Stopped in the tasting room after a day of beer tastings. Needed to change it up a bit :) I loved the atmosphere, the ladies were really nice and knowledgable of their stuff. I love the white rice wine – it was sweet and would be really good after dinner with dessert. The vodka was pretty potent and I’m not usually one to drink liquor straight. The second vodka or as she called it «white whiskey» was even stronger. They did make us a nice refreshing mixed drink with the first vodka, which was delicious. It’ll be fun to see this vodka in stores and remember the story behind it.

We went to the tasting room as part of the distillery row passport experience, and it was definitely the highlight of the tour. All of the spirits are distilled and fermented from rice — I could never have imagined that the single ingredient Mijiu(Rice Wine) could have so much complexity in flavor. This is a family owned business, and if you get to talk to one of the siblings behind the bar they will tell you the fascinating story behind their parent’s drink recipes and the story of how the distillery started in Wilsonville. And hey, Portlanders — the best part is these beverages are all 100% gluten-free for your food-allergy convenience!

I’ve had the pleasure of visiting this distillery for a private tour. Walking in you see rows of baijiu fermenting, each being taking care of by their master distiller to ensure the quality of their product is the best you can get. Coming in here the distillery looks very simple, but then if you’ve been to enough distilleries they aren’t about the frills and it’s all about knocking out the best product they know how. i love their product and what they’re doing and i look forward in seeing them grow as the popularity of this liquor grows.
