Pheasant Ridge Rv Park

I have been going to this RV Park for about 15 years. Now it is overpriced.
Do the words Bait and Switch come to mind when calling into reserve a site? Bait and Switch is there game now!!! Arrived, took off my towed car, drove my motorhome to the only site available. There was an RV in my site, I drove my motorhome back to office. My wife and I went back to the office and was told by the young lady at the desk that those people in my spot were supposed to have left, but another site has just come open, but it is $ 10.00 more. It was late in afternoon and we were tired. We took the spot any ways. Never again will we stay at Pheasant Ridge. We will tell all of our friends and fellow travelers to avoid this RV Park. The Bait and Switch Game is alive and well at this RV Park!!!

Wel, it’s clean and organized. But overpriced, rules everywhere about everything you might or might not want to do… They *weighed* my 16 pound dog on the way in to make sure she was under 40 lbs. Pool is broken, Internet doesn’t work except in the office (and no plans to get it fixed) even though a nonfunctional/​misleading wifi signal appears to be available throughout the park, «pond» is dried up, and since the water comes from a well, there’s no washing the RV and it tastes funny. I guess it’s fine if you’re the sort who would live in a neighborhood with a militant HOA and snooty neighbors who compare the price tags of their RVs, but it’s not my cup of tea. And frankly, the receptionist was curt… not quite rude, but not particularly welcoming either.

I have read all the reviews for this park and I am stunned at some of the comments.
I have stayed here a dozen times over the last couple years. I stay here and at other parks in the area 1 week /​month for work. This is by far the best park in or around Portland. And I have stayed at most of them. The cable is great. The one time I did have a problem they had the cable company out the next morning to fix it. Turned out to be a setting on my trailers entertainment system and not the cable. Still I was not charged and the cable guy took the time to explain something about my trailer that I didn’t even know about (Kudos to the cable company). They have since upgraded the cable and now we get even more channels. The staff has always been nice and I have never been treated poorly. The indoor pool and hot tub are great with the exception of the winter hours being to short in my opinion. As far as the spaces being to small, I have a 35 foot trailer with 3 sides and two power awnings and have never had any trouble getting my trailer in with room for my tow vehicle. Most spaces even have enough room for my other car if my wife comes to visit. The roads in the park are easy to navigate.

Back for a couple nights while Hubby works on GRIMM. So peaceful. There’s no place like home. They gave us our same spot, remembered us. Had a long swim and shower relaxed while he worked. Raining like cRaZy. Soothing rain on the RV. Love it here. The Staff is friendly and laughs at our jokes!!! Just lovely!!!

Decent R.V. park (could use a little more space between the lots) but it is a nice, quiet, clean property. Lots of trees for shade, and the staff has been polite. No loud trains, no loud plains, and my kids could use their life jackets in the pool… unlike Jantzen Beach R.V. Park (Highly NOT recommended) Four starts for Pheasant Ridge, just wish there was more space between the neighbors.

The staff were friendly to us, unlike other reviewers. After that, forget it.
The sites are tiny and impossible to park your rig in. The grass is practically dead. The roads are impossibly small for an RV park, for God’s sake. I could pee out my window and hit multiple neighbors.
No room at my spot for my 5^th wheel and my truck and nowhere to park my truck. No room to bbq. Oh, and an unlevel spot so my rig looked like it was ready for takeoff.
How this place calls themselves premier and top 8 in the country, I have no idea.
And to add insult to injury, the wi-​fi sucks so bad I have to use 4g to post this review!

I don’t know where they think they got the nomenclature that they were one of the best parks in the country. I think the person that gave that title to them must be related.
I did not have a very good experience here. First of all I called ahead of time to make the reservation. I told them that I had a new Dodge pick-​up pulling a 26 foot trailer. When I arrived there was a woman in the lobby having a very boisterous conversation with the staff because they did something wrong for her. The way the staff handle that was very condescending and matter-​of-​factly. The woman steamed out and now it was my turn.
They actually had me in a small spot because they made the note that I had a 26 foot motorhome pulling a new Dodge pick up. Really? A 26 foot motorhome pulling a Dodge pick up? What were they thinking?
Since I would be here for more than a month, I had to fill out a lengthy application including Social Security number, references, RV parks I stayed with in the past, everything you can imagine. You’d think I was applying for a job at the NSA!
It took them three days to contact all of the References. And get this, here are some of the questions they asked my employer and some of my friends:
«How long has Mr. so-​and-​so been working for you?»
«Do you think Mr. so-​and-​so is honest?»
«Would you let Mr. so-​and-​so into your house while you were on vacation?»
One of my friends replied with that last question with, «yes I would even if my 17-​year-​old daughter was in the house with him.»
I could not believe the third degree that I got just to park a trailer for 30 days!!!
It wasn’t like I look like white trash. I make very good money, I drive a brand-​new Dodge pick up and a brand-​new trailer!
So I’m at the counter for registration and I begin to pay with my credit card, like most people do. Are you ready for this? They charge you $ 15 to use your credit card or debit card if you were on monthly rate. If you use your credit card or debit card on the weekly rate you don’t get charged $ 15. Nowhere on their website or any signs in the office say anything about this. I asked them how was I supposed to pay without paying the $ 15. They said you can pay by cash or check. Who pays cash in those amounts, or carries a checkbook with them anymore? When I asked why the $ 15, she told me it was because the credit card companies charge for that. That is a flat out lie!!! Boldface rip off! And if I were to add another week onto my month, it would still cost me 15 more dollars to use my credit card. So I paid cash. It was an inconvenience to go to an ATM machine.
There’s a dark-​haired girl that usually works at night, and she is the most rude and disgusting customer service person I’ve ever met. If she work for my company, she would be fired for the way she talks to people! There is, however, a young Latina girl working in the office and she is most pleasurable and accommodating. The rest of the staff should learn from her.
If you have pets, expect to get the third-​degree on your dog or cat size and weight. And there’s no place for your dog to go poop, so they tend to poop in the area where the horseshoes are and the children’s play area is.
The laundry room is good.
The indoor swimming pool and Jacuzzi are nice.
But you will feel like you are in a gulag here, because everywhere you look there are signs telling you what you can’t do. Don’t go here, don’t go there, be sure you don’t do this, don’t go over there, don’t have your pet here, do this, do that, go to hell!
The advantage of having target and Costco right across the street is so that you don’t have to pay the ridiculously high prices they have in their little mini mart. Anybody with half a brain can see that their prices are so high that they are insulting.
The Internet quality there is mediocre. The TV reception, which they call cable TV, is practically nonexistent. You will get at least 10 TV stations in Spanish, 10 TV stations of infomercials, 5 stations of religious broadcasting, and 10 stations that we don’t really know who they’re for. A few local news stations, but other than that you don’t get CNN, Fox news, headline news, or anything really entertaining. You’ll be glad if you have a satellite dish with you.
Now let’s talk about the spaces.
I don’t know what the premier spaces are like, but the regular ones on the monthly rate are so tight you can barely get your RV in and out. When you step out of your door, you’re not on concrete, but on grass. And every morning when I go outside, their sprinklers are on spraying my vehicle and getting all the grass wet where I want to step out and into my RV. I wanted to put my awning out all the way, and it would be blocked by a tree. Your neighbor is less than 12 feet away. There is absolutely no privacy.

Rude people! Both the owners and the desk employee’s are rude. Our friends reserved the spot next to us and they gave it away even though he paid for the night. We had these spots next to each other reserved over a month ago.
The people next door had kids and I watched the owner chew them out several times for what I thought was nothing. They were playing and having fun, not even being loud. I watched the whole thing. I wouldn’t take my kids here. This place is made for retirees and retirees only. I will never come back. These folks are not accomadating at all. Stay someplace else.
Addendum:
The last day we were there I was bbqing out side, I hung a small white platistic garbage bag on my awning which is against the rules. I forgot about the bag and went to my neighbors site to eat my steak. The owner of the rv park or manager, or what ever she was, walked by, spotted my garbage bag, became very angry, and threw it against the side of my trailer, spilling garbage around. I knew I wasn’t supposed to have a garbage bag ha. ging from my trailer so I didn’t say anything (a little scared too.). My friends and I just picked up the garbage and laughed it off. At this point I ju
