into the beer room out back to Dave and his wife’s friendly greeting and usually 8 beer types(you can do a flight of all 8 for a fair price). Or buy a pint for a fair price. The farm is wind powered, and they do grow some of their own hops. The beers are less hoppy more malty(no IPA here) but they have a decent variety and the quality is good. Free popcorn to boot, plus they appear to organize various events from time to time like 5K, bike rides, etc.

One of the best places I’ve found thanks to Unilocal.Just a great place to go enjoy craft beer made by Dave. I had the opportunity to go sample a flight and couldn’t imagine a better way to kill a Sunday. Beer and company are top notch.

Honestly worth the trip! Bring Cash — no Credit Card… his flights are original and outstanding. He has something that no other place has around.

This place is FREAKINGOUTSTANDING. The awesomeness includes: 1. Dave, who is amazingly welcoming, gracious and just plain fun to talk to. Everyone I encountered — from those pouring the beers to those drinking them, were friendly. The vibe is totally positive. 2. The place — we brought a grill, a picnic, launched rockets, wandered the fields, picked pumpkins… it was so great. 3. Kids have fun too. They are welcome, and there is plenty of space to run around, toss a football, launch rockets, explore, catch crickets… 4. The beer. I am not a huge fan of Belgian or farmhouse style beers, which were the selection when we visited, but I know the selection changes frequently, and for not being a fan of these styles typically, I drank the entirety of each of my samples, and it was fun to explore a style that I would not have otherwise done. 5. The prices — totally reasonable. I would go here again in a heartbeat, and totally will.

Went here a few hours ago for a tour… Pam and David were VERY friendly! I had three of the beers… as part of the tour. Thanks! Thought the Carrotfest and Wheatless Wonder were both great! Very much enjoyed The Bruiser! Thought the place was VERY cool as the brewery is below their home! Will definitely go back! They are in the process of building a separate taproom just on the other side of the road on their property. Don’t know if I’ll wait until that is done to go back… may have to be before then… I highly recommend checking this place out… if you’ve seen other craft breweries or not… this place is different and GREAT! Very coo? l! Great beer?!! Friendly beer?!! Don’t mind if I do!

Dave’s BrewFarm is a one-of-a-kind brewery. Located in the lower half of the primary residence, the brewery utilizes wind-generated electricity and uses the waste heat to warm the rest of the residence. The upper structure utilizes recycled lumber and timbers. They grow numerous varieties of hops and herbs for flavoring in the beer. They also have an onsite honeybee hive, from which they harvest honey for use in their beer. Dave usually has 8 beers on tap with an ever-changing selection. Although many of his beers can be classified as pale ales and saisons, he enjoys experimenting with ingredients, such as pomegranate juice, fresh pears, or basil. His beers are rarely over the top and almost always approachable. The setting is rural, peaceful, and scenic. Occasionally, a cow from a neighboring field can be found wondering around the back acreage. Dave’s BrewFarm is an easy drive from the Twin Cities metro area, located a few miles north of I-94, about 28 miles from Hudson, WI.

There is not a better brewery in the Twin Cities/Western Wisconsin region than Dave’s BrewFarm! The setting is gorgeous, and the beers are even better! Definitely worth the journey during open tap room hours, which are posted on their blog and Facebook pages.
